![[Blade] Here is my fine new Blade custom - finally!
I finished it several weeks ago, but I've had a lot of problems taking pictures lately; my camera died and even with three lamps directed exactly at the figure, the pictures still come out dark and foggy and whatever. So I had to clean the pictures up a lot in Photoshop, adjusting levels, brightness and colors and stuff to make the pictures best represent the figure as it looks IRL.
I made a Blade custom last year (picture below next to WIP picture) but as my customs got better and better, that one just wasn't good enough.
This Blade started out as an update of that custom, but I ended up using none of the same parts.
I decided to go with the "Nightstalkers" outfit again. I'd like to make "Classic Blade" and "Modern Blade" too at some point if I have time and parts...

I decided to go with the look she sported during her first appearances, because it's a cool and pretty mysterious outfit.

I obviously had to modify the arms quite a bit, and sculpt all over them, but it was fun, and I gave her one hand from Prof. X and one from a hobbit.
Sculpted the hat, hair, headscarf, and the chest, and I made the lower part of the dress out of paper.

I took a Sinister Six Spider-Man and gave him a pair of arms from another of the same figure, and a pair of arms from some other Spider-Man.
Drilled holes to insert them and then used some Apoixe Sculpt to make sure they didn't fall out.
I cut off the lower jaw to make an open mouth, but came up with the idea of attaching it to the neck instead of the head so he could open and close the mouth. It worked pretty well.
Sculpting the fingers was the hardest part. It's wasn't really hard, but it took some time and wasn't fun, but I was very happy once it was done.

I used the body a Green Goblin because it looks a lot like Cobra. I needed to switch out the lower- arms and legs, and since I wanted to use them for the Carrion I'm making out of a Mr Fantastic, Cobra got his feet and part of his arm, but I kept the GG hands.
The head is also from Mr Fantastic. I don't know itf it was a very good choise, but I picked it because I had one, and Cobra looks like it on a reference picture.
I used the hood from a movie Dr Doom that I dremeled down a lot.

Yes, I know that he is a Captain America villain, not a Spider-Man villain, but he is still very much an enemy of Spider-Man, you know, with being responsible for the deaths of Peter Parker's parents and all, and he's also appeared in most Spidey cartoons.
There are a lot of Red Skulls being submitted here, and I didn't think I'd make one, since I already had the FO version, but he just looked like a little weird henchman in that armor, not like an important Big Bad, so I decided that in order for Red Skull to earn a spot on my Spider-Man shelf, he had to be customized.
I used Longshot as a base. Had to dremel away a lot of his chest and shorten his neck before sculpting on the suit. I again used fabric for the lower part of the jacket, and I'm not too pleased with that. I think I'm going to start using thin sheets of FIXIT Sculpt for that sort of thing in the future, you'll see on some upcoming customs I'm working on.

![[Hammerhead] Hello! Here's the first figure of my third wave of Spider-Man customs: Hammerhead!
I got this Rocky figure from ratboy, which I'm very greatful for, because though, I had no idea what to use it for at first, once I got the idea of making Hammerhead, it was great. I looked through lots of heads, considering different Hulks, but then realixed that Bishop actually has a bit of the same look as Hammerhead does, so I used that.
I hadn't used sculpey in a while, so I sculpted some stuff with it, and some with FIXIT Sculpt. And I used fabric for the jacket.
I knew painting a striped suit would be a lot of work, so I went with the purple one instead, which came out almost pink, but I think it's cool.
I'm not perfectly happy with the face though, I should have made a smaller nose for example, and the lips too...
It's funny, BYGTOPP, made a Hammerhead recently using the head from the same Rocky figure I used the body from.
Overall, I think it's a pretty cool figure. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/4000/3625-1.jpg) Hammerhead Spider-Manby LWesHello! Here's the first figure of my third wave of Spider-Man customs: Hammerhead!

I used the torso of a Movie Hulk, the head, arms and crotch from Beast and the legs from Bishop.
I sculpted the hair, nose, belt, fly and four of the fingers (they were missing when I got the figure)
It was a really long process. The WIP picture is from February!
I painted the figure and I think it just looks great!
I made the vest with some almost leather-like fabric.
I’m really happy with this figure and its likeness. The pictures don’t do it justice!
Of course I'll make the other carnies too! Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/3500/3184-1.jpg) Kody |
