![[Winter Soldier] Winter Soldier, probably one of the greatest characters created by Marvel in the past five years, was made as a Christmas gift for my friend Bob last year (shows how quick I am to post a figure after making it lol). I started off with a Black Panther body and got rid of all of his limbs except his right arm. I used most of Bulleye's limbs except for the left arm which came from the red skull faceoff figure. The hardest part was to get the cable to stay in his arm; I recommend for anyone else who tries this figure is to carefully dremel into the arm and gorilla glue it in place. Make sure the cable is slightly longer than what you need to give it some working room. The most suitable head I found to use was Punisher. I just gave him a quick shave and set him up with modified hair stolen from an extra Morbius figure from the Spiderman line. Load him up with a small armada of weapons and an amazingly awesome base and he's ready to avenge Cap's death.](userimages/customs/3000/2610-1.jpg) Winter Soldier Marvel Legendsby StEvOtoysWinter Soldier, probably one of the greatest characters created by Marvel in the past five years, was made as a Christmas gift for my friend Bob last ...1 comments | ![[Black Bolt] I made this Black Bolt for a friend to complete his Illuminati team. I started with a base figure of the Captain America from the face-off series which took a lot of snading and sculpting paste to get rid of the scales on his outfit originally. The wings were made from the plastic vinyl sold at walmarts and such, painted silver with black lines for a patterned effect. A change of gloves & boots, a sculpted tuning fork for the forehead, and complete paintjob finishes up the Black Bolt. Now its time to end this Silent War!](userimages/customs/3000/2609-1.jpg) Black Bolt Marvel Legendsby StEvOtoysI made this Black Bolt for a friend to complete his Illuminati team. ![[Cloak] I wanted to create a Cloak figure that gave off a feeling of infinite darkness inside his cloak. Best way I figured was to cut out the body completely. I used Darth Vader's cape from the Unleashed series as that gave off a huge, flowing, menacing look. Added Bishop's bald head, some arms, some legs. I hand-sculpted the hood on his cape and set about painting line after line after line of blue and black on the back. My only issue with this figure is it became very top-heavy and won't stand very well. Maybe I should fix that with either a custom base or some other way to level him out.](userimages/customs/2500/2414-1.jpg) Cloak Marvel Legendsby StEvOtoysI wanted to create a Cloak figure that gave off a feeling of infinite darkness inside his cloak. Recipe was mostly pretty simple:
Nightcrawler's body, except with Wonder Man's hands & wristbands. I then repainted Gambit's head and did some surgery to his energy card accessory for a little "energy effect in Jack's hand. The boots came off a Captain America's FO figure (he's dead now, what does he need the boots for anymore?? just kidding, RIP Cap). As far as "dress" goes, the collar was modified from Iron Fist's collar and the pieces of "skirt" came from a Star Wars Unleashed Anakin figure. All painted with a mix of Citadel and Testor paints except for the extreme detail of black which is half done with a very fine-point sharpie and careful black painting.
