![[Superman beyond] I got this guy off Ebay. Flew in from China for only a $1. I'm still learning the craft of Customizing; so i'm practicing a lot. I liked how this turned out.
I used tesTors black, white, and blue enamel. Sculpted the hand, forearm, shoulder, and calves "armor" with Epoxy. When I took off his cape I filled in the holes with Epoxy as well. ![[Ghostbusters Egon Spengler] Nothing special just a repaint. I fabricated the tie by using a Batman belt.](userimages/customs/45500/45225-1.jpg) Ghostbusters Egon Spengler | ![[Superman] This is my first black wash and felt fabrication. I picked this figure up at a local flea market for the sole purpose of practicing new techniques. I'll admit the blue doesn't showcase my black-wash as much as I had hoped it would; but I still like the end result.
I painted with TesTors Glossy Acrylic paint. The black-wash was done with Liquitex Acrylic. I dry brushed on the blue. This is also the first "flesh" paint I've dealt with; it wasn't so easy. Maybe it had to do with the facial damage of the base.
The cape was not with the figure at the time of purchase so I picked up a $.29 sheet of felt. It was easy to manipulate to get the wind factor.](userimages/customs/45000/44583-1.jpg) Superman Superman Returnsby jmmetalgeekThis is my first black wash and felt fabrication. ![[Spidey-Armor] I used Epoxy to fabricate the helmet, belt bags, rounded out the shoulder armor, the forearm armor, and the "jet pack" on the back. The paint is Acrylic tesTors glossy red, glossy black, and glossy white.
I had troubles with the helmet painting. I'm not 100% happy with it but i'm satisfied after spending so much time trying to "perfect" it.

The base figure is a Marvel Universe Venom I picked up from Target. I used a spray primer, Glossy Red, Glossy White, Glossy Black, and Liquitex Crimson Hue to give the tongue a deeper color.

![[Iron Captain America] This is my 6th Custom. It's nothing fancy; just a repaint. I have been practicing different techniques. This time I disassembled the figure, used Spray Primer, and repainted it...twice. I did not like how dark the original colors turned out so I did some mixing. I really enjoy the new Christopher Yost and Ryan Stegman's Scarlet Spider, Kaine. I wanted a figure for my collection so I went for it-
I used a Marvel Universe Symbiote Spider-Man as a base. I tried a non-primer method (which I regret) and some watered down Liquitex Acrylic Crimson and Black paint. The front and back emblem were ridiculously hard to keep...so I modified the logos for my brush set...and skill set heh.
Lesson learned: Need a magnifying glass for 3.75" figures...and another lamp.](userimages/customs/44000/43675-1.jpg) Scarlet Spider Marvel Universeby jmmetalgeekI have been kicking around the idea of trying 3.75" figures; but since I'm a novice I have been hesitant. ![[War Machine Punisher] I've been reading "Space Punisher" by Frank Tieri with STELLAR artwork by Mark Texeira. They inspired me to make a unique Punisher. I wanted to try something different this go around so while browsing I picked up the War Machine figure.
This was a fast Custom. I used "Spray Primer" as a base coat. For my paint I watered down the Acrylics. It was MUCH easier to use. The end result gave the Figure much more POA than my previous Customs. The Chest emblem was and painted and UBER tricky. I think patience will pay off next time.](userimages/customs/43500/43441-1.jpg) War Machine Punisher Punisherby jmmetalgeekI've been reading "Space Punisher" by Frank Tieri with STELLAR artwork by Mark Texeira. I can never find the figures I want so I am just starting to make some to my own liking. I had this Chatterer sitting around for a few years, felt like his pose was Spider-Man 2099ish so I went with it. This being my third custom the Epoxy molding was much easier for the head. However, the crevices, "slits", and costume effects were VERY difficult to conceal. I used the pants over hang by the boots to create the forearm spikes. I shaped them and embedded them into some Epoxy.
Since this figure is more of a display figure...the POA is very limited. Overall, I'm please with the end result. ![[Flash Thompson Venom] This is my second Customization. I absolutely love the new Flash Thompson Venom but could never find a Figure of him. I saw this Steve Rogers and the light bulb went off. I used Epoxy to form his head, chest piece, back piece, shoulder pads, "gauntlets", and I modified the shin guards as well as the knee caps. I painted the base coat with the Gray Primer. Both of the white and black paints are hand painted with Acrylic. I also repainted the guns and belt. I do not have a silver to paint the clips for the shin and "gauntlets" but truth be told; I like it as is...

He references "Spider-man" as his role model. I wanted to try a custom, I had purchased this Figure and to me it was a no brainier. To my knowledge this is the only one of its kind.
This is my FIRST Custom figure. This started as a curious project and ended as my new hobby. I used Epoxy to mold head, the eyes, front and back logo, as well as the "boots" hand painted everything. Used Gray all surface primer as the first coat. all other paint was done with Acrylic paint.
The most difficult aspect of the entire custom had to of been forming the front logo. It turned out much larger than I had planned. Given it being my first time using Epoxy, I'm happy with the entire Custom.
I did learn how using too much paint causes issues with Articulation. I don't plan on ever parting with this Custom so its not an issue for me.
