![[Green Arrow V.1] Green Arrow is my favorite DC anti/hero so I had to enter one version, since I have a few more on going projects. Any how, I used a Retaliation Zartan as my base, removed the head and replaced it with some head I cut off of a broken figure my wife gave me. I had to drill a hole in the neck to fit the ball and sculpt the goatee paint it the hair and the eye mask. DG Storm Shadow hood, bow, and chest strap, Renegades Duke vest, Zartan quiver. I used Model Master paint for the new paint job, two shades of green, green zinc and another green. It was a little rushed, but I'm happy with version 1. and I hope you are too.](userimages/customs/50000/49721-1.jpg) Green Arrow V.1 G.I. First I popped the Rocks head off and replaced it with a Bane head from the movie figures, the ones with almost no articulation, also his gloved hand and dremeled a hole through it to fit on RoadBlocks arm. I picked the right arm to hide the hand replacement. I gave it a new paint job using Model Masters, a couple coats of skin tone and a wash with a green to appear like venom, also I used a flat black and dry brushed the blue for his pants. The head was the hardest, I sculpted over the face made the eyes and repainted. I added a venom tank to his back painted it green and dry brushed it with silver, I then used wire for hoses to his head and right arm. The last thing I did was add the cover over his neck to appear more like a mask and the computer thing on his right arm glove. Hope you like.](userimages/customs/50000/49691-1.jpg) Bane G.I. He has always stood out as a really ugly, nasty guy every since I was a kid. Blame it on Captain Planet and Earth Day or just how sick his original figure and card art were. Not to mention his back story, Vincent A. D'Alieva falls into a toxic sludge and is horribly disfigured, he comes out as Cesspool and blames environmentalists and G.I.Joe and is eager to work for Cobra. Anyway, I used a new Retaliation FireFly torso and head, a Jungle BAT legs and lower right arm, Sci-Fi helmet, Jungle BAT backpack, and a Techno-Viper Cobra symbol. For paint, flat black spray primer, Testors enamels and Model Master with a Krylon Matte Finish. I hope you like my piece it's my first entry to a contest so the nerves are there to impress. ![[Donatello] I finally decided to grab a new nick TMNT figure since everybody else is doing something with these guys. When I got Don out the package, WoW, these guys are awesome figures and a lot of fun...Anyway I gave Donatello a wash of Licorice FolkArt paint a few times and a coat of Krylon Matte Finish and a coat of Testors Dullcote. I don't know he just reminds me of the Don in the first TMNT movie and seeing it as a kid.](userimages/customs/48000/47715-1.jpg) Donatello | ![[Caped Crusader] For this guy I used a Snake Eyes figure my wife got for me for Christmas and a few of the Dark Knight Rises figures a friend gave me, you know the ones that don't have much articulation. I cut off the shoulder pads, wrist guards, neck brace, belt, cape, head, everything. Then I dremeled down the pieces to fit, I was going for a 'Year One' feel, when Batman doesn't have everything figured out just yet, or have a fancy suit with a lot of toys. Instead he's got a knife, a rope, and a grapple hook. I finished him off with a paint job and made the base, using parts from one of the packages. I named him the Caped Crusader to go with the whole 'Year One' theme. Anyway, I plan on making a version of Batman, so be on the look out for that. Thanks. -Ka](userimages/customs/47500/47494-1.jpg) Caped Crusader |
![[Red Skull] Pretty much I took the head from a McFarlane Curse of the Spawn figure and made the hole for the neck, then I changed the hands and added the skull belt buckle and the band on his left arm. I put a couple red dry brush coats on the head and repainted the whole figure darker,.I think it's semi-gloss on the pants with a matte finish and a flat grey for the shirt. This figure is a commission/present for my brother-n-law. I used an Agent J as the base figure because of the suit, that was pretty easy. The head is from a 1998 Star Wars Mace Windu figure, I cut the head off, shaped it, and made the hole to fit the neck. Then I cut the hair off the Agent J figure, shaped and molded then glued it on to the top of the Mace head. To finish I added a new paint job to match the picture and painted the base.](userimages/customs/47000/46863-1.jpg) Obama Joker Originalby KaMillion KustomsIt's been some time since my last post, mainly due to the lack of funds to complete any of my on going projects. ![[Baron Von Strucker] I used the body of a M.A.R.S Trooper and repainted it with the Hydra colors using Testors acrylic. The head was a little tricky, for it I used the extra head that comes with the new Zartan figure, sculpted the monocle and repainted it with Testors enamel. Also I made the pendant and added the Hydra symbol, plus gave Strucker the gun belt from Hawkeye and a knife on his boot. Baron Strucker is the first figure to come out of the "Guilty by Association" lot that I'm working on. He also has a custom file card. I don't know who the original figue it or even how i came about obtaining it. I normally don't do this scale but, when I saw this figure I knew who I was going to make it into. ![[Sci-Fi] I've always liked the colors and art of 1960's sci-fi movie posters and early Amazing Stories pulp classic covers of spacemen fighting aliens from other worlds. I was inspired by these concepts and colors to make this figure of Sci-Fi. It would only make sense to use the 30th anniversary figure, but the legs were too futuristic for the look I was going for. So, I switched them and used the Cobra H.I.S.S Driver's, and added AirTight's vest and backpack. It was a perfect fit for what I was shooting for. For the paint I tried to use colors that stood out in almost all of the early sci-fi posters, bright green, yellow, deep blue and red. I used bronze on the armor because I loved the way it looked against the bright green, plus it just gave me the right feel to the figure as a whole. This figure was alot of fun to create from beginning to end, I hope everyone likes it as much as I do. As always comments and advise is welcome.](userimages/customs/44000/43726-1.jpg) Sci-Fi | ![[Rex "the Doctor" Lewis 2099 (Battlesuit)] I used an Iron Grenadier upper body and added a Whiplash left arm fitted with a Rex Lewis hand and glove. The legs are from a Techno-Viper with Iron Grenadier shinpads. For the mask I used an Ally-Viper helment and the head is Rex "The Doctor" Lewis from the Rise of Cobra. Webgear is a M.A.R.S. Industries Officer's. Also the jetpack is from Jango Fett and the lightsword is Anakin Skywalker's. All finished with a paint job of Testors and clear coats. This custom was a lot of fun to do, everything just came together without a problem and for the most part turned out the way I thought it would. ![[Red F** Ninja] Recipe/Description, This guy was my first figure to test out and learn a lot of different things before I found a method that worked. I hated this guy, so many things failed and went wrong. I was inspired but the SuckLord and just felt like I sucked at this, therefore I wanted to just make fun of myself and the characters I was creating. That's were this figure comes from really I bought a Red Fang Ninja and a movie Storm Shadow for a head swap which started it all. The red gloss paint with a matte finish really gave the outfit a MJ Thiller look to it, how funny it that? I plan on updating his paint job and a couple more things soon, but I wanted to get the original out first. Any comments or advice is welcome.](userimages/customs/43000/42778-1.jpg) Red F** Ninja | ![[Snitch] This figure was one of the first I successfully created, actually I think the second. I was at the point to where I was thinking I was no good at this and everything keeps not working, plus everybody thinks I'm wierd and or doesn't understand what I'm trying to do with this hobby or vision. So, I made this figure for all the "haters" that watched me fail so many times in the very beginning. I used a pink paint I mixed up and a red rouge nail polish and clear. My favorite parts are the cell phone and headset mainly because people hide behind a text and or a phone call these days. So this figure reminds me to not pay atention to what other people have to say but to stay true to myself and what makes me happy.](userimages/customs/43000/42585-1.jpg) Snitch G.I. ![[Red Hulk] This started out as what I thought was going to be a simple re-paint, but by the end I'm pretty sure I was looking like the Red Hulk figure itself. Enraged! What happened was, I had the details down just the way I wanted it to look, so I went to apply a clear sealer, I did so and it clouded the paint job. Ok not a big deal, used some thinner and repainted...and then went to use a different clear, it clouded even worse! Now, I'm to the point where I can't go any darker, so I mixed up some thinned down dark red and washed and dried a coat of that and followed it up with a black wash also, as for the pants the clears and thinners mixed together gave them a cool stone-washed worn look. For the clear I went with an acrylic triple thick brush-on gloss glaze, and it worked, finally. So, I hope you like, all and all I think it came out looking pretty good. Any comments are welcome or advice.](userimages/customs/43000/42580-1.jpg) Red Hulk | ![[Nathan "Alpha" Golson] This is my first custom to submit to the realm.
