![[Spidey Showdowns: Morbius] Specifically chose the DC Direct Deadman Glow-in-the-dark version for this custom. Some areas of the face and chest were left unpainted, still having the glow effect, and makes for one creepy vampire. The sculpt work on the body is lithe, almost like undead, but still muscular enough to appear deadly. Cut pieces from tails of toy horses, with apoxie to build up the hair. Replaced the arms from an Abe Sapien (very expressive hands), and resculpted face with a Toybiz Morbius. The partial lower half of Morbius' mouth was sliced off and grafted onto this custom. The material on the mouth is a rubbery substance, allowing for the jaws to open and flash his fangs! Additional sculpt work to secure the red vinyl gliders on the back.
Couldn't really get a decent shot of the glow-in-the-dark light, maybe Spidey will have better luck! Ain't that just like Parker? Even in mortal danger, he's still got to rhyme off a few pics for the Bugle.

Such threats when silent wars in the middle of the night are being fought by those who seek to spill innocent blood, and heroes no less darker than these vile evil oppressors.

This Order has a long history. Not all of it clean. But always on the right side. They do and would always seek to bring light into darkness.
They are the Midnight Sons.
Hey guys, I’m here to present to you my Midnight Sons custom. I decided to make customs of them since I haven’t found any satisfactory factory made figs of them. And having Halloween just around the corner, I figured it'd be ice to post my stuff. So, here we go:

I finished it several weeks ago, but I've had a lot of problems taking pictures lately; my camera died and even with three lamps directed exactly at the figure, the pictures still come out dark and foggy and whatever. So I had to clean the pictures up a lot in Photoshop, adjusting levels, brightness and colors and stuff to make the pictures best represent the figure as it looks IRL.
I made a Blade custom last year (picture below next to WIP picture) but as my customs got better and better, that one just wasn't good enough.
This Blade started out as an update of that custom, but I ended up using none of the same parts.
I decided to go with the "Nightstalkers" outfit again. I'd like to make "Classic Blade" and "Modern Blade" too at some point if I have time and parts...

I decided to go with the look she sported during her first appearances, because it's a cool and pretty mysterious outfit.
I used the torso from an Elektra, the head from Mystiqe and arms and legs from Lady Deathstrike.
I obviously had to modify the arms quite a bit, and sculpt all over them, but it was fun, and I gave her one hand from Prof. X and one from a hobbit.
Sculpted the hat, hair, headscarf, and the chest, and I made the lower part of the dress out of paper.
And it's not a mistake that she doesn't have eyes, she's not supposed to.

Taj was one of the vampire hunters in the original Tomb of Dracula series. He's a big, strong, mute indian man, who's really cool, and what really drew me to him was the fact that I thought he was going to be killed off at any moment, but he survived the series.
Although, years later, in the last couple of issues of Nightstalkers, he reappeared, only to be revealed to be a vampire and he was killed.
It sucked. And since I only make characters that are still alive form my Midnight Sons team, I hadn't planned on making Taj, but then something unexpected happened.
In the new Blade series, in the last issue, something is done to ressurrect ALL vampires Blade has ever killed. At first I thought "that is not cool more than words can say", but then I thought of something, quickly checked in Nightstalkers #18, where it's clear that it is Blade that kills Taj, which means that Taj is back in the Marvel Universe as a vampire.](userimages/customs/6000/5712-1.jpg) Taj Nital Midnight Sons & Friendsby LWesThis is an original take on a favorite character of mine. ![[Gargoyle] Gargoyle is such an awesome and interesting character, and I just had to make him.
This figure has been under production for a reaaaaaaaaaally long time now. It started out with me sculpting the head, that was several months ago and I sent it to Black Arachnis to get a couple of casts, because I planned to make two figures - one for my Midnight Sons and one for a Defenders gang I haven't started making yet, anyways, when I finally got the heads back I started making the figure.
I used the torso and upper arms and crotch from a FO Sabretooth that I got from ratboy a while back. It was perfect.
The Sabretooth legs were too long, so I took a pair of Baron Zemo legs and sculpted all over them.
The feet were originally Spider-Man feet that I also sculpted over and the hands were from ML Angel. And the wings were are from Inhuman Torch, cut down and modified a bit.

The very first custom I did was Jonny Blaze, and since then I made an armored version of the character, but now finally I have my ultimate one, in his regular clothes, executed much better than the first one I made.
I used the upper body of ML Angel and the lower body, hands and head from ML4 Punisher.
Collar from Longshot and coat from Gambit.
I made the long hair with a glue gun, a bit of an experiment, but I really liked it, as it looks good enough, and it wasn't as much hassle as sculpting Frank Drake's hair, for example. It was easy and fun.
I did sculpt lots of strands of hair on top of his head though.
Of course things like sunglasses and a cigarette would be nice to have removable, but that's tought if you want it to look good and not fall off, so I sculpted them and they're not removable.

I used a ML Gambit and sculpted lots of details. I looked at lots of pictures to get everything right on hte outfit and considering it looks a bit different in different pictures, I think I did a good job at at least capturing it.
I used a ML Banshee head, that I also modified a great deal. I tried my best at making his facial features similar to the pcitures but it was hard! It came out better than I had thought though, so I'm very happy with it. I was waiting on a Morbius head sculpt from Deadeye when he offered to do it, but I got tired of waiting and tried sculpting it myself, and I never would have expected it to come out this close to what I was going for!
The "cape" or whatever it could be called, I made out of paper. ![[Wolf] So I have FINALLY finished this custom - Wolf, from the Quentin Carnival of the Ghost Rider comics.
I really love the characters from the carnival, and I've already made Kody, so this is my second one.
Wolf is a 200+ year-old dwarf who's Johnny Blaze's second-in-charge at the carnival.
He's an awesome tough little guy!
I used the torso and arms from an unknown 5" figure. The legs were from a 5" Thor figure, greatly shortened, and the head is a Ra's Al Ghul cast from Black Arachnis.
I sculpted a lot on the pants, and the lower half of his left arm was completly sculpted, but it's still articulated the same as the right arm (which isn't a lot but still).
I also sculpted the entire neck, with articulation for it to turn side-to-side and for his head to look up and down, though this is greatly limited by the hair, which comes from a LotR figure.
The left hand is from a Wolverine figure. Hope it's visible that it's a cigarr he's holding in that hand.

I've always like this vampire P.I. and here he is in the outfit he wore during most of the Nightstalkers series. I made a Hannibal custom before, but lets forget that ever happened, because this one is a lot better.
I used a Moon Knight body as the base and an Archangel head from our friend Black Arachnis. I sculpted some details on the body and hair and ears on the head, as well as very delicate sharp nails.
The thing that was the hardest to figure out was the darned cape-thing he wears.
I looked at lots of reference pictures before I understood how it was supposed to look, and I drew a pattern and modified it until it looked good. Then I cut it out in fabric and painted it.

Now there's a Robot contest, and I realized I should finish this figure and enter it!
Since I hadn't planned to make the figure when I started making it, I used various stuff I could find in my fodder-box. A really butchered He-Man torso, a pair of Bishop’s arms, the legs from TNA Elix Skipper and a pair of Hulk hands.
I took scotch tape and cut thin slices to use as belts on his torso and lower legs.
I then took the arms and dremled them down. I even cut up his right shoulder, took out and sanded that part too.

There aren't many good pictures of her though, and she's always wearing different clothing, so it was hard to get the look right. I decided to go with jeans and a leather jacket.
I sculpted the jeans and the hair. I think both things came out pretty good.
The head is a Fathom head, of course from Black Arachnis.
I have no idea where the jacket is from. It's a bit short though, but that's alright.

Using the body of Wonder Man and the head from Hulk Buster Iron Man, I imedietly felt that I had a really strong recipe for this character.
I sculpted some details as you can see on the WIP picture. The hair is from a Mandarin head cast by Black Arachnis, I had cut off the hair because I was moddifying the the Mandarin head for another project, so when I made this figure, I found the hair and it fit perfectly on Wonder Man's shoulders, so I sculpted the hair on his head and attached the Mandarin piece.](userimages/customs/4000/3851-1.jpg) Caretaker Midnight Sons & Friendsby LWesCaretaker is one of those superb characters that hasn't been used in comics in years. 3000 years ago; N’Kantu was a great warrior and king of the Swarili, but he and his people were taken as slaves by Egyptians. When he led other slaves to rebel against their oppressors, he was captured by the evil Nephrus, who punished him by replacing all his blood with some special liquid and mummifying him alive. This liquid inside of him made N’Kantu immortal, so he was alive all those 3000 years he laid paralysed in a tomb.
