This was in amongst some figures I bought for fodder and was missing a lower leg and so sat unused for a while. I wanted to make either Aurra Sing, Assaj Ventress and not Aayla Secura, until I thought the costume and face looked a bit like the Jedi Master. The face is not as pretty as the actress who portrayed Secura but I set about chopping off the hair, resculpting the forehead and adding the Lekku (or dangly bits) using greenstuff. The bikini on the base figure was far too revealing for a jedi master so I layered some pantyhose nylon over and used superglue to fix (caution, do this outside as it will give off noxious fumes). I still had an issue with the lower legs. I had a Gandalf figure in bits waiting to be customised and thought, 'those boots could be useful'. So I boil n popped them off and added them, hinge and all to the aayla figure. She does have massive feet and will only stand in certain poses before looking odd, but as she is based, what the heck! I was cleaning a mint condition squid Head I had bought and, trying to remove the head, I managed to snap the neck and then when I tried to repair the body, managed to almost destroy everything else by using too high a setting on the dremel. Well, with that disaster came the chance to get a vintage looking Squid Head on a modern body. The torso and legs are Mace Windus, the arms head and accessories are vintage. I than repainted everything so you can see what a great sculpt the 83 Tessek was! ![[Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader] After seeing a few Anakins made from Legolas on here and on the net I decided to have a go myself. I had a 20p Legolas that I noticed was damaged so I added the legs of a Prince of Persia figure, some leather, a scratch built saber and some bits from the spares. I used green stuff to sculpt the messy hair he had at the end of ep3 and cut in a scar. All was painted with citadel acrylics and based on an old tea coaster. He doesn have sith eyes as it means that I can use him as Anakin (although he does have the circles under his eyes!). Yes, Darth Vader is good but this dude is his boss and to be a dark lord of the Sith you need to be pretty evil. However cool he is, old Palpatine in Emperor form has been under represented by Hasbro in decent figures. The Power of the Force 2 is perhaps the best thus far but is showing its age. Pity as Hasbro has nailed Palpatine's likeness when not in 'evil mode' but they struggled to give us a RotJ figure that was actually articulated.
*The Recipe*
This was a 'pepper pot' Emperor from 2003. It had girly arms, a massive (and I mean massive) hood and a hard cloak. The likeness is very good though and after the robe was cut off, (to reveal a half head), the distinctive stoop was there and I had a figure to work with.
The face and inner robes were all repainted in acrylics, and when dry, the robe from the 'poofy robed' 2012 Darth Sidious were added. ![[Demise of Mace Windu] I had a few Mace Windu figures and one with a screaming face that looked laughable on my shelf. I also had a few Agen Kolar figures too. I always loved that bit in Episode 3 when Mace confronts Palpatine and thought I could put that hasbro force lightning you get with the Saga legends Mace to better use.
Recipe
Episode 2 Mace windu inner robes, arms and head (all boil and popped)
Agen Kolar's robes
Lightsaber and lightning from Saga legends Mace Windu.
Not much painting on this one just a few washes from citadel on the inner robes and face and a complete repaint of the outer robes. I purposely wanted him to match my other Hasbro figures but I may repaint him soon

It was made into a Gentle Giant Bust Christmas just gone and I always admired this subtle (if none canon) nod to Anakin Skywalker's lost past. As Vader realizes his son is alive, this ditty of finding a gold Protocol droid may have brought back memories from when Darth Vader was not more machine than man but a man happy fixing machines.

Revenge of the sith Vader, completely repainted with the arms glued and the head repositioned. As it was from ebay, it needed a helmet so the Vintage collection helmet was glued on after being repainted in humbrol acrylic gloss black. The cloak was from an ep 3 count dooku and was dyed black with citadel inks. The cloak has also been fixed with matte medium to hold it in place. ![[Boba Fett] Usually people convert Boba Fett into Jodo Kast. However, I had not been able to track down a decent Boba and was stuck with the terrible quick draw Boba Fett or the overpriced VTC Fett. My toys r us were stocked with Jodo Kast figures going rather cheaply and being a completist, bought one. However, despite the terrible paint job and belt on back to front, it was a great figure that, despite the new head, was a Boba repaint anyway. I set to work, popping the head off and replacing it with a VTC clone trooper head that was Boba's likeness. Then it was a case of trimming the target antenna thingy off and replacing it with wire, pinching the cloth off the awfull saga legends Boba and a repaint in Tamiya, Citadel and vallejo. Finding reference material for ESB and ROTJ versions, I opted for an in between style. In short, it is not screen accurate but looks darn cool. Little else to say really other than it was testing but a lot of fun to paint and then weather up!

The base figure was lyra from the golden compass lines. I got a few of the GC figures as fodder for spares a while ago when they were £1 each at a discount store and did have them on display for a while. However, I never liked them as the detal was soft and they were simply outof place in my collection. ![[T-600] This was a labour of love/hate. I picked up this 12 inch T-600 from Toys-R-Us back in 2010 when they were being sold off for £5 each. I picked up a t-800 (the one with a massive head and bug eyes) and a t-700 (with the bug eyes) as well as this. Let me just say that this was a bug ugly figure and the only reason I bought it was becasue of the rubber mask. At times I wish I had left it on the shelf but at the time I had only the 4inch figure and wanted a large T-600 but could not afford a Hot Toys one. I am very critical of this figure especially given the amount of time spent on it.
So, where do I start? First off the figure was dismantled and the arm pistons were cut off and the wrists hollowed with a dremel. After I slipped with the dremel, I had to then rebuild the wrists using a coke tin. The pistons were made with various plastic tubes and also guitar string that looks like braided hosing. After that I lost interest and put the entire project away. When I restarted I set to](userimages/customs/38000/37759-1.jpg) T-600 Terminatorby Darth_NoxidThis was a labour of love/hate.
