Robin - Modern Tim Drake
I was a little disappointed in the production DCUC 3 Robin so I decided to try to make one closer in height to the prototype we saw pics of months ago.
Recipe:
DCUC 3 Robin > Head, Cape, Forearms, Belt, Legs from the Knees Down
DCUC 3 Sinestro (Classic) > Torso, Upper Arms, Waist and Upper Legs
Used Rex Lace to make the Shirt Clasps and Decopauged the "R" emblem
Paint - Citadel and Model Masters
I had a Sinestro that had the exploding pelvis due to the size of the Leg Peg Heads (say that 3 times fast) so taking him apart was pretty easy. Did my normal opening of the torso (I'll make a tutorial about this I swear), sanded down his rub points and swapped belts. The Robin belt was a little thicker than the Sinestro belt so I had to do some grinding on it in order for the waist swivel to clear it enough for the torso to reattach. While I had him apart I base coated his hard to reach spots in his shoulders and waist. The put him back together and used Fixit to cover up the drill holes in his torso.
I had to do a fair bit of trimming to the underside of the shoulder and neck area of his cape to get it to fit the bigger neck of the Sinestro body. If I do this again, and I probably will, I'll sand down the shoulders and neck of the figure too.
Let me know what y'all think!
Thanx!
