Used a Turnbull-Jonah Hex movie figure for the base. Made a headcast of Rajon Rondo Mcfarlane figure and attached it to the body. Sculpted the rest of the costume. The pistol is from Turnbull. The rifle was made from balsa wood, sanded to shape. Attached a stirring straw to it and sculpted on the hardware. ![[Saint of Killers] The Saint of Killers is the Patron Saint of Murderers and Assassination. His guns always inflict fatal injuries even God and the Devil are not immune to the bullets, as the Saint has killed them both. An unstoppable machine to kill from the pages of Preacher series.
I made this guy using huge body from Unmatched Fury Undertaker, the face is from Saint of Killers DC Direct figure (I like this figure but his head looks so big in a thin body). I resculpted boots and hat, sculpted his shirt and add belt and gun holster from Mcfarlane´s Billy the Kid figure. I also change his hands.
Guns are sculpted from scratch, was a very difficult job.
Do you like the dust effect over his coat? At the end of the contest I will explain how I made it.](userimages/customs/44500/44365-1.jpg) Saint of Killers Westernby javier2099The Saint of Killers is the Patron Saint of Murderers and Assassination. ![[The Lone Ranger and Tonto] Well, my Dad just turned 69 and I wanted to get him something awesome for his birthday, but what do you get a guy that already has everything he wants? I decided to throw down on some custom Lone Ranger and Tonto figures, since we both have a shared love for the property (and Westerns in general). Also, he is an artist and used to draw cartoons of The Lone Ranger for me when I was a little kid, much to my delight. It seemed like magic would spring from his fingertips as he drew, and it was hard for me to fathom how anybody could draw with such speed and accuracy. It just didn't seem possible. Anyway, I am very thankful to my parents for getting me interested in pursuing art, as it has enriched my life tremendously. My Dad was pretty stoked on his gift, and says he will cherish these figures forever. Happy Birthday Pops!

In one notable episode entitled, "The Price," a boy becomes addicted to a hallucinogenic drug similar to LSD called "Spin," and actually overdoses on it and dies at the end of the episode, which was a pretty shocking turn of events for an afternoon cartoon in the dark ages of 1987! Two episodes, set on Earth instead of the planet of New Texas where most of the story takes place, had a distinctly Victorian flair and a steampunk aesthetic, before there even really was such a term. This franchise was a perfect blend of Horror, Sci Fi, and Western elements. To this day I am confused as to why it never really caught on...the only thing I can think of was maybe the timing was weird. ![[Jonah Hex] I always loved the character Jonah Hex, particularly the Michael Fleisher (writer)/Tony DeZuniga(artist)produced Hex of the mid to late 70s/early 80s. Jonah Hex dominated the comic Weird Western Tales up until issue #38, when he moved into his own self titled series in 1977.
I've also been on a vintage GI Joe kick lately, so I decided to blend the two properties together. Jonah Hex has been known to time-travel during his run so it's not impossible to consider that at some undocumented period of his existence he fought alongside the Joes while trapped in the future.
His head is from Deep Six with a re-sculpted visage, which was a pain in the butt at this scale, his torso and arms are from a dremeled down Headman, his belt/skirt/holster are from a 90s era Cobra Commander, his upper legs are from a 90s era Wild Bill, lower legs are from a vintage Hawk (I think), legs were modded to be compatible with each other and the base body, and his pistol and hat are from a RAH Wild Bill. The base figure is a Dusty Trail Toys U.S. Marshall Tombstone figure. I tried as much as possible to make the face look like Kurt Russell. I added some width to the "jowls", a little more to the chin and also a cleft. ![[Outlaw] I recently got RED DEAD REDEMPTION. And since then have gotten into the western them. So wanting to make a figure I bought the new jonah hex figure and went to work. I changed the head for a boondock saint figures and made a bandanna out of some spawn cape. I also made it so the part covering the face can be removed. I then made a rifle sling so he could put guns and other weapons on his back and made a bandoleer with multiple pouches. He also has A hidden pouch for a stockless winchester rifle under his coat and finally I painted his paints. Hope you enjoy.

I was inspired by Glorbes' work in mixed materials and tried to re-create that look. I made a full costume out of fabric and leather and was still able to retain articulation.
Head and Belt: Mcf Toys 'Billy the Kid'
Torso: Quicksilver
Forearms: Jigsaw
Boots: Bullseye
Misc Revolvers
I used my knowledge of the Dark Tower universe and also took some 'artistic' liberties with his look. While unmistakably Western, the Dark Tower universe is not an exact copy of ours, it's more like a shadow of our world that is quickly fading with the sunlight. Therefore; his 'western' look wouldn't be exactly the same as our 1800's western look but close enough to be recognizable. In my opinion anyway. So enjoy and remember.....
