![[X Factor Polaris] I built Polaris onto MU Mystique Body to avoid paint rub. I added MU Psylocke head because I like the hair for this character. Once again I used a Metallic blue for the uniform. The ankle, and wrist belts were from an MU Cyclops, and the belt and collar were hand sculpted. Look for more X Factor members coming soon!](userimages/customs/42500/42360-1.jpg) X Factor Polaris | ![[Havok X-Factor] The head is from MU Multiple Man, and the hands are from MU Steve Rogers, but the rest is all MU Jim Lee Cyclops. The jacket, and hair were sculpted on to the figure with Kneadatite. I did y regular style of paint, but higlighted the blue with a metallic blue paint. I'm going to follow this up with an X-Factor Polaris, and Strong Guy in the next couple of days. Enjoy!](userimages/customs/42500/42283-1.jpg) Havok X-Factor |
![[Viper / Madame Hydra] This is mostly just a repaint of the MU Psylocke figure. The belt comes from a Secret Wars 2 pak MU Storm. The holsters were sculpted from 2 part epoxy. Over all, a very simple but effective recipe. Thanks for having a look.](userimages/customs/42500/42047-1.jpg) Viper / Madame Hydra | ![[Bishop] I used the MU Cyclops body to avoid paint rub in the joints as the base colours were the same. The head is from a Mace Windu figure, however I had to add epoxy to the chin and jaw line to make it more square. All the costume details are sculpted from epoxy, and he got the usual paint job. The gun is a hybrid of three different guns. I wanted a shotgun that looks like it could fire tactical nukes if necessary. Thanks for looking.](userimages/customs/42000/41976-1.jpg) Bishop |
![[J Scott Cambell Gwen Stacy] I used a DG Sydney Savage. The coat is from a Matrix Trinity Figure, heavily modified. I actually ended up cutting the top half of the jacket off as it was too bulky. A lot of sanding n this figure, to remove the old costume elements. The rest was modified with epoxy sculpting. Like the other DG customs I've done, there isn't much articulation, but hopefully the presentation makes up for it. Comments always appreciated.](userimages/customs/42000/41913-1.jpg) J Scott Cambell Gwen Stacy | ![[Jim Lee Cyclops] I just sculpted the Jim Lee style costume on top of a ML Cyclops figure. This was a pretty straight forward character, but I'm happy with the way it came out. The paint job brought it all together. Hard to believe this figure doesn't already exist.](userimages/customs/42000/41912-1.jpg) Jim Lee Cyclops |
![[Green Arrow] My son wanted a Green Arrow figure to complete his Justice League, from the WB show 'The Batman'. Starting with a Bruce Wayne figure from the series, I basically sculpted the entire costume. Even the quiver on his back was cut from styrene and folded to make the shape. Epoxy was used over the styrene. I still haven't found the right bow for him. My son is using a Legolas Bow for the time being, but I would like to get something better eventually. Either way he doesn't notice the difference. Hope you like the pictures. Its kind of outside my normal style.](userimages/customs/42000/41909-1.jpg) Green Arrow | ![[Ares] This is a heavely modified MU Gladiator. I think the entire character is covered in epoxy sculpt. I even made his muscles larger to fit with my image of the character. I customized the head, including the face. I wanted lots of emotion in his expression. Hope you like it! Comments welcome.](userimages/customs/42000/41899-1.jpg) Ares |
![[Joker ( the Laughing Bat )] This was a custom I did for my son. He's 5, and loves The WB series 'The Batman'. This figure is inspired by an episode where Joker tries to become Batman. The recipe is;
Head - Joker
Cape,Torso and Arms - Batman
Legs and lower body - Joker
The cowl and folds are made from 2 part epoxy.
Hope you enjoy it, thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/42000/41898-1.jpg) Joker ( the Laughing Bat ) | ![[Grim Reaper / Eric Williams] I started with an MU Comic Pk Bullseye. I cut the blade, and head 'thingys' out of an old gift card. The pole holding the blade on his arm is a nail. After I cut off his hand, I dremeled a hole for the nail in his arm, and then put it in place with the 2 part epoxy. The metallic cuffs on his legs and arms are sculpted with the epoxy. The cape was originally from a Marvel Showdown Magneto. I had to alter the way the cape looked so that it fit closer to his neck; again with epoxy. Thanks for checking it out, and hope you like it. Comments welcome.](userimages/customs/41000/40934-1.jpg) Grim Reaper / Eric Williams |
![[White Queen Emma Frost] The edges of all the clothes are raised with 2 part epoxy to give it some depth. The cape is made from a white vinyl shower curtain, and the fur top is cut from a wash cloth. The hair is a custom sculpt on top of the MU Invisible Woman head. The legs are from the ROC Baroness figure. I sanded the detail off the upper legs. I still would prefer that Hasbro come out with an Emma Frost in her uncanny x-men uniform, but this costume is also very cool. Feedback is always appreciated.](userimages/customs/41000/40794-1.jpg) White Queen Emma Frost | ![[Norman from Mighty Max] This one was an order I just finished. It's got a lot of sculpting, and a lot of very specific colour placement. I'm happy with the way it turned out. Obviously it has a less cartoony feel than the show, but I think it’s a fair interpretation of the character in a more realistic style. A couple of interesting things about the recipe; the chain belt is from a MU Absorbing Man. I heated it in my oven till at low, until the plastic got soft, (2-3 min.) then I took it out, shaped it and let it cool. I still had to poke holes at each end and tie them together with a wire, but it worked quite well. Also, I've been using paint daubs to create the small metal buttons often found on leather armour. Once the drops of paint dry, they can be painted over to create the effect. Thought that might be helpful to someone. Anyway, sorry for the complicated explanation, but this was a very complicated figure. Oh yeah, the sword came from a 6" LOTR Eomer.](userimages/customs/41000/40661-1.jpg) Norman from Mighty Max |
![[Classic Wasp] This is a MU Black Widow from top to bottom. I stripped the hair, sculpted the head, tunic/shoulder pads, and added the wings from a 4" Disney Tinkerbelle figure. I then gave it a repaint and it’s good to go. I based it on a really cool collectible statue that I saw on the web. Hope you like it, and thanks for any feedback, positive or otherwise.](userimages/customs/41000/40660-1.jpg) Classic Wasp | ![[Uncanny X Men Cyclops] The body is that of MU Bullseye. The unmasked Cyclops head is from MU Steve Rogers with sculpted sunglasses and folded mask. The masked Cyclops head is from the MU Daredevil, from the same greatest battles pack as the Bullseye body. The visor, arm, and leg cuffs are also sculpted from two part epoxy. The lines were the hardest part of the paint job. Otherwise, the black base was already set for me, and no paint rub as the joints are all black. I almost didn't post this on ebay as I really like how it turned out. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/40500/40400-1.jpg) Uncanny X Men Cyclops |
![[90s Rogue] This is entirely Kitty Pryde, with MU Secret Wars Storm vest, and hands. The boots, sleeves and hair modifications are epoxy sculpt. This one of my most anticipated figures for the MU line. I'm surprised they haven't run it yet. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy!](userimages/customs/40500/40329-1.jpg) 90s Rogue | ![[Black Cat] This is a MU Black Widow base with the hair of MU Firestar. The 'fur' on the arms, legs, and chest are sculpted from 2 part epoxy. A paint job later, and we have one of the friendly neighbourhood spider-man's most trusted allies. Thoughts or comments on recipe or technique would be much appreciated.](userimages/customs/40500/40148-1.jpg) Black Cat |
![[Mary Jane 2.0] A few changes in the recipe; The body is that of DG Abbey Chase, the head is from DG Sydney Savage. The jeans, and shirt are sculpted out of 2 part epoxy. A complete repaint, and once again we have a J Scott Campbell style Mary Jane Watson!](userimages/customs/40500/40136-1.jpg) Mary Jane 2.0 | ![[Beast] I covered the entire body in a layer of 2 part epoxy to create a fur texture. I got the claw like hands from a MU Black Panther. The head is from a MU Jim Lee Wolverine, and the face was modified with the 2 part epoxy as well. The feet are from XOW Weapon X Wolverine. Feedback is always appreciated.](userimages/customs/40500/40100-1.jpg) Beast |
![[Bishop 2.0] I shaved off Gladiator's mohawk. Did some sculpting on the face. Added bandana, belt and cloth folds in his costume with 2 part epoxy. A quick paint job later, and we have X-men's Bishop! I went with the alternative bald look because although I grew up with his long hair look, it reminds me of Dog the bounty hunter now. Comments and criticisms welcome.](userimages/customs/40500/40013-1.jpg) Bishop 2.0 | ![[Baron Helmut Zemo] The entire figure is an MU Bullseye, except for the head which came from MU Patriot. The boots, shoulders, and sleeves were created with 2 part epoxy. The belt is from MU Sentry. The paint job was pretty straight forward. The only thing I was a little worried about was the lines, but they came out quite clean in the end. All in all I really like the way it came out. Hail Hydra! Comments welcome as always.](userimages/customs/40000/39847-1.jpg) Baron Helmut Zemo |
![[Viper ( Madame Hydra)] This a repaint of the MU Psylocke. I just added the belts and holsters. I think the MU series should have more of the Hydra command for Cap. to kick butt with, and Viper's a must!](userimages/customs/40000/39777-1.jpg) Viper ( Madame Hydra) | ![[Forge 2.0] This isn't a new recipe, but it's a good one, and I just hoped to do it justice. Body is MU woverine; Head from Dr. Strange, ( very versitile head.). bandolier from A.I.M. soldier; boot frills cut from vinyl; and headband from 2 part epoxy and psylocke belt. I tried to keep as much of the factory paint job as possible. Great for any Jim Lee style X-men team.](userimages/customs/40000/39776-1.jpg) Forge 2.0 |
![[Gwen Stacy] The sleeves and skirt were created using 2 part epoxy. The jacket was taken from a DC Black Canary figure and lengthened with two part epoxy. I carved the head band out of the hair, and repainted the whole figure. It would be nice if Hasbro could do more supporting cast members like this; I'd love to see official figures for characters like J. J. Jameson, Aunt May, or, ofcourse, Gwen Stacy.
Revision 06/06/2012: Repainted the face and added highlights to her hair. I just wasn't completely satisfied with it before.](userimages/customs/40000/39694-1.jpg) Gwen Stacy | ![[Black Tom] The body is from a MU Dr.Strange. I added different hands from my fodder, and a cape collar from a MU Gladiator. His 'Stick', is from a popsicle stick, and the head is from a SW Bail Organa fig. with added beard and hair. Comments welcome as always.](userimages/customs/40000/39604-1.jpg) Black Tom |
![[Hawkgirl] The head and belt are all 2 part epoxy, but it's mostly a repaint. The wings are from a schliech PVC figure, I used tiny screws I took from GI Joe figures, ( inner thigh,)to fasten the wings on. The mace is also epoxy sculpted. The button on the mace and forearms are paint dabs allowed to dry. This figure was crazy hard, mostly in concept stage, but I like the result. Let me know what you think!](userimages/customs/40000/39600-1.jpg) Hawkgirl | ![[Forge] This isn't a new recipe, but it's a good one, and I just hoped to do it justice. ![[Emma Frost] In keeping with my theme of J.Scott Campbell girls, I've done a J.Scott Campbell style Emma Frost. The head, torso, shoulders and upper thighs are from the the Macfarlane Natalia Kassel figure. The lower arms and legs are from the Sydney Savage figure of the same line. I had to chop the arms, and legs up and put them back together, as there were no joints to exploit. The coursette and bottoms were sculpted with epoxy. Let me know what you think! Thanks.](userimages/customs/40000/39534-1.jpg) Emma Frost | ![[Pixie] MU Kitty Pryde base figure. Hair, shin gaurds, knee pads, forearms, and belt are sculpted from two part epoxy. The wings are from a disney fairies tinker bell figure. Painted the whole thing, and you get the young x-men pixie. feedback welcome.](userimages/customs/39500/39181-1.jpg) Pixie |
![[Mary Jane Watson] I love J.Scott Campbell's Spider man covers, and espescially his depiction of Mary Jane Watson. I was browsing ebay one day when this idea struck me. I could create J.Scott Campbell style characters using Danger Girl Bases. I odered a set, and now I have my first custom. I love the way this figure came out. The only down side is the articulation count, but that's how mcfarlane makes, and we all still love their figures. Despite the lack of articulation, I still think she'll look great next to a Marvel Legends Spider Man. Let me know what you think!](userimages/customs/39500/39084-1.jpg) Mary Jane Watson | ![[Emma Frost] This a generic MU female body with MU Kitty Pryde head and ROC Baroness hair. The feet are also from an ROC Baroness. The belt buckle is 2 part epoxy, and the cape is fashioned from a white vinyl shower curtain. The cape is securely fastened at a single point, in the chest, with a small nail. This means her arms are not hindered by the unique style of cape. I'm quite happy with the figure; it was a lot of trial and error, especially with the cape.](userimages/customs/39000/38734-1.jpg) Emma Frost |
