![[Beast; X-Men First Class] Adding Beast to my X-Men First Class team.
The base figure was a wolfman I found in my nephew's toybox. I cut down his tattered slacks and smoothed out his upper arms (for sleeves) Then I molded his entire vest/belts/buckles, as well as the piping for his sleeves. For the vest I used an Xacto knife for all the little side ridges, and the handle of the knife for the vest's texture. There was a little carving done to his face-mainly around the eyes and upper lip.
Painted the face and fur with a very light blue, then went back and dry brushed with a darker blue. Painted the upper lip details, eyebrows, eyes, and nose with a toothpick. Then painted the vest yellow, belts black and silver, and the uniform in two different blues for movie accuracy. The only articulation I lost was in the chest, but other than that, he's fully functional. This time we have Storm from the ToyBiz ML line. I LOVE this figure, but it just needed a little pop. The gold on her uniform was almost non existent and some of the blue airbrushing over the black was a bit much. First, I painted her boots a gloss black so they looked like a different material than her clothes. Then I went over the gold with the same yellow I've been using on all of my X-Men so she looked a little more comicbook like. Gave her a belt, and added yellow trim to her shoulder pads and cape, as well as silver on her boot buckles, and a more vibrant red on her Xs. I also repainted her hair, as there was some light blue in the original. I covered the whole hair piece in a light grey, then gently wiped clean before drybrushing with white. Lastly, I redid her eyes with a brighter white and some black eyeliner to pop. For the accessories I just used some Star Wars lightening pieces, and a little fun on my art app.

![[Emma Frost; X-Men First Class] Haven't added any characters to my First Class collection in a while, and I'm very happy to bring you Emma Frost aka the White Queen, as seen in the movie X-Men First Class.
This was actually my favorite costume of hers in the movie, and I was very lucky to come across the ML Mystique, as I found it to be the perfect base.
RECIPE- So first I cut off the belt that came with the figure and molded a new one. Then I remove the head and painted the clothing in a high-gloss enamel white. Once that was dry, I added the silver to her belt buckle and zippers.
For her skin I used a matte flesh tone (couple of coats to cover that blue). Then repainted her face using the tip of a safety pin. Her hair was painted a mustard color first, then I dry-brushed with a light yellow/tan/white mix, and then a third (very light) dry brush of white with a touch of yellow.
I added a before and after shot, as well as a "fun diamond form" shot.

So this lab is inspired by the BSG Razor flashbacks as well as Blood & Chrome. During the first Cylon War, the Cylons started using human DNA and parts to try and create humanoid Cylons and Hybrids. This is a representation of what one of those labs would look like. The main table features a Hybrid, while there are numerous human and centurion parts "hanging" around.
Recipe- This was quite the hodge-podge. The walls are from a WWE ring, the table was an iphone box painted silver, the head tubes are pill bottles with extra caps painted silver, and the floor is cardboard painted and drawn on. The human and cylon parts in the background are from the BSG line to show that this is in scale. So this was a complete repaint. First I sanded down the ribbing on the legs and some of the boot details. I repainted the dull grey/black uniform with a glossy blue-based black to look more true to comic. Then I repainted the almost transparent yellow with a more vibrant yellow (same as I did for Wolverine), and also added the yellow piping on her collar and boots that were missing from the original figure. For the head I painted the hair a richer brown, then dry-brushed with a lighter brown for highlights; the face was redone to be less shiny, with better eyebrows and eyelashes so she didn't look sooooo dead?

It's loosely based on the museums seen aboard the Galactica, and on Caprica throughout the series Battlestar Galactica. This museum features four different sections related to the history of the planet Caprica.
There is the Cylon War exhibit- showing a lifesize cylon centurion, weapons used by the cylons, miniatures of a cylon raider as well as a colonial viper (all with specs and info about the ships). There are also diagrams of a cylon basestar and the internal workings of a centurion, as well as the famous painting of the Cylon War (seen in Adama's quarters in BSG).
Then there is "From Kobol to Caprica"- which features artwork and artifacts thought to have been brought to Caprica from their ancestors planet of Kobol. There is a painting of the prophet Pythia (with a strong resemblance to Roslin), a painting of the 12 Lords of Kobol, the ancient scrolls, a sculpture of Artemis, and the famous Arrow of Apollo.

![[Combat Elite Cylon (Original Concept)] I couldn't decide which of my cylon concepts I liked more, so I decided to put them both up.
This is the C.E.C. centurion (combat elite cylon). Similar to the Heavy Artillery Cylon concept, this centurion features a heavier armor and rifle holsters on each hip. Unlike its four-armed counterpart, it is less bulky, allowing for faster and more agile movement. It's closer in design to the standard centurion, and is designed for ground combat on the colonies. My idea is that these centurions would be the front line during the attack, dozing through the enemy lines and forming an opening for other models to infiltrate (Much like I imagine the purpose for the BSG Razor commanders vs. regular centurions/pilots).
The recipe is similar to my other design. I took a Lost in Space robot apart and spray painted silver. Then took off the legs, arms, and head of a cylon centurion. For the recipe, I was going to sculpt everything from scratch, but was lucky enough to find a robot from the re-imagined Lost in Space. I took it completely apart and spray painted it silver. Then, using hot water, took a cylon centurion apart to keep all articulation. I pieced together the new body using glue, some molding, and a little patience.
