Moondragon was made using the body from a Hasbro Marvel Legends Elektra, the cape from a DC Universe Classics Alan Scott Green Lantern, and the head, forearms, and boots of a Marvel Legends Madame Hydra. Her bust was sculpted onto for comic accuracy, and the entire thing was painted in several flesh tones and topped with my own special mix of green for her outfit. Switched out the forearms and added the boots, and then worked on the head. I had to a lot of sculpting and sanding to smooth out her head, and give her the jewel on her forehead. After painting it, I took some small gold chain mail links and used them as earrings. The cape was then glued in place on her back and shoulders, then removed the gold claps and chain linking the two sides of the cape, and finally I sculpted the folds on her cape straps that attach to her outfit. And that’s that. I haven’t seen too many customs of Ms. Marvel when she was Binary, and I wanted to tackle her since she’s a visually interesting character. The base figure is a Hasbro Marvel Legends Elektra, the head is from a Fantastic Four Classics Human Torch (the one that came with Impossible Man), and the boots are from Marvel Legends Wasp. The body was painted with testors white, and the red on her costume was given a dark metallic look for aesthetic purposes.
The flames circling her biceps and thighs were pieced from a Human Torch and glued on, with hot glue filling in the gaps and then painted. I grafted the boots from Wasp onto the figure and used small screws as pegs so the feet could turn. The head was chosen since it already had a rather feminine face, and was already clear and had fire coming off of it. Still, I sanded down the cheeks to make it seem a tad smaller, and had to m](userimages/customs/41000/40541-1.jpg) Binary (Ms. Marvel) |

Here we have Nightwing in his New 52 design. For this one, I took a DCUC Nighwing and repainted him. I had to go over the blue on his chest and shoulders, and replace it with the modern New 52 red insignia. I also painted his eyes red. Batman’s my favorite superhero ever, so I was thrilled to take this one on. It’s a modern comic style Batman (well modern meaning how he looked right before New 52 anyway) in DC Universe Classics style. This version of Batman had never been done by Mattel like this, except once as an extremely hard to find TRU exclusive. They did one similar in their Walmart exclusive Dynamic Duo 2-pack, but they gave him the Public Enemies belt, which I’m not a fan of.
This custom was made from a Batman from the Fists of Clay 2 pack. Of course that one had painted mud all over him, so I removed it with some acetone, as well as his bat insignia (it had the yellow oval), and painted the modern bat insignia on his chest (sans yellow oval; much better I think), as well as shading his muscles. I also repainted his face since it looked far too tan before, and I painted some gold accents on](userimages/customs/39000/38784-1.jpg) Batman (Modern Comics Style) |

Darth Knight has been using the body from a Dark Knight Movie Masters Batman figure, and the head, lightsaber, chest plate, and other pieces from a Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader action figure.
I transplanted the ears from the Batman head onto the Darth Vader head, and sculpted over them to blend them in with the sculpt of Vader's helmet. He features a paint job that really helps him stand out as his own concept, with silver accents, and other various parts painted in flat and gloss black.
He has extra Darth Vader pieces attached to his belt, his chest plate has been implanted into Batman's torso (and he still retains full ab crunch movement!), and his legs have been sculpted over with rectangular plates.
He also features the classic Darth Vader waist cloak made from a sheet of vinyl. I think a lot of Batman fans have been waiting to see what a Joker figure made to look like Cesar Romero from the 1966 Batman television show would look like. Luckily, I was recently asked to make such a figure and couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Sculpting a head to look like an actor’s likeness is no easy feat, but it is certainly always a fun challenge.
The entire figure is the DC Universe Classics Joker figure, from head to toe. The flower has been removed from Joker’s jacket lapel, and his vest lapel has been resculpted to match the style Cesar Romero wore in the TV show. The entire body was painted, wish an almost maroon-like color to match the TV show costume. I even had to hand paint all of the pin stripes as well which also wasn’t easy but worth the effort.
But that was the easy part, compared to the head. The head is in fact the DCUC Joker head, modified. I cut off his jaw, shortened it, and re](userimages/customs/37000/36957-1.jpg) Cesar Romero Joker Batmanby CrimsonVampyreCustom Cesar Romero Joker – Created Feb 11, 2012

Lilandra here was created for a long time customer trying to fill out some spaces in his old Toybiz X-Men collection. She started out as Deathbird, and was sanded down in preparation to be painted. I used the unreleased Hasbro Marvel Legends prototype as my inspiration. First, I reshaped her head crown, and sculpted over it with Aves Apoxie Sculpt. It took a while to get the shape just right but I think I got it down. The body was completely repainted, and the cape comes from a Marvel Legends Black Queen painted entirely and modified to properly fit the Deathbird body.
Her royal staff was completely 100% hand made by me out of sheet polystyrene. I cut the shape out and sanded and carved it down to look just like Lilandra’s staff. I painted it with flat black, then silver, and finally clear yellow for a metallic gold look. All paints used were Testors Model Masters and Tamiya.

The new suit body was much better and proportionate than their last one and perfect for Ra’s Al Ghul. And the fact that the suit was already green helped greatly. The cape is from a DCUC Alan Scott Green Lantern, and the head is a custom resin cast of the DC Direct Hush Ra’s Al Ghul head.
I painted him completely using Testors Model Masters. I painted his gloves and boots black, and painted his whole suit. It was green before, but it was almost a neon green that just wouldn’t work for Ra’s, so I painted over that green with Testors Medium Green. Jocasta has always been a very interesting character, especially since her name ties in with the Oedipus story. Visually I think she’s fascinating; very smooth and shiny. Shiny is always nice, right?
I used the body from a Hasbro Marvel Legends 2 Pack Elektra figure, with the head from a Hasbro ML Maria Hill figure.
To make the head I first had to sand down all of Maria Hill’s hair, smooth it out, and then began sculpting. All of Jocasta’s “hair” is fully sculpted with Aves Apoxie Sculpt (the best 2 part sculpting compound around). Due to the nature of this, I had to sculpt it in layers. That means I sculpted, let it cure fully, and then sculpted on top of that until I was able to finally have her “hair” completed.

I had never done a custom Mighty Mugg before, but given my background in cartooning I thought it would be fun. After all, it’s just like drawing a cartoon only instead of doing it on paper it’s a 3-D object.
The base Mighty Mugg was a Skrull, chosen because of his ears. So I sanded it down, penciled out the design, and painted over it. I tried my best to stick to the basic Mighty Mugg art design, but I couldn’t help adding my own flairs into it. Sub-Zero is one of my favorite Mortal Kombat characters, so I was saddened when I saw that he was easily the weakest of the bunch brought out by Jazwares recently. His paint job was so plain it made him look kinda cheap. So I changed it by giving him a realistic paint job, by giving him dark flesh tone washes on his skin (he really needed it trust me) and dry brushing gray over the black part of his outfit, and dry brushing silver over his armor and dry brushing light blue over his tunic.
I meticulously went over him to make his sculpt pop out as much as possible and was really proud of the results.
After that I took the soul blade that came with the NECA Soul Reaver Raziel figure and modified it to fit over Sub-Zero's hand to act as an ice blast attachment. There is also an extra attachment that travels up his arm and looks really cool. It makes it look like his whole arm is icing up.

Scorpion included the blade that goes on the end of his "Get over here!" chain weapon, but sadly didn't include a chain. So I took a length of small chain and attached it! Now he can throw it at his enemies and even wrap it around their necks and pull them toward him. I also threaded some thin jewelry wire through the length of the entire chain, meaning his chain is fully poseable! It can be positioned into any way or direction that can be thought of.
Next I went about recreating Scorpion's most fatal and famous att](userimages/customs/32500/32156-1.jpg) Scorpion - Mortal Kombat 9 Mortal Kombatby CrimsonVampyreCustom MK9 Scorpion - Created August 21, 2011

![[Raiden - Mortal Kombat 9] Custom MK9 Raiden with Lightning Hand Attachments - Created August 21, 2011
Raiden was made from the new Jazwares 6 inch Mortal Kombat Raiden action figure.
As cool as the figure was, it definitely lacked in the paint job department because there is so much white on the character. I wanted to make it pop a little more.
So I repainted him, making sure to give a dark flesh tone wash on his skin, as well as dry brushing a light blue over his tunic to help it stand out.
I also washed some blue all over the white parts of his outfit (blue always compliments white well) to again help the sculpt pop out more. Then I dry brushed white over that and there you go. Raiden has a much better paint job.
However, my favorite part of this custom are his accessories. I took two lightning blasts from some Movie Dr. Doom figures and modified them to fit Raiden's hands so now he has some awesome lightning attachments to strike down his enemies! It looks awesome when they're pointed at each other and](userimages/customs/32500/32155-1.jpg) Raiden - Mortal Kombat 9 Mortal Kombatby CrimsonVampyreCustom MK9 Raiden with Lightning Hand Attachments - Created August 21, 2011

I never was fully happy with it though, and that was long before I had time to really grow as a customizer. I've since gone back and made another movie Nick Fury, because why not? He's awesome. I used the head from a McFarlane Shaft figure, and the body is the Ultimate Nick Fury from the 2 pack a couple of years ago. The cigar came from the NECA Duke Nukem figure. All paints used were Testors Model Masters and all sculpting was done with Aves Apoxie Sculpt.
The head was dremeled out to fit onto the ball peg on the neck of the Nick Fury body, and the eyepatch was sculpted on (thought about engraving "BMF" on the eyepatch, haha). The cord of the patch was made from black sewing thread that I glued on and sealed over it. This is the same technique I used before and that one has held up perfectly all these years.
Next I reworked his web gear.
