![[Wolverine] Used a fantasic 4 roto Sue Storm for this custom. Most of the work went onto the head. Removed the hair, filled in the slot in the head with Apoxie, then cut the "ears" out of sheet syrene and glued them on the head. I used Apoxie to fill in the seams around the ears and shape the ears a little more and then also sculpted the eye brows. ![[School Girl] Doctor Vorlon over on Deviant Art commissioned me to create a custom figure of his character School Girl. It took me months to finish!(Thanks to Tyler for being so patient). She was a real challenge to complete, mainly because of the head/hair. I used a Sakura Street Fighter figure for the base. I took the hair from a PVC figure I found online, after about 3 attempts at sculpting the hair the way I wanted. I sculpted the collar, shirt details and skirt belt. It is going to be a Christmas present for someone. I used a torso and upper legs from a Gears3 Marcus Fenix figure and the lower legs from a Gears2 Fenix. The arms are from a Grayson Hunt Bulletstorm figure all made by NECA. I used a Mattel WWE superstars Terry Funk figure for the head and hat, I used apoxie to sculpt the beard and used thin styrene sheet to shape the brim of the hat. I sculpted the details on the chest with Apoxie, I used some bullets from some dollar store soldiers for the shotgun shells on the chest, I cut off the ends of the bullets and sculpted over the shells. ![[Mythic] One of my latest customs. This is the winning character from mja42x's Deviant Universe contest, held back in April. I was asked to judge and provide the prize for the contest. His name is Mythic and he is the ceation of Eric Lamont.
For this figure I used a DC Direct Superfriends Superman body and a Superfriends Batman cape, with a DC Direct History of the DC Universe Black Lightning head. I sanded down the boot tops on the legs, filled in the lines around the pelvis and sculpted the front of the chest all with apoxie. For the head I dremmeled down the afro and resculpted the hair, also with apoxie and sanded down the mask. The figure is made from a X-23 body, arms and legs, Hobgoblin boots and Cyclops gloves all from the Marvel Legends line. The head is from a Secret Satudays Zak figure heavily sculpted on after removing the hair, the mask and hair was sculpted on with Apoxie, really the only original thing left exposed are his ears lower chin and neck. The boots were modified using Apoxie, the belt and skull buckle were also sculpted with Apoxie, The cape came from my fodder bin and was distressed by me. The knot on the neck of the cape came from my fodder also, it was cut off a head wrap thingy and glued to the cape, a little Apoxie was used to make it look like it was there all along. ![[Wyatt Earp - Kurt Russell] This figure was a birthday present I gave to my wife a couple of weeks ago, her favorite movie is Tombstone. The base figure is a Dusty Trail Toys U.S. Marshall Tombstone figure. I tried as much as possible to make the face look like Kurt Russell. I added some width to the "jowls", a little more to the chin and also a cleft. I changed the nose to be a little more bulbous on the end and extended the ends of the mustache a little, then painted it all up. I removed the so...2 comments | ![[Zombie Venom] I created a Zombie Venom from a Resident Evil figure, I don't know the name of the base figure but I found it in the loose bin at my comic shop and liked the his look. He had a bunch of little spikes stiking out everywhere and I removed those. The head was already split on the upper mouth so I kept that and had it run up the head into a big wound. I sculpted the big stomach, shoulder, back wounds and the gun shot holes, all the smaller wounds were already there. I also sculpted the tongue. ![[Joker] For this female Joker figure I used a Twin2 Matrix figure from Mc Farlane and a Gear Metal Solid Fortune head also from Mc Farlane. I sculpted the chest with Apoxie Sculpt. Used a small drill bit on my dremel to carve out the mouth and the filled it in with apoxie sculpt and sculpted the scars. I used a drill bit for the bullet holes on the pillar behind her, filled them with super glue and let the shrinkage(he,he) that naturally occurs make it look like a bullet hit the pillar, then a little paint.
