Went with a WWE figure for the upper torso, and a LOTR Lurtz figure for the legs. The head and accessories came from the Neca Leonidas. All the scars/wounds were done with apoxie and the cape came from a Spawn I.23.
History writes that this Spartan King had fought in numerous battles. For this version, wanted to show him doing what he does best; mauling in the mosh pits, breaking the bones of his enemies. Much of the blood spatter illustrated is from an external source - meaning, it's blood that's projected by the other dude that got his head lopped off, or sternum hacked in two. You get the picture lol. There are some deep wounds on Leonidas, just to show that this warrior had no qualms about taking as much as he cared to dish out. The tattered cape really adds to the battle-damaged style, and is much more heroic looking than the original cape. Going with the wrestler figure gave him much needed articulation, and also made him appear more staunch - all around bigger, rugged and unstoppable.
Anyone who can thwart the Persian army with just a handful of his "bodyguards" certainly belongs on this list. Making number 7, Leonidas puts the gore in hardcore. Thanks for checking this out!
warrior or something of that nature.
Really nice job on the paint-you really got a good realistic blood color.
