![[Spider-Man] I love Spider-Man lol. And so does my favorite customer! He sent me a pic of a costume design taken from the internet and asked if I could replicate it. The differences are very subtle: The chest, back and gloves all differ from the classic look and he has added visible wrist shooters.
I started originally with a Spidey Classics Spider-Man but with a massive rookie mistake I forgot hard plastic doesn't bend with heat! After snapping the torso, I took to using the Classics head with the McFarlane body.
Took him completely apart, split his crotch (ouch!) and dremmeled him within an inch of his life. As many of us know, this figure is a nightmare for paint rub as the joints are all so flush, so it took a while to change this. Dremmeled his face to change the eyes then his chest spider and fixit-sculped his back to remove the old symbol. I then used Fixit-Sculpt for the wrist shooters (based on the Marc Webb's film) and undercoated him white. Base coated dark blue and red and then highl](userimages/customs/49000/48844-1.jpg) Spider-Man Marvel Legendsby JaimanI love Spider-Man lol. And so does my favorite customer! He is an ASM base with a new paint job but boy did it take some time haha!
I hadn't appreciated that white on black shows up the minutest of errors. Not only that, but because of the criss-crossing web patterns, I couldn't just paint in the lines and the dry brush over any errors because no matter which way i brushed, it went into the indentations. Likewise with using a wash.
The only sure way was to paint in the lines and then go over every single square in black for a super-clean finish. Took a few hours for sure!
I used various techniques to seal the joints after sanding and then sealed paintwork too to finish.
Hope you like him.
Thanks

![[Ultimate Spiderman] This figure was made for a lovely client and her super cool son.
Spidey consists of a base of an Ultimate Spider-Man figure but with removed legs. I replaced these with two that had much better articulation and a slightly longer length. I had to fixit-sculpt all the grooves in the webbing design on the lower parts and feet and then sand these for a smooth finish.
One careful paint-job later and voila (yikes, I'd forgotten how tricky the spider logo was lol)!
Thanks for looking!

Bats is made from an early DC Superheroes Series 3 Batman body. I removed the head and cape and replaced it with the Superman/Batman Series 6 ones as I preferred these sculpts much more.
After a repaint and a bit of sculpt to merge the cape and cowl, I figured he could do with a Bruce Wayne head too. I liked the idea of a slightly older Batman and had a spare Marvel Legend Magneto head lying around. I dremelled the front of the hair and inside the head, carried out a repaint and voila!

![[Jack Bauer] I made this a while back after I made my Snake Eyes figure. I realised the Sam Fisher base had multiple uses for all types of figures and remembering I had a McFarlane Jack Bauer stored away, I set about making it happen.
Jack has a repainted Fisher body with a fixit-sculpt neck (as the McFarlane head didn't have one!) and Jack's repainted head. I had to do a bit of colour matching with the skin tones but think it worked out ok.
All the weapons are pretty much Mcfarlane Military as is his holster. I aim to get round to switching his feet for some boots at some point!

I've long been a fan of Jin Saotome's work and when I saw what he'd done with Big time Spidey, I remembered that I had a Red Hulk ML Black Costume Spider-Man and knew I had to create my own version. I always hated the tiny pin head he came with and wasn't a fan of the feet either.
When Big Time Spider-Man was released, I realised it was the exact same body. I bought and pulled apart an alternate costumed BT Spidey, shaved down the joints, swapped his head, hands and feet and then repainted and dull coat sprayed. I gave his eyes a nice gloss to finish.
Thanks for looking (and thanks Jin for the inspiration!)

![[Infinite Crisis Batman] I made quite a few customs to begin with that were strictly just re-paints before I started getting the confidence to sculpt. Sometimes though, a bit of paint is all you need I guess; if you have a good enough base, a cool paint job can really lift it.
I had this figure for a while before realising that if Batman's gonna get his ass kicked that badly, there ought to be a bit of injury detail!
Batman is made from an Infinite Crisis base, with acrylic 'blood'. He was matt sprayed followed by a gloss covering on the gore to get a nice wet look!

Thought that the Hasbro ASM movie figures left a lot to be desired (as usual) so thought I'd take one apart and try to make it a little more movie accurate. Spidey is strictly a re-paint but it took a while to take him all apart, sand down the joints and then give him just the right amount of of matt and gloss to get the spandex effect in the film. I like the eyes most of all. I experimented with different techniques to achieve a glass effect and was pretty pleased with the outcome overall.
Thanks for viewing!

![[Snake Eyes] Iv'e always wanted to create a 6" scale Snake Eyes figure and, although I've owned a bootleg one, it never really matched up to my vision of the commando that always thought would look cool. This is my first in depth custom. I've produced a few previously but these have been re-paints and basic sculpting. Snake Eyes is made from parts from a total of 10 figures with additional sculpting using Fixit-Sculpt.
Base Body: Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher with re-sculpted forearms
Head: re-sculpted and re-painted McFarlane Jack Bauer head with sculpted neck and visor (removable)
Lower legs: Street Fighter Guile
Packs and weapons from, DC Direct Batman, 3 x Mcfarlane Miltary figures, Ninja Gaiden, Playarts Hitman, Metal Gear Solid and The Matrix.
Straps and buckles: Styrofoam strips and elastic.
This took a loooong time to do but it was mainly after work in the evenings so took about a month. Had fun doing it though.
