![[Indiana Jones] Hi All,
I always wanted to make a Raiders Well of the Souls diorama but in 3-3/4" scale finding snakes that look good and finding a lot of them was my biggest problem so I decided to scale the dio down to a partial Well of Souls as you can see in the pics.
I have to thank inky_skin from the Raiders forum for sending me what snakes he had if he didn't I wouldn't have been able to build this partial dio THANKS BUDDY. Once the figures and dio where done they were painted and weatherd using Vallejo, GW paints and chalk pastels.
RECIPE
1: Figures - Indy and Sallah are both from Hasbro and Sallah is straight from the package, I filled the joints up using plastacine and then covered his main body with soaked tissue paper to hide the joints and to see how tissue paper would look as cloth at this scale and I was more then happy with the results.

I wanted to make a small Indy dio with Indy coming down a rope getting ready to explore an old forgotten temple hidden away for centuries. Once the dio was set up to the desired look it was painted and weathered using Vallejo, GW paints and chalk pastels.
RECIPE
1: Figure - The legs are from the Indy and Horse deluxe set, the torso is from KOTCS Indy the jacket and arms are from the Pitfall Indy and the head is from the TOD Indy.
2: Base - The base I picked up from local hardware store in the craft section, the column is from the 7" Disney Indy figure. The back wall and floor are pieces of foamcore cut to size and then very carefully peeling off one side to reveal the foam underneath.
Once the foam was revealed I started drawing the stones into the foam using a STABILO felt 0.4 pen and then once happy with the look I used a ballpoint pen and started going over the felt pen lines and pushing the ballpoint pen into the foam. ![[Indiana Jones and the Shrine of the Sea Devil] Hi All,
When I made my 1/6 Shrine of the Sea Devil with Indy in Deep sea diver outfit I always wanted to make this diorama from the comic book cover of the same title.
RECIPE
1: Figure & Octopus Tentacle - Indy legs, torso, head and upper arms are from the TOD figure and the forearms are from KOTCS figure. The figure was repositioned and then the joints superglued and once dry the joints were puttied up.
The bag has had the plastic straps removed and replaced with thin leather strips and the knife was the ROTLA Monkey Man figure which as had the tip reshaped.
The Octopus's Tentacles were made by cutting up a wire coat hanger and shaping them and then air dry clay was used to mold around the wire until I was happy with the thickness.
The suction cups were also made from air drying clay and small ball were made then pressed onto the tentacles and then I used a tooth pick and scribed around each suction cup to get the desired affect.

I superglued what joints they had and then covered them with putty, I painted them using Vallejo and GW paints and weathered them using Vallejo paints and pastels.
Base - Is an old Sideshow Star Wars base and I used modelling clay and plaster of Paris to build the ground work up. Once the plaster dried I then used dried up potty mix for the soil as this is perfect for swamp areas.
When the potty mix had dried I used Woodland Sccenics realistic water and lightly covered the potty mix to give it a damp feel to it.

I've been thinking of doing this vehicle for a long time now and finally decided to do it after watching Raiders on bluray. I decided not to give the vehicle any figures as I wanted to just show of the vehicle itself.
The vehicle and diorama were painted and weathered using Vallejo, GW paints and pastel chalks.
RECIPE
1: Vehicle is from the Hasbro Indiana Jones line and all in all not a bad representation of the movie vehicle. I made a few alterations by cutting the lights and mirrors off and removing the plastic/rubber holdings and adding new ones using plasticard and metal photo etched strips.
The seats and roof were covered with two layer of tissue paper by using diluted PVA glue. The MG34 machine was made by using the end of a Star Wars weapon (sorry can't remember which one) and the barrel of a Sandtrooper MG - 15 Blaster, the ammunition canister I used from a 1/18 German MG42.

RECIPE
1: Indiana Jones - Everything on indy is from Sideshow except the Hat which is from Hero Heads and the shoes are from Hasbro's Indy. The whip has been made using the hand grip from Sideshow bendable whip with leather braiding which I got from the local craft store, the torch is made using sticks again from the local craft store with string wrapped around it.
2: The Crate/Display - The crate is a bottle holder which is used to transport the bottle so it doesn't get damaged. I used balsa wood and glued it to the holder then scribed the lines into to simulate the individual boards and the garage cut to size and then pushed into place and superglued.

Dewback and Sandtrooper - Are from the new set, the Sandy has just had a repaint and I left the articulation so he and be used off and on the Dewback.
The Dewback has had it's joints superglued and sealed using polymer clay. The harness has been removed and replaced with a leather one the only parts I used was the saddle, large rolls and the plastic mouth grips.
The reins have had metal O-rings added and leather used, I used 1/6 buckles to complete the harness. The extra gear is parts from some WW2 German and American equipement.
I decided to give the blaster it's own holster like I did with my 1/6 version and also added a holster for the prode stick as well.
Base - Was one I used for a 1/6 WW2 German dio I did a while ago, I dropped it while I was cleaning a decided to use it for this. The Dewback can come off so it can be moved around.](userimages/customs/35000/34580-1.jpg) Sandtrooper and Dewback Star Warsby HembleHi All
