![[Doc Savage and Dio] Hi All
I decided for my first 1/6 custom since I've been back would be the Pulp action hero Doc Savage, I've always like Savage but the hairdo always annoyed me especially the way it whent to a point on the forehead.
So when I was searching for reference pics I came across some old Savage comic book covers that had a different hair style which suited the 1930's and 40's style that I wanted to go for.
RECIPE
Doc Savage - Main body is a ACI muscle body the hands are from Sideshows and Hottoys Indy figures which have been repainted. The head I have had in the parts box for a long time and can't remember which company made it.
The shirt is a Indy Hottoys and the pants are from Sideshows Indy, the boots and belt are from Dragon and the left wrist brace was made from some old leather and small plastic buckles.
The gun is from and old sci-fi figure with an added sight added to the top from plasti-card and the torch is made from some old house hold decorative sticks and the fla](userimages/customs/42000/41969-1.jpg) Doc Savage and Dio Doc Savageby HembleHi All

RECIPE
Doc Savage - is a combo of the lower legs from a young Indy from TLC, boots from a SW figure, upper body from a Build N Brawl figure and head from a GI Joe figure. The belt is from the Hasbro Indy figure line with the holster and whip holder cut off, the shirt was made using an old hanky. Once put together the figure was painted and weathered using Vallejo and GW paints.
The Base - is just an old base from another dio that I use that I keep in the cupboard.

![["Renny" Renwick of Doc Savage's Crew] Colonel John "Renny" Renwick, one of Doc Savage's aids. He's a civil engineer by trade, so I gave him dungarees, a leather jacket, beat-up fedora, and muddy boots. Renny loves to prove his prowess by punching his oversized fists through doors. He looks perpetually gloomy, especially when he's having fun. So he's made from a movie Magneto head and hands (so Ian McKellen's head) and some manga body. The hat is from The Shadow, steamed to curve. The jacket is an X-Man's, split up the sides and arms and snugged, then glued down tight. The pants cuffs were plastic hoops, then I laid down thin cloth, matching the seams down the legs and filling gaps with white putty. Renny flicks away a cigarette as he wades into yet another fight with evil minions bent on world domination. This my 50th figure. Compare to my Monk Mayfair, my third, and see that Yes, anyone can improve with practice.](userimages/customs/22000/21888-1.jpg) "Renny" Renwick of Doc Savage's Crew Doc Savageby claytonemeryColonel John "Renny" Renwick, one of Doc Savage's aids.
