![[Steampunk Belle] This was something far out of my comfort zone, and I had no clue what the end result would be.
The idea was to try re-imagine Belle a as Western Steam Punk character! After researching on the web different Steam Punk styles I decided to go with almost a saloon girl style mixed with a Victorian look.
The doll's face was repainted with small red lips, dark eyes, birthmark, and then lashes added.
The hair was then restyled in an up do with a curl hanging down, and the hat is completely made from scratch out of vinyl material, velveteen material, ribbon rose, and cut red feathers with black thumb-less stocking gloves. The dress was one I basically took apart and re-did adding a petticoat and lace. She also has undergarments, a guarder, and real thigh-high stockings, removable choker, with a 3 different color layer lace skirt. The boots were made from material and doll shoes repainted then sewn and real black laces added. After the third issue went to the printers I finally had some more time to finish this 12" figure who'll be a display at the shows I attend. His face was sand papered then his eyes and the mask painted on and sealed. The upper body and gloves were painted black in three shades of black then sealed, the pants are actually hand sewn and then painted with a shiny black and his boots are repainted with boot tops added. The trench coat is also hand sewn from scratch, with ties, and buttons added. Finally his hair which was blonde was cut off and the then painted black around the front and sideburns of his head. I bought a separate wig from the "LIV" doll line that fit his head perfectly. ![[Harley Quinn Bratz] This was a Valentines gift for his wife and he specificly wanted the headdress. First I had to sand her body then cut her hair into ponytails, and add the first coat of paint to her face. Then I painted the rest of the body suit and shoes with two beginning coats before painting the designs on her arms, legs, and torso. The shoes were painted, and some back, and red velveteen material added around the ankles. The hardest part was making the headpiece. First I created a pattern for the two horn thingies, then I sewed together the hood, and cut two holes on either side of the hood. I then put the horns over her ponytails, and sewed them into place and wrapped some black ribbon around the top of her head and sewed it into place. The vinyl hood was finally placed over then glued and sewed. After that I painted one side in several layers of red before sealing it and then added a clear glossy coat on the black side.
