I wanted LED lights to give this memorial a ghostly effect, so I used two "Halo" Cortana bases The memorial can be lit from both the top and the bottom (although it is pictured only lit from the top). I used a glass candle guard for the clear cylinder. The cap and floor bases are made of foam core and painted in hammered metal finish. I really tried to get the effect that the mask, gloves, and outfit were encased as if they were floating. I have decided to use a modular approach for the Batcave so each station will be made separately. First and foremost on my todo list was the Batcomputer. I honestly can't remember where most of the parts come from exactly, but it is a combination of Marvel Legends, McFarlane, Mezco, DC Direct, and even the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel series. All of the computer monitors are made out of cardboard and CD covers. Although the Bat symbol is on each monitor's wallpaper, they are all made like a pocket so that different screens can be interchanged. I replaced that with a DCUC black Superman upper torso. I wanted Frankie here to have the right to bare arms as well as bear arms, so I used a couple of DCUC Hawkman arms and used some wrestling figure shoulder pad parts as the short sleeves. I was never a fan of the white gloves and boots, and I wanted a really monotone Black on Black look, so I kept the "biker style" boots from the original ML Punisher, but painted them with glossy black Krylon fusion. One of my favorite scenes from the movie is where Gordon is revealed as the mysterious van driver, then he trains a shotgun on the Joker just before he can get his paws on an unconscious Batman. I was totally surprised, I remember that I kept thinking the van driver had to be one of Joker's thugs. My goal was to pay homage to some of my favorite Marvel era Conan artists, namely Ernie Chan, Alfredo Alcala, Pablo Marcos, and of course the late John Buscema. I never really liked the "fur diaper" and I never thought that the plain, golden armband that magically stayed in the middle of Conan's bicep was practical or had any feasible use or purpose. Nevertheless, this is the way Marvel depicted Conan for the majority of their run, so I included them here.
