![[Silk Spectre I (Sally Jupiter)] Hello Realmers, long time no see. This is a custom I made time ago but I just had not had the time to post it, actually it was made before the last customs I've posted.
She is Sally Juspeczyk aka Sally Jupiter aka Silk Spectre I from the Minutemen :)
A couple weeks ago DC Comics México released the Alan Moore's classic "WATCHMEN" in TPB format. Although this is a story I read a long time ago, I bought this new edition... and so I remembered this custom I made some time ago.
Here's the recipe:
Body and head: Mattel female WWE action figure.
Tights: Made of fabric.
Dress: fully sculpted with epoxic clay.
Hair: fully sculpted with epoxic clay.
Hope you like it and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!!
Please, have a nice day. :)](userimages/customs/49000/48913-1.jpg) Silk Spectre I (Sally Jupiter) Watchmenby xGARRIKxHello Realmers, long time no see. Most of the custom comedians i seen on the internet were 6 inches, so i decided to do a smaller one. Since the figures i mainly customize are 3¾. Lol the hardest part of this build was the cigar in his mouth. This figure was already small so the cigar had to be tht much smaller.lol but i was pleased wit the end result. The only thing i regret with this build is that i didnt have a spare holster to give him one on each side like he has in the movie. But i comfort myself in thinking that there probably was a time when he was feeling lazy and only wore one and this figure is depicting that one time.lol](userimages/customs/46500/46451-1.jpg) Comedian Watchmenby PlasticSurgen88Here is my custom Comedian figure from the Watchmen. I felt like improving upon my original design for a custom Dr. Manhattan by using, in my opinion, a much better base body. I used the X-Men Origins: Wolverine Iceman figure as the base and painted him in several shades of blue to get the look his skin had in the movie. Really, all this one required was a good paint job and it was pretty good practice for me and I think this is a much better representation of the character than my previous custom.](userimages/customs/36000/35968-1.jpg) Dr. Manhattan, Version 2 Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreCustom Dr. Manhattan V.2 – Created Oct 18, 2011

I didn't even buy it, and I'm a Rorschach FREAK. So I started trying to make one for myself, and some of my earliest (and clumsiest!) customs were in pursuit of a decent Rorschach.
This figure is almost 100% Movie Masters Joker, who just screams Rorschach from inside the package. What is excellent about this base figure is that it is a little bit smaller than regular DCUC/Legends, so he is actually in scale since Rorschach is kind of a half pint. The only major problem is the head sits a little weirdly on the ball, it is too far forward, so I removed the head and dremelled/modded it so it sits and moves more naturally. The fedora is a modded McFarlane Alice Cooper hat, and his trenchcoat was cobbled together with pieces of McFarlane Candyman, Aves Apoxie, foam sheets, and black magic. I started out with a ML punisher base, but found it was too muscular to be Rorschach's body. So I used the base and legs of the ML Fearsome Foes Vulture. I took the hat and trenchcoat from 1st appearence Thing, which I then died browner to make look better. The mask I swewed from stretchy fabric and then painted the inkblot face. I may be finished with my series of 3.75 inch Watchmen figures, but my foray into the world of Watchmen isn't over yet. And with that I bring you a 6 inch custom Movie Walter Kovacs, completely in scale with the DC Direct Movie Watchmen Figures. He was made using an Angel Season 5 Wesley figure from Diamond Select as the body, and the head is from the Toys R' Us exclusive unmasked Rorschach figure.
The first thing I did was work on the head. I had to dremmel down the neck quite extensively and drill a hole up into the head to get it to fit onto the ball peg on the neck of Wesley. I also sculpted in some hair on the back of his head, because there was an indentation in his head from where it was placed on the original figure so it could fit against the coat collar. So I sculpted that in and painted it to match his hair color. Then I dirtied up his face (the original face looked way too clean...and not even any freckles!) by making his 5 o'cl](userimages/customs/15500/15178-1.jpg) Walter Kovacs Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreMovie Walter Kovacs - Created May 21, 2009

For the final installment in my series of 3.75 inch Watchmen figures I give you Niteowl. He was created using an X-Men Origins Wolverine comic book Wolverine as the base, and the cape came from a DCU Crisis Spectre figure.
As I often do, I first worked on the head. The first thing to do with any custom before painting is making sure you have everything prepared - all sanding and sculpting and parts swapping finished. So that's what I did. I started off by cutting off Wolverine's claws, I sanded down the points of his boots, and even did careful sanding to the ears on his cowl to give them more the shape that Niteowl's did in the movie. Then I had to do some heavy sanding removing his shoulder pads and sanding down his shoulders and back in general so the cape wouldn't look clunky when glued on. After that I started sculpting.
The sculpting process began with the head. I sculpted onto his ears to help give them the shape I needed, and I sculpted](userimages/customs/15500/15070-1.jpg) Niteowl Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreMovie Niteowl - Created May 20, 2009

Up next in my series of 3.75 inch Watchmen figures is the so-called smartest man on Earth Adrian Veidt, Ozymandias himself. He was created using a DCU Crisis Dr. Fate as the base with the head from a Mutt Williams Indiana Jones figure.
As I often do, I first worked on the head. It was a little tricky doing this since the DC figures and the Marvel figures have different ways of attaching heads to necks. I had to slice off Mutt's neck with the head attached, drill a hole in it and make it fit onto the peg that Dr. Fate's head once rested. Then I sculpted on Ozymandias' crown he wears and painted it gold, and painted his hair dark brown with a blonde dry-brushing. Then I painted on the domino mask he wears.
After that I dremmeled down Dr. Fate's gigantic gloves and sculpted on the wrist gauntlets that Adrian wears in the movie, and sculpted on his "belt buckle" as well. Then I sculpted on on gauntlet details for the boots as well. Afte](userimages/customs/15500/15069-1.jpg) Ozymandias Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreMovie Ozymandias - Created May 20, 2009

Up next in my series of 3.75 inch Watchmen figures is the only figure in the series that isn't completely painted from head to toe...The Comedian. He was created using an X-Men Origins Wolverine "Strike Mission Wolverine" as the base and for the hands, and the head and arms came from an X-Men Origins Wolverine "Logan" figure.
The first step was swapping out all the parts. The head and arms that came with the Strike Missing Wolverine just wouldn't do. The head was wearing a helmet and the arms were covered in tactical gear, and the Comedian does NOT wear a helmet and he has bare arms. So I used the old boil and pop method to swap out the heads and arms. I kept the original Wolverine's hands since they were gloved and the Comedian wears gloves too. All I did to the hands was cut off Wolverine's claws.
Then I worked on the head. I sanded down his hair points and sideburns and painted on a domino mask and moustache. I even used](userimages/customs/15500/15068-1.jpg) The Comedian Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreMovie Comedian - Created May 19, 2009

Up next in my series of 3.75 inch Watchmen figures is the Silk Spectre. She was made using a DCU Crisis Starfire as the base, and using the head from a Pirates of the Carribean Elizabeth Swan for the head.
My first step in this was removing the hair from the head of Starfire. After that, I had to chop off a LOT of her hair (it went down past her knees) to make it about the same length as Silk Spectre's. Then I sanded down parts of the hair to shape it the way I wanted, and used apoxie to sculpt the details in the hair that were lost after sanding. Then I took Elizabeth Swan's head, and removed her hair and dremmeled down her head to fit into the hair I had. After Painting the hair black, and dry-brushing brown over it, I glued the head into place and sculpted and painted the bangs over her head.
After that I painted the Starfire figure accordingly. All parts of her costume that were yellow I painted with a gloss yellow, and all black was pa](userimages/customs/15500/15067-1.jpg) Silk Spectre Watchmenby CrimsonVampyreMovie Silk Spectre - Created May 19, 2009
