![[Batman] Hello again! This guy was a Batman from the Batman-Joker two-pack released in 2003 (it might still be at a few Big Lots). He was a quick five minute job while I waited for the paint on his big brother to dry. I simply painted his trunks on with Sharpie. No sculpting, no painting, no part-swapping, just an easy cheesy custom. If I don't submit a custom for another 4 months, come find me and slap me silly.](userimages/customs/11000/10585-1.jpg) Batman Batman Animatedby Tom-TomHello again! It's been a while since my last custom, so here's my latest, fresh off the sweat shops!
All joking aside, I've actually had this guy done for a while now, but I haven't been able to take pics. Anyway, this figure used to be my first custom Batman (and first custom...), but I wanted more range in the hips, and a more JLU look. So, I gave him the belt and cape from a DCSH 1 Batman (thanks to my buddy Poe Ghostal for that figure). I repainted the outside of the cape the same black as my custom, though kept the inside blue for that animated look. Thanks for looking!

I call him Mr. Roboto. shame I didn't think of him in time for Figure Realm's "Ostentatious Originals" contest. ah well. so without further ado:
Body: 9" Iron Spider-Man (costume removed)
Repainted with black base, 50% white, 30% light blue, 20% black drybrush.
also, I decided to touch up my batman (his eyes was some black accidentally on there) and, yes I know I missed some spots, ill fix it tomorrow, I just really wanted to get your guy's reactions.](userimages/customs/8000/7860-1.jpg) Mr. Roboto (blue) Originalby Tom-TomI got bored today, so I decided to take my 9" ML Signature Series (the MEGO rip offs) Iron Spider-Man, cut off his costume (well, most of it, the...1 comments |
![[Ultimate Iron Man v.2] Passing time trying to find my black Sharpie for my latest Symbiote Spidey, I took my silver one and covered all the gray on Iron Man, including bending all the joints and reversing the hip joint to get both sides.
A word of notice to anyone who wants to do this: when you get done covering the gray, seal him up like no other. Why? Well for starters, he stinks like a beach now, and he's sticky as all hell. This may be the reason I finally get a sealant. Also, the Sharpie wears of pretty quickly (I gotta wonder why the black isnt doing that on Spidey). It gives a sort of a worn look which I like.
So, one silver Sharpie, a case of carpal tunnel and an hour and a half later, I got an Iron Man worth the highest shelf. Thanks goes out to Kyle Robinson, who inspired me with his custom.](userimages/customs/7000/6816-1.jpg) Ultimate Iron Man v.2 Avengersby Tom-TomPassing time trying to find my black Sharpie for my latest Symbiote Spidey, I took my silver one and covered all the gray on Iron Man, including bendi...2 comments | ![[Symbiote Spider-Man v.2] Remember when I said I'd get this guy all Sharpied up? Well, I lied (well, I changed my plans, but that's not as fun to say). I decided to just paint the entire logo, and use a black Sharpie to separate the legs. It turned out pretty well.
For the pics, I decided to do something different. I used poses based on other customizer's Symbiotes. They are (in order):
1. Jin's first symbiote (the one made from a fearsome Foes Spider-Man)
2. Illchard's second comic based Symbiote

![[Iron Man (Ultimate)] Not really anything paint wise here (except the head), I just popped the ankles off, took some nail clippers and clipped the plastic blocking the range of motion. I then sliced off the rocket pod (or whatever the hell they're called). After that, I repainted the face (sans eyes, I suck at those) to look less Asian. It turned out well, but I think my paint was too thick.

Now before anyone gets on my case about the silver, let me say that logo is a b!tch to make. After many failed attempts, I decided to just use a silver Sharpie. It turned out as well as it could, imo. While waiting for the pictures to load on my Photobucket, I took a black Sharpie and ran it acroos the entire figure, being sure not to get any of the silver parts.
