Constantine's character is an almost arch-typical trickster-mage, set in an urban fantasy context. John strives for the good of mankind in his own manipulative way against the dark beings and machinery of the universe.
So, that preface out of the way for those who don't know the character, here's more about this custom:
I really loved the gritty, strung-out, almost 'Heavy Metal' magazine art style Bisley uses in his illustrations of Jon recently for the title HELLBLAZER. Bisley's artstyle, and how he draws John Constantine also influenced the books interior art, although not quite as extreme.
Now, that depiction in mind, take a look at the 'factory' DC Universe 'Signature' series John Constantine figure by Mattel.

![[Delirium Figure] Hi everybody,
I've started doing an Endless figure set, mostly because the official figures either don't fit well together as a set/ were never made. Here's my version of Delirium, she's in various clothes that she wore during the Brief Lives comic. She took a fair amount of work, her left arm had to be sanded to remove the sweater texture so her arm could be bare (missing a sleeve in comic art), a section of her shirt front had to be shaved off and sculpted so it would be an open cardigan over bare skin. Her hair and a large section of her head was cut off so I could epoxy over it to give Delirium her punky half-shaved hairdo. Skirt and shoes are epoxy, fake fur on collar and chain on sweater clip.
I also painted a Schleich german shepherd to be a Barnabus for her.
Enjoy, and wish me luck on her brothers and sisters!](userimages/customs/21000/20826-1.jpg) Delirium Figure Sandmanby missharleyquinnHi everybody,

A very steampunk rendition of Constantine is found in the DC/Vertigo title "Books of Magick: Life During Wartime" which chronicles the battle between two parallel versions of Earth.
Recipe:
John Constantine:
-ML Sentry (non bearded head, resculpted hair with Aves)
-Movie Masters Joker Goon (torso modified with sculpt, legs, shoes)
-X2 Cyclops (Hands, modified with Aves Sculpt / Magnet)
-HML Nick Fury (Longcoat, Arms)
-BTVS Spike Flask Accessory (resculpted + magnet)
-Plastic Cape fodder (hand cut neck tie)
-Neonium Magnets (for right foot, hand, and flask)
-Gel Type Superglue
-Liquid Type Krazy Glue superglue (paint sealant)
Used the Aves Sculpt + baby powder trick for attaching/maintaining articulation with the head (ball joint), and hands (swivel at the wrists). However, I couldn't find the right base figure: most articulated figures I found was too bulky, or the wrong proportions.
Two years later, I'd improved my skills, and came across a SOTA 'Remy' figure for $9 at a local hobbyshop. I feel take on the Sandman turned out well. Both the Remy Character and the Sandman have such a long, narrow face, so this figure retains some of that serene, distant expression carried by the comics title character.
:::: Recipe:
-Painted the body using multiple coats of black Vallejo acrylic paint.
-Sealed the black areas (while in pieces) using Superglue to prevent paint rub.
-Sculpted over the vertical wrist joint and sanded the surface to match.
-Painted multiple coats of white Vallejo acrylic paint on the Remy Figure's head and hands (x2 sets, alt. pair not pictured)
