![[Hawkeye] This custom movie edition Hawkeye has really grown on me since I finished him, and it has all been in adding the little details!
It started with just making the zipper show, then I wanted a slightly darker purple over everything currently purple. After that it was the glove and a purple gloss on the glasses lenses. And then I was noticing how the head's skin needed to match the body's. Done.finished. ... but then I started looking at the bow.
I cut off the thick bowstring and turned it into two partial arrows and one complete arrow w/metal tip accessory. I added painted fishing wire for the new bowstring and it works brilliantly! I removed the star on his back via dremmel and continued the seams naturally appearing on the figure. I also added the straps on the boots as well.
The correct paint apps were pretty crucial for this guy to be complete so I started from the head down. The face uses custom skin tones along with adding the blue on sides of his face. The zipper detail was brought out in the front and the blue stripe was added on the back of the torso. The gloves were given a deeper red with buckle and seam work brought out. The belt pouch detail was added and the boots needed multiple reds and black along the bottom and buckle detailing. The sheild has new blue and silver accents.

![[War Machine] War Machine has custom paint apps to give him the battle tested look. This was my first attempt at custom decals. The Air Force badge on the right arm, shoulder decals, wings on the left side of the torso and the star on the left forearm are mine. I added silver under the armpits to make the suit look a little more layered and just drybrushed all over to bring out the detail in the armor and added some weathering. Then I took those armor shoulder pads, dremmeled them down a bit, thinned out the inside of the pads and armor ridges on the torso where it meets the arm to allow a 90 degree arm raise (perfect repulsor posing angle!)ande poxied them directly to the shoulders for better poseability (they were lame attached to the torso).
Here some pics that show the articulation, This is about as good as articulation you can get when attaching them to the shoulders. The more realistic poseabilty I gained far outweighed the 5% of arm lift I lost (if you rotate the bicep, this small loss doesn't even make a difference). Enjoy!](userimages/customs/43000/42652-1.jpg) Iron Man Mark VI Marvel Legendsby JayVin CustomsThis Iron Man Mark VI was pretty easy overall. ![[Megatron] The R.I.D. Megs isn't that bad all in all, but was losing bad in style points. The show Megatron has such a cool multi-shaded, dirty metallic look that it had to be given to this guy. A deep metallic purple was used for the cannon and other purple areas. It took a while to get it done but was worth the time!](userimages/customs/43000/42605-1.jpg) Megatron | ![[Optimus Prime] I started watching Transformers Prime and knew I had to have one of the most badass versions of Optimus to date. Then I got the American R.I.D. version and was disappointed at how awful the sculpt was. I was getting ready to tear him apart and put something together that was more show accurate. I decided to turn him into Nemesis Prime.
I picked up a First Edition not too long ago and just tweaked him with some paint apps all around to be more show accurate. I used different shades of metallic silver throughout and bright blue for weapons accents. This is a more clean look before a eventual more battle tested look like the show is applied](userimages/customs/43000/42601-1.jpg) Optimus Prime |
![[Brightest Day Martian Manhunter] I waited patiently for Mattel to release this guy and my dreams of completing my Justice League finally came true. The base figure was great but that classic manhunter looks a little too... classic. I decided to ditch dated threads and give him his "Brightest Day" duds which are a massive improvement.
He is basically a repaint. I repainted his lower body black, cut the little rope between the collar and dremmeled down the belt emblem. The new belt buckle, collar circle things(?) and gem setup on the chest are random bits from Hobby Lobby. I think he turned out alright, what do you think?](userimages/customs/43000/42544-1.jpg) Brightest Day Martian Manhunter D.C. Batman] Building on the wave 15 Batman I went through two heads before going with the Hush DCD figure(its a good sculpt, you know it), the belt is from an old 6in. zip-line Batman, the buckle is from a 5in. "The Batman" Batman and the glove armor belonged to a 4in dark knight figure's hands. ![[Superman] I always liked this figure, but this DC Classics forefather needed an update. I dremmeled down the DC Superheroes vintage belt and gave him the belt from an old Superman Returns figure.
