![[Catwoman] Catwoman AKA Selina Kyle - per Frank Miller's Batman: Year One - is a Dominatrix for Hire that decides a career change is in order when she hears about the new vigilante in Gotham City - The Batman! Sister starts doing it for herself in tights, claws and kitty ears! Armed with her whip she starts sticking it to the man where it really hurts - in the wallet! Of course it's not long before her cat-burglarin' draws the attention of Gotham's Dark Knight. Nowadays Catwoman plays many roles in Batman's life as nemesis, friend and lover.
When I saw the beautiful face on the Hush Series Catwoman I knew I would have to make a customout of her with some articulation!

Shang Chi - the Master Of Kung Fu, son of the insidious Fu Manchu - reared by his father to be a living weapon, yadda, yadda, yadda... I loved both the regular Shang Chi MOKF comic and the b&w magazine Deadly Hands of Kung Fu when I was growing up in the 70's.
I had some serious doubts when I was making this custom but upon finishing it a few hours ago they were all dispelled. Some more milestones for me - 1st time painting eyes (not too shabby) and 1st time sculpting hair. All of the red in his costume was spray painted with ColorBond GM Crimson Vinyl Dye. I gotta say it's tough stuff - not totally impervious to rub - but it holds up much better than Acrylic paint. A good trick to using vinyl dye is to disassemble the figure and spray the parts that way - then let them sit for a day and alow the dye cure before trying to reassemble. Vinyl dye is great for base coating. Too bad it doesn't come in a flesh color. ![[Civil War Punisher] Civil War Punisher
There was this lonely XMC Ultimate Sabretooth figure that was floating around the pegs at my local TRU, it was there for weeks. I kept looking at it everytime I'd go in hunting MLs but kept passing it up because I couldn't think of what I'd use it for. Then one cool March day I was scanning the new March for May issue of Marvel Previews and saw the pic for the cover of Punisher War Journal #7 and it hit me like a bolt of lightning. The next day I sped over to TRU fully expecting the Sabretooth to be gone now that I had this epiphay but, as you can see, luck was with me. I'm really happy with the way this Custom turned out but I can always use constructive criticism.
Recipe:
- XMC Ult. Sabretooth, took off head and arms
- Used Apoxie Sculpt to fill in his hyper detailed chest to make it look like he's wearing a shirt
- Head from a very P.O'd JLA Classified Series Aquaman, painted hair black and touched up flesh to match the rest of the figure, used one of the tiny r](userimages/customs/3000/2861-1.jpg) Civil War Punisher Marvel Legendsby Buzzy_FretCivil War Punisher

I always thought the yellow/black/blue for Wolverine's costume was a strange choice. The tan/brown/black I thought was even worse. I'm not sure what color real wolverines are but I'm sure it ain't yellow and blue.
Along with the black and red paint I took my first stab at steel claws. I had to do a bit of a repair job on the right claw covers with some Fixit Sculpt as my Dremel drill poked through the back. I ended up repainting the flesh on his arms as well - Citadel Dwarf Flesh base and then dry brushed Elf Flesh. Overall I'm very happy with the end result. ![[Daredevil Repaint] This DD needed fixin'! Terrible factory colors, boots and gloves were way darker than the rest of him.
Gave DD an undercoat of Citadel Chaos Black and then many coats of Citadel Blood Red. I purposely did fewer coats around his mask as I thought it was pretty cool looking with a little of the black coming through. I thought he looked pretty tough in all black too.
Face is in Tamiya Flat Flesh.
Agonized over how to do the DD insignia for way too long until ratboy suggested Micron pens. Used a simple stencil I bought at Office Max to get a start and roughed in the rest.
Applied Kyle's Symbiote Tendril Tutorial to DD's nunchuks after attaching them with a tie from the box - another idea I "borrowed" from Kyle's DD.

An exercise for me to work on my paint chops. It's a little rough but not too terrible for my 2nd job. The stripes were the toughest part. ![[Batman] Just a repaint but it sure makes him much tougher looking.
Cape, mask, gloves, boots and undies (?) in Citadel Chaos Black - the cape was a pain to paint because of the material. Touched up the bat insignia too.
Exposed face in Tamiya Flat Flesh, eyes in Citadel Skull White.
The gray I darkened up by mixing a little Citadel Black with Citadel Codex Gray.
I decided to leave the belt alone for now.

There are a bunch of non-mainstream Marvel characters from the 70's that I'm a big fan of and the original Deathlok from Astonishing Tales was one of my faves. When I got into collecting the ML figs and I saw that they did a Deathlok I thought; "Cool!". When I got one and saw that they had attached his gun to his chest I thought; "What the..?!" I dug out my original Astonishing Tales with Deathlok and saw that it was indeed wrong. In the comics Deathlok had a flag patch on his chest but it was on his right breast - the ML fig didn't have any flag even though the pic from ToyBiz shows one. My mod does not make him "correct" but I think it looks way better than the figure was.
I simply used an exacto knife to slice the end of the tube attached to his chest as close as possible, hit the area with a ligh](userimages/customs/1500/1338-1.jpg) Deathlok Mod Marvel Legendsby Buzzy_FretMy first submission!
