![[Frank Drake] When I first started reading comics a few years ago, it was Tomb of Dracula I started with, so Frank Drake is a special character for me. He’s never worn any great costumes or anything, so it came easy deciding to go with his most memorable outfit – the one from the Nightstalkers book.
I’ve been working on this figure for quite some time, or actually, his hair. Preparing and fixing the body using FIXIT Sculpt wasn’t very hard, but the hair took some patience. I simply used FIXIT Sculpt, adding a few hairs at a time, then letting it harden so I could add more without the previous hair being affected. This is by far my best pony-tail yet, but also the most fragile one – if this figure fall off the shelf, his hair will probably get smashed!
The body is from Fantastic Four Movie's Mr Fantastic and the head is Face-Off Captain America.
I added that belt/strap-thing because he used to wear something like it, and he looked to plain without it. It was made from Mr](userimages/customs/2000/1981-1.jpg) Frank Drake | ![[Snowblind] Here’s a Ghost Rider villain (one at least I haven’t seen a custom of before) from the ‘90s series:
First impressions aren’t as important as people say. When I first encountered Snowblind when I read Ghost Rider, I thought he was a lame old man in tights, but as the series progressed and the character returned, I started to really like him. That’s why I originally wanted to make the version where he’s wearing a suit, but once I realized how easy it would be to use Bullseye to make Snowblind’s original costume, I gave in and did that.
It was pretty easy – just added a few things and painted it. The head is Magneto’s as y’all probably know.
I’m satisfied with the figure, but not overly pleased. It’ll do, that’s for sure!
Oh yeah, I gave him a cell phone (from X-Files figure) since he always seems to be on the phone :P](userimages/customs/2000/1979-1.jpg) Snowblind |

Being one of the three main characters of "Darkhold: Pages From the Book of Sins", Sam was right there in the middle of the Midnight Sons saga, taking part in all the three major crossover events.
Buchanan was at first sceptic to all supernatural things and didn't really believe it was real, but once he was convinced of its existence, he started hating all supernatural things.
After the group fell apart, he went after Vengeance, but after fighting, the two teamed up and joined a special forces task team. That was awesome...
I bought the TNA figure with making Buchanan in mind several months ago, but I still needed a head, that of Sentry, to be able to make the figure.
So once I'd gotten the head, I needed to wait for FIXIT Sculpt, that I got yesterday!! Since I intended to cover up his body, I used the crappy Movie Spider-Man as a base, but since I kinda broke off the arms when trying to open up the torso, I used the crappy Movie Doctor Doom torso and arms instead, which worked out even better!
I sewed (and then painted) the clothes. The pants were easy, but the robe-thing was really troublesome, both when making it, and painting it.
The oversized buttons are made of sculpey.

![[Brother Voodoo] Brother Voodoo is a great ally to the Midnight Sons. He has teamed up with Frank Drake, Blade, Doctor Strange, Morbius, Werewolf, Ghost Rider and Blaze on several different occasions, both during the 70s, 80s, and the 90s. I love him, he’s so cool, that Jericho Drumm.
I bought this TNA figure months ago in anticipation of making Brother Voodoo, and now I finally had a head to use – The head of Cable. I had thought it would be a perfect choice, but I could have done better. I tried to smooth out the wrinkles in the face, but it doesn’t change the fact that the chin is huge!
The legs are from ML Angel. I spent a lot of time trying to keep the waist joint, but it doesn’t matter now because those suspender-things limits his movement plenty.
I did my best to imitate the pictures from the comics, but I wouldn’t dare to make bare feet, so he got red boots instead :(

I made this custom today, kind of experimental, using a Movie Wolverine figure (and some random head) that I dressed in fabric (using glue) and then painted.

I just love this guy - He's (a bit) old, with long blond hair, a beard, glasses, his whole body tattooed with crucifixes, and of course he's got a trench coat.
I used ML5 Mr. Fantastic as a base, though mine didn't have his "normal" right arm, just one of those enormous ones, so I gave him Transforming Human Torch's right normal hand. I made the beard and ponytail with sculpey and for the glasses; I took a lollipop stick, cut off two thin slices and used glue to put them together. The coat is from Gambit.
I love this figure! It's my best one yet :)

![[Hannibal King] Hannibal King is one of the core members of the Midnight Sons, as he is both one of "the nine" and one of the ones to pledge their devotion to "bring light into the darkness" and get the Midnight Sons Dagger insignia burnt into his arm. (The only others of 'the nine' to do this were Blade, Blaze and Morbius), so naturally I wanted a Hannibal figure for my collection.
The only other Hannibal King figure I've seen a picture of is one based on his Blade: Trinity appearance so I had to improvise a recipe.
Based on his classic private detective look rather than his 90s look, I used Professor X's body and Movie Mr. Fantastic's head.
Though, when I had the body in the oven, it became a bit disfigured as you probably can see - the mid-section is a bit skew, but all things considered, I think it turned out okay, better than I had feared it would at least!
How come my figures look better when they wear coats so you can't see as much of their bodies? :)](userimages/customs/2000/1556-1.jpg) Hannibal King | ![[Jinx] Jinx was the grandson of Louise Hastings from the Darkhold Redeemers, and when his mother died, he came and joined the group and later became the apprentice of Modred the Mystic.
I used Civilian Logan's body and Prof X's head. I just sculpted the hair and changed his nose a bit so it wouldn't look too much like Professor X.
The paint is kind of sloppy, I know, as I suck at painting.
I would have wanted him to wear a baseball cap, but I didn't know how to make one that would look good.
***UPDATE OCTOBER 2007***
I wasn't completley satisfied with my Jinx custom. I liked the recipe and all, but the execution was pretty bland to say the least.
So I removed most of the original paint, modified his torso some, sculpted a cap and then repainted the figure.

![[Morbius, the Living Vampire] Morbius is probably my favorite Marvel character and I didn't think the figure from the Spider-Man line was a great representation of him, so when I saw raymond658's Morbius on this site, I thought it was really smart to use Black Panther as a base, and I just took down my Black Panther from the shelf and started remaking him into Morbius.
I sculpted the face and gave him Storm's hair. The coat is from Punisher.
The look was inspired by his appearance in Doctor Strange in the early 90s, with the big hair and as you see, I highlighted the suit and hair with blue, which is much more visible on this picture than it is on the actual figure.

Later he fought them again, and in his last appearance, Doctor Strange sent him to Thailand, and he hasn't been seen since.
He is one of my favorite characters. He's awesome.
For his body, I used box-set Mr. Fantastic. It's a really great body that I'd like to use for several more figures. The head is box-set Green Goblin's, and the ponytail comes from Omega Red. So, after sculpting the hair, I just painted him and gave him Blade's coat. It was an easy custom and I'm really proud of it!

![[Caretaker] Caretaker was an important character in "Ghost Rider" during the Midnight Sons era, as he was Ghost Rider's, Blaze's and Vengeance's mentor and guide to their past.
I always loved him, because he was a cool old man who spit all the time and hit people with his shovel.
I had a couple of wrestling -figures that I thought I might as well use for something, and since Caretaker needed to be made, that's what I did.
I sculpted the shirt and boots, and luckily, one of the wrestlers had a vest that I cut off for appropriate length and painted green.
The thing I couldn't get right was the combination of head, hair and hat (the hat is from the Thing), and I'm not too proud of the finished result.

I had a Spider-Man I didn't know what to do with, and for some reason it reminded me of Mr. Termineus, a strange villain in the '97 Man-Thing series.
The series was canceled and Mr. Termineus hasn't been seen since.
So, I took the Spider-Man figure, I made his arms and legs longer and sculpted the suit and face.
It came out okay, and since it's such a pain painting the suit, I never finished it, but I probably will sometime when I have nothing better to do.

Rintrah was Doctor Strange's disciple during the late 80s and early 90s, but he was fried to a crisp and Strange placed him in a suspended state in another dimension for the day he'd be able to revive him (which still hasn't happened, at least not "on screen"), so he wasn't around when the Midnight Sons formed, but he most probably would have been a member, had he still been around.
I wanted to use a Hulk figure, and luckily, I got a green 1st Appearance Hulk in a ML figure lot I bought, that I could use (It should be noted that I live in Sweden and can't buy Marvel Legends in stores, therefore I have limited availability of figures and material to use for customs)
Anyways, I bought a dremel, and dremeled off his pants :) and then I used sculpey to make body hair, the cloves and the head.
