Beppo was a lot of fun to make. Using parts from various scales is always fun, as it broadens the available fodder. I think the complete recipe is as follows.

Hasbro Marvel Legends Hope Summers arms and hands

Like similar previous changes such as the Silver Age and its Earth One and Two and the DC Universe after the Crisis, the New 52 seems to be the main source of stories being told of characters from DC Comics' rich history.
Regardless of those various things, maybe you will enjoy this customized figure of the current incarnation of Darkseid. It's basically the head, hands and costume details from the DC Unlimited Darkseid figure placed on a larger body. It's one of those projects where I just had to try it. I kept looking at the DC Unlimited figure and thinking it was supposed to be on a bigger body. So I decided to see what I could do, but I didn't want to work on it for more than a day or two as I don't consider it a project I really want to spend a lot of work doing. Amazingly enough, the Darkseid parts fit on the larger body like they were meant to be there. I used a Collect And Connect Trigon figure, because it was t](userimages/customs/50500/50070-1.jpg) DC Universe Classics Style New 52 Darkseid D.C. ![[Marvel Legends Style Magik Illyana Rasputin] Illyana is a character I want to see a Legends figure of. I decided to create one myself, just in case they don't. I wanted the armor to have a sort of battle damaged or morphing look to it, and not look too slick or perfect since the sword I used has a very detailed look to it. The sword is from some sort of fantasy demon devil looking monster figure. That figure is in 3 3/4" scale, but the sword works pretty good for a Magik figure. The idea for Spoiler from the leftover body was the only thing I could think of. I'm not a big big fan of the Stephanie Brown character, but I do like the character. A lot of figures were used to create Spoiler. A lot lol. And there's from various scales, ranging from 6" Marvel Legends to 3 3/4" figures to 12" Sideshow. I got several Marvel Legends Power Man figures on clearance a few years ago. I decided to see if I could zombify one. The most fun of the project was fabricating the little tubes and pipes and pieces of the Galactus "armor". I did use a relatively rare figure for the Badoon arm, a Jazwares Mortal Kombat Reptile. But, when I got the figure on clearance at a Kaybee back in 2006 I was able to get several of them because they just sat at the store for weeks. Back when I used the figure for customizing it apparently wasn't quite as desirable on the aftermarket. The teeth are made using plastic toothpicks, set in while retooling the face. ![[Custom Marvel Legends Black Cat] Here's a simple enough, albeit deceptively simple, custom figure; Marvel's Black Cat, from of course Spider-man's cast of characters. I'm glad the recent "X-Mutants" Mystique was released, and I hope it goes on clearance at some online retailer or other because I want at least half a dozen to customize. I want to do a Catwoman as bad as Black Cat, but I've been doing some pretty satisfying customizations from Spidey's world this year, so I decided to go with Felicia first. It's basically the Mystique figure, with the figure partially disassembled to dye the articulation points black. She was spray painted matte black using vinyl automotive paints. The torso was also modified so that the range of articulation is improved. I tried to create an appearance that was a mix of a real frog with some cartoon like stylizing. ![[Marvel Legends Scale Avengers Movie "Final Ba] If you've seen the 2012 Avengers flim, then you'll probably recognize this depiction of Iron Man from near the end of the movie. The chest was made from making a "push mold" of the Mark IV figure's chestplate (the one that comes with the RDJ sunglasses wearing head) and pressing it onto some epoxy resin material placed on the Mark VI figure's chest. I cast it in epoxy resin and sculpted in some battle damage here and there before it completely cured and bonded to the figure. I sculpted his Robert Downey, Jr. likeness from scratch as well as I could, and sculpted on some battle damage using a Dremel tool and a heat tool that actually reshapes and melts the plastic. Figure is durable and sturdy and will hold up to repeated handling. Comes with removable faceplate... how else is he gonna eat schwarma? ![[Marvel Legends Face off Hulk with Fists] Here's a simple but very satisfying customization; the Face Off Hulk with fists from the Marvel Select Avengers movie Hulk. Well, simple as opposed to some other projects. But, it's a customized figure nonetheless. It's basically the Face Off Hulk with the arms from the Select Avengers Hulk, but the shoulder pegs and the upper arm cavities had to be modifed to get everything to fit. There are two thick screws that were originally used for holding a guitar neck onto a guitar body acting as bones of a sort, reinforcing the shoulder peg and attaching into the upper arm cavity. I should've taken some pics before I attached the arms. I'm thinking of painting the skin to match the color used in the 70s comics, but for now I'm just geeking over something that looks like a Face Off Hulk manufactured with fists :). I didn't want to bother with machining out a new peg hole in a resin casted head this time. The entire Superboy figure was given a dye bath before painting, so that the points of articulation would look like they were all cast in black plastic. It's Superboy's head, shoulders, forearms, upper and lower torso and upper legs and Marvel Legends Mandarin's upper arms, elbows, knees, lower legs and feet and Marvel Legends Wolverine's hands. The Incredible Hulk, as he was portrayed by Lou Ferrigno in the CBS television series.
The head and hands are sculpted from scratch by me, and you're looking at resin copies of them that I painted. Much of the rest of the figure is a heavily modified mego "type 2" action figure body, known as such because it was the second type of body used for those types of figures. I did this... I don't even remember, exactly. About a year ago, I think. I can't say that I'm the most enthusiastic fan of every single thing about the whole Marvel Zombies franchise, but this was an awfully fun customizing project.
The Spider-man figure is in 3.75" scale, and was originally a Marvel Legends Super Hero Showdown figure. The zombiefied parts of his body are mostly from a skeleton accessory that came with a Star Wars Amanaman figure. Using a Dremel rotary tool, I strategically placed everything together to try to suitably zombiefy him, using super glue to hold the pieces in their new places. Giving him a little exposed zombie thumb, shoulder and foot required some patience.
