![[Black Adam] This is one of those characters I've wanted to make for a while. Never really cared for the Marvel Family all that much, but always did kinda like Black Adam. Thought he had huge potential to be a powerhouse villain leading up a big DC event. But, he ended up being changed into an antihero. Just too many villains becoming heroes these days. Well, luckily, the New 52 seems to be taking him back to his villain roots. But, I wanted to go back and make his classic look. Had some issues keeping the bolt on his chest straight, but it finally lined up. Gold definitely looks better than the yellow I started with. A bit of dullcote over it to level out the colors, and there we have it. That Namor head truly is perfect. I do believe this design has been used before too. Iron Will, I believe. At first I was impressed with how far she had come since her initial creation for the show Spiderman and his Amazing Friends. Following the show, she failed to make really any impact whatsoever until she joined the New Warriors. After that she was elevated to the Avengers, along with Justice. I believe that's about when this uniform made it's appearance. I liked the image and upon realizing those tiny Cyclops lower legs fit perfectly on the female legs, I knew she was to become a project of mine. I glued the Baroness glasses to her face, then cut them down so the hair would still fit in place, but made the glasses still look whole. Once I finally picked up a new yellow, this project became much easier, the lines only taking one coat and one touchup to apply. And that was truly the hardest portion of this figure. ![[Daimon Hellstrom] This is a guy I have procrastinated about for a long time. Not just about making him, but which costume to go with. However, I was recently asked to make him in 6" form, so I decided to take the requested outfit and make it in this scale, as well. It definitely made things a lot simpler in the design department. A little sanding, then actually sculpting up a full belt (studs and all) and the rest was a simple repaint. The chains were glued on, then painted over, and repainted with steel to help give it some added security. The pentagram on his chest was difficult, but some very careful fleshtone touchups evened out the lines and straightened it out perfectly. He just looks very villain-like to me. So, I put aside the Daredevil head I was planning on using and went for the more sinister Bullseye. Of course, Bullseye's body was also all I had on hand, so I proceeded into that painstaking task of trying to apply white to a black base. Surprisingly, it went a bit smoother than some of my other endeavors with white. Some sculpt over the face, and then the red lines on his chest and he was all finished up. At that point, I finally got a chance to do some reading on him. Not only is he a superhero, but he's also a mutant. And British. And registered. He has the power to increase or decrease his size, which explains his name. He worked for the British government for a while, teaming up with Excalibur quite a few times in the process. Electro then shows up, complaining about his treatment in a recent issue, Adam Austin disappears, then reappears as the Masked Marvel and does away with the villain. A comic for the character is immediately commissioned, and subsequently appears at the back of an X-Men comic. He served as a gateway for Marvel writers to connect with their characters. Such as Reed Richards mailing gadgets to the Marvel Editors for upcoming comics. He was, however, introduced into the standard continuity during Civil War. I actually didn't know a lot about this guy either. I picked up the head by mistake and decided to go ahead and give him a shot. Apparently, those lives regenerate too, so unless he's killed 9 times in quick succession, he's even harder to kill. All of this was brought to my attention this past week, and I decided it was the perfect project to follow my Grey She-Hulk with. It may have been a concept micro, or maybe searching for Hawkeye in this exact look is just difficult, but I liked it and wanted to try it. Also been wanting to do a different looking Hawkeye for a while now. One of my favorite characters and I didn't have any variation of him under my belt. I found that quite unacceptable. The concept was simple, but assembling him was a matter of various pieces from various figures to put him together. Like a Steve Rogers head on a Cyclops body because no other was available. I liked the look there, and I liked the look in the game, so I decided to give it a shot. But, instead of going for a more worn, shredded look, I decided to stick with the clean rendition the game had. And with the final product I still think it's a perfect look for Doom. I did some image searches and ended up settling on Cottonmouth to make. I thought he would be a good option. And challenging. For some reason, the purple was really resisting, and the yellow refused to make a straight line. Granted, she still hasn't become a major player or gotten involved in any of Hulk's storylines like every other gamma powered character, but still. She pops up here and there, and I think they could do more with a character who's power is absorbed the powers of other gamma characters. So, she could potentially be as strong as the Hulk, or as smart as the Leader. She had a lot of different designs in every appearance, so I pretty much just found one good picture and went with it.
