![[Venom: the Ungodly Awakening!] I call this thing VENOM: THE UNGODLY AWAKENING. I was envisioning a venom coming from the birthing sludge and alien sybmiote pools that was madder than hell and ready to reign terror upon any who stood in its way.
I really didn't know how to describe this monstrosity, but here goes nothing...
I started with my extra Venom the Madness I scored at a toy show back in September. I first broke off the arms and legs and made a rudimentary mold of the heads part(11 heads) and casted 6 of those. I took a wooden base and laid out four of the casts around the base and one cast I broke the heads apart and used them in various places. I also used some plaster rock and hot glue to add some texture. I drilled a few holes in the base and attached some twisty wire with hot glue for symbiote tendrils. Putting Venom together I attached one of the casts of heads onto the top back of the main body. I used apoxie sculpt over wire frame for that. I also attached the arms from the main body to this ca](userimages/customs/34500/34358-1.jpg) Venom: the Ungodly Awakening! Venomby fastfreddieI call this thing VENOM: THE UNGODLY AWAKENING. I call this version Giant-Man because the Thing gave him that name during MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #55, when he had changed into this new costume, although I do like the name Black Goliath better. Used the WWE 12" Bobby Lashley and figured out the head didn't work good, so I remembered STEVID had made one of these a time or two(8 or 9 but who's counting??), so I went to the FR archives vault and seen his recipe for a Chris Jericho head, which works perfectly and is even a close match to the 7.5" one I had made using a Kane head. Anyways, I sculpted the boot cuffs, the gloves (used Hulk hands), filled in joint holes, and sculpted the shirt lines. The laces were thumb tacks and rubber bands. The belt is heavy craft foam. I primed this with grey vinyl paint, then put a base coat of blue plastic paint for the pants and gloves, then a mix of the blue plastic paint and white for the white parts. After seeing gipsy83's really great Eternity, I thought I would go another route and add alot of vibrant colors in this one. I try to make each one of the ones that I have made somewhat different as they should be a one of kind in their own right and none should be compared against the other since they are all unique. I haven't went so far as making a strictly comic version of Eternity yet, with all the asteroids, comets and other heavenly bodies, but I am leaning that way more and more as this on this version I have added more planets adn moons and nebulae.
