Viktor:
Being a long-time collector I still had the pre-Marvel Legends Darkstalkers from Toybiz. I started with cutting off Viktors head because it had his brain popping up out the top of his head like the video-game. Filled with Aves apoxie putty around the neck pin of the Birdie torso. Used Birdie's arms too but ACETONED/ stripped off all the factory paint. Sculpted the sleeve on his right arm. Took the jacket from the Toybiz figure, I also cut off the feet and hallowed them out, then used some leg joint pins from Marvel Legends Abomination left-overs and took some Jakks Pacific wrestler pant legs. Connected the feet to the legs, sculpted his stitches over shoulder, down torso and around left arm. Primered, hand-painted and airbrushed. Still needs a few touch ups and highlites like his chest and face are with thi](userimages/customs/23000/22975-1.jpg) Darkstalkers B.B. Hood and Viktor! Unlike most of the stuff I do, this one wasn't sitting on my desk for weeks/months waiting to be finished, however, I did intend to make him months ago when I found a DC Kong figure in a bargain bin for 5 bucks but had no idea how to proceed. A few days ago, I saw something in my parts bin that gave me an idea on how to make this guy, so here's the build breakdown:
Head: Helmet from a Megaman Mettaur, cut, grafted, and heavy sculpt work done for the face, fangs and fur.
Body: DC Kong, one finger cut off of each hand; shaved down and sculpted at crotch
Feet: Sota E. Honda, drilled for new joints from DC Toyman, sculpt for cuffs around ankles.
That's it! Pretty simple stuff for what started off as a head-scratcher; the paint job was the easiest part for a change with the exception of the gums and the 'gloss' on the eyes. I think he looks pretty neat/cute, and I hope you all like him too! With that, custom no.52, Anakaris, finally sees the light of day! Here's how the build breaks down:
Head: Sota Guile + fodder and sarcophagus headdress cut from an MS Moonknight accessory and LOTS of sculpt
Body: ML Hulk w/skirting from Sota E. Honda, foam and sculpt for chest, hands, waist, and bracers
It all sounds simple, but this was actually one of the more challenging projects I've tackled. The paint job was fairly straight forward for a change and everything was done free-hand. I'm really happy that he is finally done, I only wish I didn't have to make a second one now for my MvC2 set, lol! Well, I hope you all like him, and I'll be back soon with more, albeit some easier ones.

![[Victor Von Gerdenheim] I've been working on this one for a while because I was a little stumped on how to finish, but I finally got custom no.51, Victor Von Gerdenheim done for the Darkstalkers set. Here's the build's breakdown:
Head: Sota E. Honda, dremeled down with fodder for hair.
Upper Body: Sota Zangeif w/coat from Sota Birdie and binder plastic for the coat sleeve
Arms & Hands: Sota Zangeif and ML Hulk hands w/sculpt
Legs & Feet: ML Hulk w/LOTS of sculpt (shoes and belt w/fodder for buckle)
After an extensive paint job w/ a few custom blends, and a great deal of hassle on that sleeve, he was all done! I hope you all like him, and I'll do my best to get more figures out more often. Thanks for looking everyone!

I actually had him done right after Pyron technically, but I wasn't happy with the first and eventually second head(s) that I had chosen until I came upon this CvsSNK2 Haomaru head in my parts bin and thought, "Perfect!" There's not much to tell as far as a parts breakdown, but here it is anyway:
Head CvsSNK2 Haomaru w/sculpt for the hair and dremmeling, cut and re-pegged neck line
Body: DC Batman
Cape and clothing accents: DC Batman cape with its trimmings for the overcoat tails (back and front), epoxy for the shirt, collar, ruffles and cuffs, and an ascot from a DC Gentleman Ghost. The studs along the sides of the pant legs are beads cut in with epoxy.

![[Rikuo] Time for darkstalkers figure no. 5 and custom no. 48, rikuo the merman prince. He was fun to do and I needed to get creative to put him together. Here's the recipe breakdown in a nutshell:
head: mgs2 raiden w/ sculpt and fodder, horns cut from a wraal helmet for the side fins, and a piece of dcuc batman cape for the back fin
upper body: sota ken w/ sculpt
arms: (biceps) sota dhalsim (forearms + hands) hellboy abe w/ lcbh savage dragon head fins
lower body: (upper) lcbh anne o'brien (lower) hellboy abe w/ sculpt
I had to do a fair amount of cutting to the head, as well as notching the back of it like a slat for the fin, fusing the upper and lower halves of the figure as well as the leg and arm joints, required a decent amount of cutting and re-shaping. The paint job was actually quite enjoyable this time around, and I'm really liking the switch from tamiya to vallejo paints; I feel it makes a big difference overall. Truth be told, a year ago, I started using this base for a totally different project (will be done shortly) that I scraped and started again with a new recipe. At that point, this figure was pretty mangled and I wasn't sure if I would have to consider it a write-off or not until I decided to start doing a darkstalkers line. I'm really having fun doing these slightly more super-natural characters, and I love their vibrant color pallets; it is a real treat to be working on these characters! I'm really getting into these Darkstalkers customs, especially since I got the Graphic File and Sota canned the line, so I felt it fitting to follow up an easy one (Pyron) with a tough one. Some of the parts that went into this...well, let's just say that I had a hard time imagining how I was going to finish this figure, lol. Here's the breakdown (it's extensive):
Head: (believe it or not...) Sota Adon, hollowed out, a little sculpt, and hair added on with bang piece from Sota Cammy. I also cut at the teeth to be able to open the mouth for the removable tongue.
Upper Body: Sota Dhalsim, cut and filed, with sculpt added for spinal bones and the area around the protruding ribs; I used the spikes from a Ghost Rider for those
Arms: Sota Ken with sculpt and wood skewers for the bone protrusions
Hands: Cut and pegged from a Toybiz Venom with sculpt and pegs cut from a lollipop stick

While it's not quite done yet, I thought, "I love Darkstalkers, why not do the whole cast!?" So, I started building Dimitri, Donovan, lord Raptor, the 'already-on-the-go' Bishamon, and the Anakaris that I had in the works for my MvC2 set, and last night, while digging through my figure and parts drawers, I found what I feel to be a perfect base for Pyron, and here he is, custom no. 43!
The recipe is super simple:
Head: Marvel Select Moonknight w/lollipop and toothpicks for the horns
Body: DC Despero w/ flames from CvSNK2 Iori and Kyo
Cosmo Disruption base:
-Metal rods from whisk X2
-Flames from CvSNK2 Iori
-Hot glue

First off I really wanted to do a Dimitri but could not decide on a base figure, good thing I saw this drawing of him and reminded me of Legendary Superhero Savage Dragon.
