![[Rikki Barnes Custom Figure: Nomad-Girl without a W] This is Rikki Barnes, a Girl version of captain America's sidekick Bucky barnes from an alternate reality, who through a strange twist of fate, has found herself in the main reality of the Marvel Universe. In order to avoid confusion, it was suggested that rather than try and resume her role as sidekick to Captain America, she would instead assume the role of Nomad. I, however, much prefer her in her Gal Bucky duds. So here she is!
She was made using a Hellboy Elizabeth Sherman figure as a base. Goggles, boots, Belt buckle, Gloves and Buckles on gloves, and her outfit top were all sculpted. She also, as you can see in the photographs, comes with an alternate hand. One with a Pistol, and one without and here she is, ready to follow Captain America into any battle!!! I'm Crazy about this Gal and she looks Great standing next to my Custom Cap.!](userimages/customs/48000/47694-1.jpg) Rikki Barnes Custom Figure: Nomad-Girl without a W Marvel Selectby Davey BlazeThis is Rikki Barnes, a Girl version of captain America's sidekick Bucky barnes from an alternate reality, who through a strange twist of fate, has fo...24 comments | ![[Red Skull W/ Custom German Sheperds] 1st, I'd like to stress that his uniform is only for character accuracy and is not for ideological purposes. I really wanted to make a Red Skull Custom that was kind of in the vein of the Red Skull Premium Format Figure, but in Marvel Legends Scale. This is a slightly older custom before I moved my standard size up slightly to more Marvel Select scale or larger, so he is slightly small in contrast to my recent Captain America and I hope to make one that matches Cap's scale at some point. I also wanted him to have a bit of the look and vibe of Ralph Fiennes from Schindler's list, so Ozymandias was perfect. He is standing on a custom base of decaying human bones and comes Complete with (original characters) two pet German Sheperds, Hollenhund (Hellhound) and Totenkopf (Death's Head), He also has a Custom Walther P-38 Pistol. ![[Captain America: Classic] Since I posted an older custom (Bishop) using this same base figure, I thought I'd skip ahead chronologically to one of my most recent customs, CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! (In his Classic outfit). This was a major labor of Love, as all of his scaling had to be sculpted. It was hard to narrow down to just six pics of him. There are more on my website daveyblazecustoms as well as other more recent customs.
I removed large chains from the wrists of the base fig., removed knee guards, and a strap that was sculpted into the original chest. Filleds in deep scars that the original figure had, as it wouldn't make sense for Captain A. to have them. His Winged Mask, Scales, Boots, Belt, and Stars on his chest and back are all sculpted. I went for a more modern design on for the mask because I thought it would look cool. I attached a Gun Holster to the inside of his shield for easy access while fighting the Axis! He can still wear the shield on his back (as in the Title pic) and on his arm while the gun](userimages/customs/47500/47431-1.jpg) Captain America: Classic Marvel Selectby Davey BlazeSince I posted an older custom (Bishop) using this same base figure, I thought I'd skip ahead chronologically to one of my most recent customs, CAPTAI...10 comments | ![[Bishop: as Seen in "Cable:Divided We Stand&qu] This is Lucas Bishop as he appears in "Cable: Divided We Stand". A story in which he is convinced that the infant Hope Summers will be the harbinger of a future mutant Holocaust and he ruthlessly hunts her down as she flees through space and time with her sworn protector, Cable. He doesn't have the band across his chest in the comic, but I thought it looked cool and was a good place for a well-placed "X" so I kept it. He was made from a Warlands Shrogran figure. I considered making one without the chest band but used my next Shrogran as a base for a differentcharacterto be added later. I removed his chains from one arm (kept the other, again, because it looked so cool). Sculpted the details of his bio-machanical arm with apoxy, and his "X' Symbols. He also has a removable weapons belt with a knife and grenades that I forgot to photograph and arm tentacles from a Dr.Octopus figure that I thought he looked better without. ![[CABLE: Cable & Toddler Hope Summers] This is Cable as he appears in "Cable:Divided We Stand" and he comes as part of a set with Toddler Hope Summers! These customs were made using Marvel Select Colossus and a Hit-Girl action figures as base figures. Cable's right arm was sanded smooth and covered over with a thin layer of apoxy, with sculpted wrist watch (like he wears in the comic). His chest area was sculpted so that half of his chest and most of his neck are flesh and while the other half has been consumed by his techno-organic virus. His hair is sculpted with apoxy and boot straps sculpted with green stuff. Collar anded trim are sculpted with green stuff to ad small measure of flexibility. Thighs and abdomen recieved some sanding and were sculpted over with apoxy. Boots have been modified to the style of Cable's boots in the comic. Right hand has some sculpting in the hand-glove area. Side-arm holster is sculpted from apoxy and strap was made using a yellow rubber band. Scar and yellow eye were added, gave h](userimages/customs/47500/47377-1.jpg) CABLE: Cable & Toddler Hope Summers Marvel Selectby Davey BlazeThis is Cable as he appears in "Cable:Divided We Stand" and he comes as part of a set with Toddler Hope Summers! ![[Tank-Girl & Booga: BOOGA!!!] Here we have Custom BOOGA! Tank-Girl's Loving Mutant kangaroo boyfriend. Another older custom, but I have a soft spot for this fella on account of we have the same Ramones Tee-Shirt. He was made using a Devilman figure for the body and the head (resculpted somewhat) and tail from a figure from the movie "Warriors of Virtue". His suspenders were from a chubby Joker clown-Thug that I think was from the Arkham Asylum toy line. The Jacket was made from a fodder professor X Suit Jacket. Sculpted his mohawk, fringe on the jacket was cut pieces from the same jacket. Sculpted his Ramones Tee-Shirt and really wanted it to look real and grungy and dirty. Gave him a Punk-Rock paint job on the pants and painted him up with Citadel paints. Sealed him with matte sealer and pierced his ear and gave him real metal earings, though they are glued in for stability. Sculpted the shades and I think that's about it! Her Boyfriend Booga came soon after. I've seen waaay better Tank-Girl's on here and may have to try this again sometime, but this Tank is made from a DC Hush Catwoman. I removed her ears and sanded and sculpted away any of her original costume minus the boots and choker. Sculpted the shirt and shorts out of Green stuff (had not yet discovered apoxy). Made her stockings out of Girls socks :) Sculpted her knee pads out of green stuff. Made the baseball bat by butting an old paintbrush, sculpted the end and cut the tip off of a nail and put it through it. Sculpted her hair, band aid (on forehead) and bow. Added an elastic strap to Catwomans goggles so they could be moved around on the head and neck. Used some dog-tag chain to make her necklace and sculpted the gloves, then gave it a paint job with citadel paints and sealed her with a matte finish and here she is, rough and tumble! ![[Dazzler] This is a Custom Dazzler, of The X-Men (and her own solo series) in her 70's duds that I made for a friend. It was one of my 1st customs, so some of the sculpting was still a little chunky, mainly on the forearms and wish I could fix it up, but oh wells. It was made using a Marvel Select Black Cat as the base figure. I cut off the furry fringe from her costume and sanded down those areas (though, as previously stated, not enough on the forearms). Cut and resculpted the arms so they were a little more outward and pointing out. Added her arm and wrist jewelry and sculpted her bells and collar with Green stuff (this was before I discovered apoxy). The skates really roll. They were sculpted and the wheels came from some tiny skateboards that were the happy meal toys at the time. Added glitter to her skates and wristbands. Made a little disco ball out of green stuff. Added glitter and a gold chain for it that came from the base figure. I think she had a large diamond on it originally. It is Archangel, based on the cover of X-Factor # 58 ("The vampire Issue").Unsure of what the base figure was, as it was a gift, but my brother thinks it's name was a synonym of "Leech". He kind of looked like a burn victim, with no eyes and not much of a mout. Dremeled in the eye sockets and mouth. Sculpted eyes and teeth. Sanded down "burney, wrinkly" texture of skin and sculpted mask and some outfit details. Wings are made of real metal. Some edges are lined with Green stuff to reduce the possibility of him actually slicing you.
