![[Shockwave] What's Transformers without Shockwave I ask you? He's like the jelly to a PB&J, the bottle cap to a beer, you know what I'm saying right? Though we saw Soundwave in the Revenge of the Fallen we didn't get ol' camera-eye. I aimed to fix that! Shockwave was created using a Swindle head, Soundwave upper body, and Protoform Starscream lower body. Soundwave's legs became the arms and I removed the fish-fin panels, also moving the main satellite spear. His hand and gun were various fodder parts and I added wires and hoses inside of his arms.
Shockwave's paint job took me hours of non-stop shading, weathering, use of every metallic color I had, and mixing together every technique I had to create his look. When it came to the purple I used it sparingly and didn't focus on the wing panels, darkening them to act like a cape behind him. Shockwave transforms into a mini Vector Prime type vehicle similar to Shoundwave's alt mode.](userimages/customs/16000/15817-1.jpg) Shockwave | ![[Shockwave G1 (Shiny)] It's Shockwave, again! But this time he's all airbrushed and shiny. A lot of you wrote in asking for him but done so he'd match your newer Transformers customs that were clean and glossy. Personally I'm a fan of the matte, weathered look with grease drips, splatter, etc. Probably why I love the 'Bayformers' designs so much, they're all gritty and realistic. There's just something about airbrushing that doesn't appeal to me, feels like cheating, not spending hours doing every tiny line and effect with your brush maybe. Shockwave's alt mode is yet again a giant space-laser-death-turret-cannon thing and you can attach the removable weaponry to him in robot mode too. He comes with a suspiciously familiar black arm cannon and two jet-gray missile launchers that peg on him too. Hmmm, wonder where he picked those up?
So this is my first (and possibly last, heh) attempt at a 'shiny' custom that's airbrushed and such. I'm using an old Testors Aztek airbrush with the thin-line tip. Made from a Hulk Transformer Crossover figure with a ShockBlast head and the cannon off of a Movie Bumblebee Figure. Painted him up in a slightly metallic purple for the body and greys for the treads and bits and he is one mean purple Tank. Thanks for looking!

![[Dragon Lord Shockwave] Recipe
Body:Robots in disguise Megatron knockoff from biglots
Head;Radio Shack's Shackwave
Gun: Transformers energon Megatron Shoulder cannon
Well it's been a little bit. Let's see if I remember how to do this. This was a favor for a friend. He wanted a Shockwave as he might appear at the end of Beast Machines. Shockwave started out as a Biglots Knock off of Robots in Disguise Megatron. I took off Megatron's pink arms and dyed them purple. I found the remnets of an old Shackwave I had and claiming his head I Dyed it as well. The gun arm is just an Energon Megatron's shoulder cannon painted purple with testers model paint. I painted his eye red and attached the head and the arms to Megatron's body. This was a pretty simple custom, but I'm really happy with the result. My only complaint was that his head was too big to completly go into his chest, thus making the tail stick out a little.](userimages/customs/11500/11028-1.jpg) Dragon Lord Shockwave Transformersby BrammarleyRecipe

Fortunately I was able to score an Energon one and create a brand new G1 style Shockwave with the purple-pinkish chest and hand. He transforms into a space cannon or cosmic battleship depending on how you fold him. His arms and removable arm cannons came from a Classics Jetfire and the shoulder cannons came from that Walmart Kid Connections transforming playset that's only available during Christmas time. Created from a Shockblast Energon figure, this G1 Shockwave is decked out with multiple weapon arms attached by neodymium magnets. He closely resembles the Action Master Shockeave toy featuring the orange chest and gun hand. G1 mode features a clear gun hand that lights up through the LED power system you plug in. The modern look has the silver gun hand that also lights up at the tip when you plug in the power cord. You can attach the claw-cannon and Gatling cannon, then add the twin shoulder mounted cannons for heavy combat mode. Shockwave's alt mode is a Space Cannon mounted atop a swivel tripod and features a light-up laser array. All the weapons are modular and you can even give Shockwave a gun-head as well. ![[Swindle/Shockwave] Here's an odd TF you won't find in the game or movie. He's my 'Swinwave' design, your basic Swindle customized into a Shockwave clone of some sort. The camera-head bots just screamed 'Shockwave' to me so I had to try it. His head/collar has been modded for better range of articulation and his hands have been replaced by a Front Mission3 hand and Power Rangers Overdrive gun barrel that came from the black rander's accessory. Swinwave is the star of my soon-to-be-released Transformers painting guide too! It features step-by-step instructions and even the sealing step because he's a shiny car. Basically his robot parts were painted black and drybrushed with aluminum, car sections painted with Lich Purple, details with copper and gold, then random decals I had lying around added so he wasn't plain looking. I even found some tiny numbers for the liscense plate!](userimages/customs/4000/3803-1.jpg) Swindle/Shockwave Transformersby Jin SaotomeHere's an odd TF you won't find in the game or movie. It's a great movie with Peter Cushing, and this figure represents one of his Nazi experiments- a member of the elite 'Toten Corps' or 'Dead Corps'. In the film, Peter Cushing plays a Nazi scientist living in exile on a remote South sea island some thirty years after the end of WWII. He has brought his group of undead shock troops with him, to act as his personal guard. However, the 'Toten Corps' soldiers mysteriously refuse to obey his commands any longer, and they become autonamous. They lurk underwater, as they need not breath air. When an unsuspecting group of tourists arrives on the island, the Nazi scientist advises them to leave immediately- but of course, they ignore the warning. Soon they discover the horrors of the Toten Corps, who no longer require weapons to kill; they prefer to kill with their bare hands, and they do so with true Nazi efficiency...
