![[Shadowhawk] I've wanted to do an improved take on Shadowhawk for quite some time, as every one of his last three retail figures never quite worked for me. Like a few other customizers here, I used a 10th anniversary McFarlane Toys SH figure for the wonderfully sculpted head, gauntlet/fists, should armor, and belt. For the body, I used a Wal-Mart exclusive Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, which met both my criteria as a base for Shadowhawk. The figure had to be in all black (no joint rub, I wanted the figure to be as poseable as possible), and the figure need to be muscular, but not really bulky, as SH is an agile-gymnast type. This was a fun project to do, as I love the classic Image Comics stuff.](userimages/customs/49500/49004-1.jpg) Shadowhawk Imageby GDXI've wanted to do an improved take on Shadowhawk for quite some time, as every one of his last three retail figures never quite worked for me. I thought the figure was decent, but never really looked great in gold in my opinion. Witchblade not being in her silver/grey armor, and the "censored" look of the retail figure in regard to her outfit, really took away from the figure, so I set out to make her more to my liking. The figure is more or less a repaint of the LCBH Witchblade, with resculpted armored bikini bottoms, and more curvy backside (don't know any less pervy/creepy way to say that, sorry)...the retail figure's was SO flat.](userimages/customs/49000/48894-1.jpg) Witchblade Imageby GDXRecently, I found my Legendary Comic Book Heroes figures in storage, and Witchblade was one of the figures. ![[Jack Staff] I didn't know this character even existed until the Cancelled Figures contest. After that I read his series and ended up really liking him enough to give him some good ole custom loving.
I used a Mr. Fantastic figure for the base and swapped in hands from a Madman figure. Then I built up the neck and mounted on a Union Jack head. At this point I made the flag design on the costume using flat black cord and did a double check on the articulation to ensure that the cord didn't interfere with any of the movement.
Using more of the cord I made his belt and used some fodder bits and a pen tube to make all the parts of the belt. Then using Aves, I sculpted the ribbed boot cuffs and the lacing onto the boots. I forget where the staff came from. I think it's a cut down polearm, but I don't recall.](userimages/customs/47000/46588-1.jpg) Jack Staff Imageby Green SkinI didn't know this character even existed until the Cancelled Figures contest. ![[Invincible] Good day guys! Been a while. Was busy farming fish and other work outside the hobby, but am back with a personal, figure-related mission. To finish all my pending commissions in time for Christmas :D! Let's start with this dude from Image. This is Invincible.... think Spiderman in Superboy's body :D. Made from the following recipe:
Gambit - head
DCUC - fist
Cyke - feet
Bullseye - the rest
Only request from the owner was to make him "feel" like a young dude, so he's a bit shorter than the usual 6" figures too. Usual matte/semi-metallic paintjob combo wrapped him up.

Ever since McFarlane's Wetworks line came out I thought it'd be awesome to have other Wildstorm Universe characters in that scale. The line really captured Whilce Portacio's art style and the 90's Wildstorm look. So while this isn't exactly Jim Lee's Deathblow, it's in the same spirit and displays nicely with the existing Wetworks Dane figure.
This was a good first custom to dive into because it wasn't too complex. The vest and belt were too small so they were cut to size and glued on (along with the signature flowing bandana strings), and the trenchcoat hides any areas they don't cover. Other than that it was a full repaint and I got kind of creative with the color scheme due to the sepia style of the original art. My first instinct was to go with Deathblow's standard all green outfit, but it didn't mesh well with the gray trenchcoat, so I wen](userimages/customs/29500/29274-1.jpg) Deathblow (Issue 6 Cover Art) Imageby rickyrobertsonjrBased on Jim Lee's cover art to Deathblow #6, this is the first custom action figure I've completed, and it's one I've wanted to do for years.
