:: Recipes:
x2 ML Flight Stands modded together
x1 "L" bracket (meant to hold Plexiglas panes at an angle)
A card stock sheets with a blank word bubble printed on them, and cut to size/markered edges.
x1 roll of double sided adhesive Velcro (white)
x1 mini-Sharpie marker (for writing dialogue!)
Very easy custom to make, and the options are varied on the style of word box you could do (square/narrator, circular/dialogue, cloud-bubble/thinking, etc.)
I made this as an add-on gift for a commission piece I did last year (pictured below). It recently turned up as the fellows Facebook profile picture, reminding me that this stand needed posting. :)

![[Spider-Man (Magnetic!)] A Spider-Man figure with the ability to cling to anything metal using internal magnets!
:: Recipe:
x1 Spider-Man, unknown series (head, arms)
x1 McFarlane-eyed Spider-Man (torso, shoulders, feet)
x1 DCD Jimmy Olson (Camera accessory)
I disassembled two Spider-Man Marvel Legends/SMC figures, and dremmeled out space for spherical Neonium rare-earth magnets in the upper back (under the spider-logo), pelvis/bottom, and flat puck-style magnets in each of his feet.
Afterward, I reassembled, re-sculpted some areas/seams, and repainted the figure. Any areas where the magnets would cause paint rub (back, bottom, feet) I sealed with Krazy liquid type Superglue. After curing, it was sealed with a matte Vallejo varnish.
Hope you like him!

:: Recipe:
x1 NECA Sylar (head, uppertorso, feet, arms, hands, coat)
x1 Motorcycle Wolverine figure (pelvis, hips, legs, lower torso)
x1 DCUC Superman (left fist)
Aves sculpt, Vallejo acrylic paints/varnish, Citadel washes.
Bothered by the lack of hip or torso articulation (and that ugly headsculpt) that NECA released, I resculpted the figures hair and face (See WiP) to match the actor.
Modified the coat to be open, dremeled out the torso, and created my own articulation using a dense-plastic rod.
Resculpted torso, covered peg holes, and repainted + sealed.
This figure retains a swappable right hand allowing the use of other 'powers' hands from the Heroes NECA figure line.
I currently have him displayed in a custom McFarlane lighted display case with a Heroes 'eclipse' graphic as the backdrop. :) It has a slight spider-fracture in the glass, and looks like Sylar's using his abilities to escape. ;)

Those that 'survived' the battles of magics fifth age will meet their end on the slow lathe of time.
Recipe:
-LOTR Orch Commander figure (rare!) w/ skull hat
-McFarlane military base (modified)
A very straight-forward custom. Years ago, I saw the base figure in an issue of ToyFair, and I loved it's bulky boots and sack-gauntlet look.
I found one on a website (in Australia of all places) and set to carefully carving out the Orcs face from it's helmet. I removed the impaled skull which sat atop of the orcs helmet, and made that the new head.
After affixing it to the body using the Aves/baby power trick (to retain posability), I sanded down all problem areas, base coated and repainted the figure with Vallejo acrylics. All the washes are combinations of Citadel Flesh and Sepia washes. Sealed using Vallejo matte finish varnish.
I hope you like him. :)](userimages/customs/20500/20023-1.jpg) Undead Footsoldier Zombiesby blaynescottResurrected during arcane battles long forgotten, these dessicated remains have long outlived their original purpose. Those that 'survived' the battle...5 comments |
