![[Beast; X-Men First Class] Adding Beast to my X-Men First Class team.
The base figure was a wolfman I found in my nephew's toybox. I cut down his tattered slacks and smoothed out his upper arms (for sleeves) Then I molded his entire vest/belts/buckles, as well as the piping for his sleeves. For the vest I used an Xacto knife for all the little side ridges, and the handle of the knife for the vest's texture. There was a little carving done to his face-mainly around the eyes and upper lip.
Painted the face and fur with a very light blue, then went back and dry brushed with a darker blue. Painted the upper lip details, eyebrows, eyes, and nose with a toothpick. Then painted the vest yellow, belts black and silver, and the uniform in two different blues for movie accuracy. The only articulation I lost was in the chest, but other than that, he's fully functional. Hope you guys enjoy!](userimages/customs/49500/49400-1.jpg) Beast; X-Men First Class X-Men - Moviesby Blain3Adding Beast to my X-Men First Class team.

This was actually my favorite costume of hers in the movie, and I was very lucky to come across the ML Mystique, as I found it to be the perfect base.
RECIPE- So first I cut off the belt that came with the figure and molded a new one. Then I remove the head and painted the clothing in a high-gloss enamel white. Once that was dry, I added the silver to her belt buckle and zippers.
For her skin I used a matte flesh tone (couple of coats to cover that blue). Then repainted her face using the tip of a safety pin. Her hair was painted a mustard color first, then I dry-brushed with a light yellow/tan/white mix, and then a third (very light) dry brush of white with a touch of yellow.
I added a before and after shot, as well as a "fun diamond form" shot.

You can check the original posting if you want to, but you´ll have to scroll a lot of old and crappy customs...This time I gave him a complete repaint, now that I have grown more confident of my painting skills, specially on skin tones. ![[Mystique X-Men First Class] My second FirstClass custom, and I think a huge improvement from the first. I still can't believe they didn't do figures for this movie- but alas, I took matters into my own hands. I used the PowerBlast Invisible Woman from the first Fantastic Four movie. At first, I was going to use a Hunger Games Katniss by Neca (same actress) but the head was entirely too big, and I actually think once the Sue fig was painted, the resemblance is striking. During World War II, Logan teamed up with Captain America and Bucky Barnes in Madripoor. The two were unaware of his mutation, believing him to merely be extraordinarily lucky, and dubbed him “Lucky James.” He fought in various missions, already soon making a name for himself as one of the best soldiers in the division.
