The trousers were already on so I just painted them from the original black that they was to a light sandy color. The green shirt I made myself, the gloves were already on which were black-I painted them yellow using acrylics. I wasn't sure at first which way to go with this one, I didn't want to do the iconic ending scene has it wasn't suitable to put on here, so I went for the scene where angela is sitting by herself watching the other kids swimming, anyway I took another wooden mannequin used putty to do the hands and feet. I took the original head off, and sculpted a completely new head with putty, the yellow shirt I made myself and the blue shorts were off something else I just added the white stripes. The sign is not in the film but I just added it which slot into small blocks of wood, the seat is just two pieces of soft board glued together which is held in place by putty to a plastic rectangular bottle as the stump . Again I used soft board for the base which I decorated with bits of green foliage and I wanted to put sand on the base so I used some yellow grass foliage.](userimages/customs/28500/28075-1.jpg) Angela Baker V.1 Sleepaway Campby j-xOne of my favorite movies of the 80s, sleepaway camp aka nightmare vacation. ![[Jason Voorhees: the Final Chapter Repaint] This is just a simple repaint of the 12" sideshow Jason.the shirt I took off and used on my custom part 3 Jason, then I made a completely new shirt for part 4 using darker material cos in the film its mostly raining which gives the light green shirt a darker look, and the trousers I just dirted them up a little. I repainted the mask also, and given it a worn look. As with all my 12" Jasons I've give the masks a new paint job to make them look more screen accurate as when I got mine they were white hockey masks,as any Jason fan would know that his mask has that slight Ochre/yellow tinge to it.](userimages/customs/28000/27945-1.jpg) Jason Voorhees: the Final Chapter Repaint Friday the 13thby j-xThis is just a simple repaint of the 12" sideshow Jason.the shirt I took off and used on my custom part 3 Jason, then I made a completely new shi...0 comments | ![[Master Splinter] Picked up some cheap figures at a car-boot sale, and decided to use this one as a master splinter movie style. This figure was about 11 inches but I managed to shorten it down an inch an was thin so I decided to use hair off an old deteriorated mask which was ginger in color an I darkened it a little using dye, I covered the legs, tops of the hands, upper chest and re-sculpted the head using putty, then covering it with hair. The whiskers I got off an old hair brush,-I put tiny pin holes into the putty then putting the whiskers in and using glue to secure them. The rags were easy to stitch together, I just added a bit of grayish paint to make them look dirty and padded them out just a little. The tail was a bendy straw which I shortened then secured to the back of the figure by drilling a hole in the back then using glue. The splinter cane, I don't know what this was, it just looked suitable for splinter.](userimages/customs/28000/27944-1.jpg) Master Splinter |
![[Jason Voorhees] I had all the other Jason's including the Roy Burns and part 8 Jason which I had to customize, but the only one I did not have was the original part 3 which I missed out on, years went by so I decided to do my own. I took the shirt off the TCM figure, kept the trousers, and painted them a lighter grey. the boots were bulky, so I swapped them for the boots on my Jason goes to hell which suits him better. the rings I had to sand down, I took the hair off and re-sculpted the face using putty. I got the shirt off my part 4 Jason and made a completely new one for that which I'd darkened to make it look more like it did in part 4. Now with the light green shirt, I put on my new figure and padded it out a little on the upper back part to give it that slight hunch-back like in the film. the mask I made out of putty but it seemed a little too big so I swapped it for the mask on the MEZCO 9" exaggerated Jason and put mine on which suited that better too. I'm not sure which base I used for this one as I made this a while back but again I stitched the clothing myself, which consist of brown overalls, a long dark blue jacket with the woolen linen showing and a hooded top, but I wanted him to look all grubby and filthy so after I made the clothes, I used sandpaper to wear the fabric down a little. The head was sculpted in putty, it was going to be a full mask but I decided to show the one side like in the movie.I took a small snippet of hair off a mask to put under the myers mask and just a bit by the part of the mask thats been ripped off. I painted the blood splatters on, the knife was made using plastic which was glued to cardboard. The bag was sewn together the boots I got from my collection of spare accessories and the base was repainted. ![[Pennywise the Clown] Here is my Pennywise custom from the movie IT. -I took a basic figure, re-sculpted the head using miliput, then I stitched together the baggy clown trousers which come up to the figures chest, which I secured them too using glue. then I stitched some green fabric together and painted on the purple stripes cos I could not find any green and purple striped material. made the little jacket out of leather, the orange pom-poms were cotton wool dab in a bit of paper glue which were painted orange. the hardest part was doing the frilly bits around the neck which were three separate layers of material. the boots were done using putty. originally, the idea was to use water balloons but then I got the idea to use four christmas bulbs which I plucked off some decoration which I then glued to some wire. the base is a simple piece of softwood which I glued some foliage onto.](userimages/customs/28000/27661-1.jpg) Pennywise the Clown Movie Maniacsby j-xHere is my Pennywise custom from the movie IT. -I took a basic figure, re-sculpted the head using miliput, then I stitched together the baggy clown tr...6 comments | ![[Megazord] Wanted one of these megazords back in the days but never got round to owning one especially the green ranger and dragonzord. I had a lot of free time on my hands so I decided to make one, okay so I have not really used any base for this has I have made the biggest majority of it out of wood. The head was made out of putty which I bored a hole at the bottom so that I could connect it with the base to have some sort of movement. The arms were made up of a combine of action man arms cut off at the end then fitted into wood which I then connected to the body with a screw and bolt. The sword is made from two pieces of card covered in a sticky foil covering, the red ranger is the mini ash from mcfarlanes first army of darkness figure which I sanded down and re-painted. The legs are made from wood but they are fixed to a base. I might decide at a later date to make the legs move-able somehow. ![[Predator] This was actually my very first custom I started way back in 2007, this predator is not actually based on any of the films in particular, but a mixture. I took an action man and re-sculpted the face, the dreads I used small plug wire, stripped the insides out and replaced with a bendy wire. The armour and battle wear I made out of leather and added layers on using super glue, the netting I got from what they sell the oranges in-, I painted the netting black but it all rubbed off so I left it that way, the feet, I cut the ends off and used a master splinter figure which I also cut the ends off and joined them. I used putty to re-sculpt the face, cut the lower jaw off and made it longer using putty and I used hair off an old mask and I started adding that to it. A few days went by and it did not look right because the tiger had small legs compared to the way I wanted the wolf to look so I got the idea to saw the legs off and bore four holes in the side of the tiger and I re-placed the legs with action man arms and legs, two at the front and legs at the back which I then took the action man feet off and built the hind legs up with putty. I painted the hair a grayish color and a tinge of purple to the face cos when I googled awil, some pix made the wolf look grey and others purple. ![[Spike] While watching michael jacksons speed demon music vid one day, I got the strange idea to make the spike character from it but at the time I had no more bases to work on and all I had was spare parts lying around, hands, feet e.T.C.And then I noticed a wooden man what they use for drawing, on my table and I was daring enough to use that, so I shortened the legs a little using a small saw and I used milliput on the head making the head large and stuck to screws in the top of the head and used putty around them for the ears. Next I took the wooden hands off and replaced them with action man hands. The hardest part was sewing the leather jacket together as it was awkward getting the size right, and I gave up for a while and put it aside for a few weeks as I thought that it would not work out, then I came back to it.
