Not super complicated. Mostly a Strike Team Wolverine with a different head and some added heigth and a slew of accesories!

![[Strong Guy] So... I'm a big X Factor and Strong Guy fan. Big surprise right? Well, after seeing a couple of others post their versions of guido, I decided to stop putting it off and just finish the darn figure. He's a bit ridiculous, but I kinda like that about him. This guy took a lot of trial and error to put together. What do you think?
Recipe-
Head- bald joker squad guy with Henry Jones glasses
Torso- Legends Logan (Days of Future Past version)
Arms- He-Man (2002 series)
Hands- Remy (SOTA Street Fighter)
Legs- Hellboy
I had to dremel the torso the armpits of the torso to get the arms to fit, and replace the neck peg with a neck ball (which I dremelled, nailed, and glued into place) for the head. He's been totally repainted, and although it doesn't show up well in pics, he's wearing a dark purple (not black) shirt. His head kinda reminds me of Vin Diesel's character from Pitch Black.](userimages/customs/24000/23908-1.jpg) Strong Guy Marvel Universeby guido_vcggaSo... I'm a big X Factor and Strong Guy fan. ![[Cable] This is most definitely 1 of my favorite characters. Even if his time travelling antics give me a headache.
Torso, left arm, ankles- Titanium Man
Head- Resolute Duke
Right upper arm- XMOW Modern Sabretooth
Right lower arm- Punisher
Upper legs- XMOW Movie Sabretooth
Knees/ kneepads- Showdown Thor
Feet- XMOW Modern Sabretooth
A lot of time was spent modifying parts and repainting this guy, and I'm pleased with what came out. I was concerned that he'd come out too tall (Titanium Man is large compared to most MUs), but with the parts that were used for his upper legs and feet, he's just a little taller than the biggish guys like Luke Cage and the Wrecking Crew.](userimages/customs/24000/23854-1.jpg) Cable Marvel Universeby guido_vcggaThis is most definitely 1 of my favorite characters. I prefered for my version to be taller and thinner than the typical comic Wolverine, so I went with a movie incarnation of Logan instead. I'm a huge fan of the last Iron Fist series that was out, so I appreciated that MU came out with both versions of the dragons that Danny Rand and Orson Randall had on their costumes. ![[Cyber] After long delay, I finally have a Cyber for my Wolverine to fight. I saw Shiky300's movie-style Cyber and decided to give my own a whirl. I used an X-Men Juggernaut head (It screams "ugly bruiser", and the lines blend well with the rest of the figure's costume details. I sculpted his head and neck a bit, cut off his X symbol, and completely painted his costume. I like how it came out, even if he does look a bit like a metal-armed Gimp (think Pulp Fiction). :) I have some ideas I may still try out on him...](userimages/customs/9000/8663-1.jpg) Cyber Marvel Legendsby guido_vcggaAfter long delay, I finally have a Cyber for my Wolverine to fight. Now, I know what you're thinking, and you're right- he does seem like more of a regular-fit than a skinny-fit, but just the same, here he is. Heh. I wanted to keep him in the same proportions as the original Spider-Man figure, so here's the parts I used to make that possible.
Head- Peter Parker Spider-Man
Torso- McFarlane-style Spider-Man
Jacket- X-Men Cyclops (Civvies)
Arms- X-Men Evolution Logan
Legs- Patriot
Calves & feet- X-Men 2 Wolverine
I had to modify some of the joints to get things to fit together. Really, that was the hardest part. Other than that, I should probably tell you that this figure dyed a lot. I dyed the jacket, the upper arms, and the legs (after painting his calves).
I like how everything came together. Enjoy!](userimages/customs/5500/5316-1.jpg) Peter Parker Marvel Legendsby guido_vcggaI decided that it's about time for Peter Parker to make an appearance to my Spider-Man collection. Now, I know what you're thinking, and you're right...1 comments |
![[Mini-Sentinel (Showdown Scale)] Living in the land of killer robots, I knew I needed to make my own. I certainly have fodder enough around me. When I saw Microman's Cyborg Superman, I knew there was a sentinel in the making. This has been a fun project. Other than cutting, filing, some burrowing (to fit the chest piece on), and a flashy paint job, this was a pretty simple custom.
I wanted a sentinel that was close to the same size as the mutants it would hunt. Yes, I know the comics don't really have these guys- but the video games do! As for its appearance, its inspired by both the Sentinel O.N.E. designs and the 16" sentinel paint job.
Like the rest of my Microman customs, it comes with plenty of interchangeable parts. It comes with many removable parts (including a removable face!), and various weapons that can be inserted into its hands. The unused weapons can all be stored on its backpack. Oh! I almost forgot- all of this guy's fingers (sans the thumb) are posable. That's a big deal for a f](userimages/customs/4000/3690-1.jpg) Mini-Sentinel (Showdown Scale) | ![[Showdown Logan] Why do so many of us love the shirtless Wolvie? I don't know. But I do know that I wouldn't be happy without one. I wanted several things out of this figure: I wanted him to be shorter than the average Showdown and Microman figure, I wanted removable claws, and I wanted him to look goood. Mission accomplished!
I used the lower half of Microman Batman Begins figure, which joined with the upper half of Ramen Man, gave me a much shorter figure and, really, a nice base to build on. I then burrowed a hole into the head of an Ultimate Wolverine figurine, popped it on, refigured the hands of Microman Warsman, and combined the Wolverine figurine claws with Warsman removable set. After painting and modifying some of the details, this lil' guy was ready for a brawl.
By the way, I couldn't decide if I wanted a shirtless New X-Men Wolverine, or a shirtless Ultimate Wolverine, so I just combined the two. That basically just makes him a New X-Men Wolverine with a goatee. :)](userimages/customs/4000/3688-1.jpg) Showdown Logan |

Like most things in Japan, I found the PVC Phoenix figurine I used the head of, and the Hitomi figure both by chance. ![[Iron Man (Showdown)] Hello all. Before I start, let me just say that I'm glad to finally be submitting a figure to this site instead of just admiring all of the work by the excellent customizers featured here. Okay, now I can move on.
So, I moved to Japan 3 mths ago and I thought, "Well, I guess I'll just have to give up customizing now." Little did I know what a bounty of customization opportunities would await me. One such oppurtunity presented itself when I saw that a Toys "R" Us here had clearanced all of its magnetic Microman toys, which curiousity demanded for me to snag a couple of. It turns out that Microman figures are in the same scale as Showdown figures, so I started tinkering.
Now I have to say, I've been wanting a decent Iron Man for a while now. I mean, he's one of the best villains out there right now. I liked the idea of Iron Man's modular armor (with addable parts like the old toys) from over a decade ago, and the mechanical look of these Microman figures, so](userimages/customs/3500/3073-1.jpg) Iron Man (Showdown) | |
