I took a John Cena, popped off the head, and took some sculpting clay, and made hair. It took almost an hour! And, this is my first time sculpting anything detailed like hair! Then, I painted it. Next, I took a shirt from an old puppet, and cut the shirt down to correct size. This was kind of hard. Then, here's the sad thing. When I put the head back on, the hair broke open. So I had to sculpt hair. AGAIN! The second time it came out MUCH better! But, I had to repaint this hair about 5 times to get the color right. So, the detail didn't show as much. UGH! The pictures also make it look kind of funny, especially the face. Well, in the end, it was very hard, and my first good quality figure, but I think it turned out good for a beginner like me! I hope I get good votes! Thanks for your time, and ENJOY!!!](userimages/customs/42500/42135-1.jpg) Peter Parker Spider-Manby Carnage99First of all, this is my first contest entry! Now, I have news you'll be happy to here, this is my FINAL Dollar Tree Custom! From Now on, I will not use any base figures from dollar tree! Unless of course, I am asked to! But, Scorpion is my last figure I will be using from Dollar Tree. I now plan to go more professionally, by using better quality figures. So, I took a Dollar Tree Wrestler, took it apart, and painted it all light green, but painted the boots and hands dark green. I painted the eyes red for a more sinister look. Then, I opened a pack of Sculpting clay I got from the hobby store. It's ok, but easily breaks. I just wanted to buy some clay to experiment with. Next, I will use the great, the awesome, the professional, AVE'S APOXIE SCULPT! But, I am getting that later! Anyways, I sculpted the tail myself. Then I painted it light green. I put the figure back together, and glued the tail on. And now, I had a Scorpion! Tah-dah! So, what do you guys think? Please, any comments or tips are always greatl](userimages/customs/42000/41747-1.jpg) Scorpion Spider-Manby Carnage99This is my 6th Custom! Then I painted it all yellow, except for the face. I painted the waist, boots, and shoulders blue. I painted Logans sideburns with black. To mix it up, I decided to make him unmasked. (It was also easier!) So, after I painted him yellow, I painted the blue stripes. Which I messed up and had to repaint about 5 times. I usually round to the nearest 5th hour or so for the completion time. It was about 10 because I kept messing up on the stripes, well, after that, I made the claws. For Lightning Warrior, I used toothpick ends and painted them silver, but for Logan I decided to make it more real. The claws were actually made for the metal of an old, torn umbrella. It was EXTREMELY HARD to cut the metal. I had to get these GIANT clippers. I have a utility knife, and the sharp saw blade didn't even scratch it!!! I used a Dollar Tree Skullhawk figure, which had the PERFECT face. He also had a black spikey leather jacket and spikey boots. Perfect for Ghost Rider. I painted a little bit of the tan skin all black, and clipped the gun off of his right hand. I painted the face completely white. I tried adding a black shadow effect, but all the color was too dark, so I kept it white. The HARDEST part, was the fire. I spent over a half hour with my new Low temp glue gun trying to make the flames. I was going to make his Hellcycle, but the smooth sports bike toy I had wasn't right at all, and I didn't want to spend 10 hours sculpting nothing but crap. But, I got the idea of something. His blue sports bike, is what turns into the Hellcycle. So, I could just make the blue motorcycle, which was a perfect fit of my toy. So, I painted the bike blue, and painted some yellow flames. I just updated the figure, with a nice steel Hellcycle I bought at the](userimages/customs/42000/41637-1.jpg) Ghost Rider Ghost Riderby Carnage99Here is my 4th and DEFINITLY BEST custom, GHOST RIDER!!! I took a yellow dollar tree ninja figure, and gave him some slick, black, hair using hot glue, then painting it black. This was originally going to be Robin, but then I got the wrestler and used him instead. So then, I was stuck with a ninja with Elvis Hair. That's when I got the idea to make the Lightning Warrior. Lightning Warrior was a character that I made on Marvel's website WAAAAAY back. He was blue, with a Spiderman 2099-like symbol, had wolverine blades, wolverine boots, black hair, cyclops-like glasses and one of those little mouth speaker things. His base was blue, but a lot of his parts were red. He originally had a cape, but I gave him 2 swords on the back instead. (You can see that right after I changed it in the picture of his Marvel look. I didn't take the neck cape part off yet.) I replaced the neck of the cape with a spike necklace, but didn't put that on the figure. So, basically, I painted him blue, painted the symbol](userimages/customs/42000/41619-1.jpg) Lightning Warrior Marvelby Carnage99This is Lightning Warrior! He is my 3rd custom!!! I think it turned out well for a dollar tree figure. I took a dollar tree wrestling figure, took it apart by removing the screws, painted it red, leaving a few spots black, and I painted the hands black. I painted the face a light tan and painted the mouth red and the black mask with white eyes. Then, I cut out some yellow foam, painted the back side black, and cut out and painted a Robin symbol for the back of the cape. Then, I painted the shirt clasps and the Robin symbol on the chest, and put him back together. Compared to my first custom, Toxin. I think he turned out AMAZING! Please, tips and comments are appreciated!!! Enjoy- Carnage99](userimages/customs/41500/41460-1.jpg) Robin Batman & Robinby Carnage99This is my second custom. I just HAD to have a Toxin figure! This is my very first custom. The only tools I had were paint and a high temp hot glue gun! I want to get into action figure customazation, but don't want to completely destroy any of my figures. So, I went to Dollar Tree and got a pack of 2 cheap ninja figures. Nothing moves on my Toxin except for his arms. I know he looks like crap, but until I actually get some Apoxie Sculpt and some tools, this is it! Here's what I did: I took one of the ninjas and spraypainted the body red. After that dried, I hot glued it all over the bottom to show the Symbiote look. I painted the glue Navy Blue using acrylic paint, and painted the eyes silver and the mouth black and painted yellow teeth. Then I took a few strips of solder and glued them for the tendril look. I painted them red/blue, and glued them on. And, then you have a cheap, low-grade, TOXIN!!! Don't forget, i'm only 13, but very creative.
