I ended up with an impressive roster of figures based off of the videogame designs not to mention quite a few commission requests to 'fix' the Arkham City Batman from the two-pack with Two-Face. I'll start with the first ones I did: Batman and Two-Face.
Most noticeable was the 'arm mod' allowing him to bring his arms closer to his body and taking out some of the extra height so he could fit in easier with the other figures. I had quite a few Batmen sent to me for these mods as well as repaints and fabric capes but eventually, to keep in simple, I chose only to do repaints and capes.](userimages/customs/46000/45832-1.jpg) Arkham City Batman |

His entire body was sculpted over giving him the texture and muscle lines that his suit had in the comics at some point. There are two heads, one with teeth, again like his design in the comics at the time and another classic look. I knew that I would have to the fabric route with his cape and there was a lot of folding, crimping, and gluing to get it right. It's actually made up of four sections. It was for a fan of the series who I knew would appreciate all the little details, as I would. For those of you who are familiar with the story, this is the Roland who has reached the Dark Tower. I based his look off of the description in the last book and the picture on the hardcover dust jacket where he's in the field of roses.
I started with the head because if I couldn't get that right, then there was no point in continuing. I didn't have an extra head that would work so I finally decided to try my hand at sculpting a face. So I took the ridiculous Punisher head and sculpted from the eyes down. It looked gritty enough and I knew I had to have the squinty eyed look but that was all in painting the eyebrows.
The outfit is all cloth and I sculpted the holster, straps, and belt out of Green Stuff. I also removed his fingers and sculpted bandages over them. ![[Cobra Commander] This one was another quickie with the majority of the work being repainting the base fig and adding the cobra symbols. I was gonna do an all cloth Cobra Commander at first, and still might, but I didn't want this body to go to waste. So to make up for that I made the hood out of cloth and a little bit of sculpt around the eyes to get the eye holes right.
In no way am I starting a G.I. Joe 'block' here or anything, as some customizers tend to do, there are just too many cool characters. I always liked Cobra commander and his costume design, this figure being based off of the Sideshow version more than anything. The only other character I plan on doing is an all cloth Storm Shadow based on the movie costume design.

I always liked the future scenes that are shown in each movie and the dark and gritty atmosphere they convey.
This custom in particular was inspired by Kyle Reese's flashback in T1 where the Terminator infiltrates the Tech Com Bunker and starts killing everyone. I thought it was cool how that stuff happened all the time and humans had to constantly be on guard once the T-800s went online. We haven't seen any more of that kind of thing in the movies yet, but hopefully we will.
I started off with the McF toys Endoskeleton and started building out from there. Because mine was broken and in so many different pieces, I ended up gluing most of the joints together. While some still move, it's more of a statue now than an 'action figure'. I knew I wanted it to be battle damaged and for most of the machine parts to be visible as well. ![[Rorschach] Wow it's been a while and this latest project was supposed to be quick but as always, I had trouble with the very last bits. In this case it was the hat, I couldn't match the sculpt to the movie one, then it wouldn't fit. But I finally finished.
The base is a MM Joker with a full cloth costume, including the mask which I thought was necessary and was the first thing I did actually. I walked out of the theater after seeing the movie for the nth time and though:"a Rorschach with a cloth mask needs to be made, well, I guess I'll do it." I also painted the inkblots in sort of a watercolor method to get that specific look.
Since the hands on this figure suck(coincidentally however, they are the same glove design as in the movie) , I was limited for choice of accessories. I wanted his grapple gun but he wouldn't be able to hold it. I was also going to make the Comedian's button, but I lacked the strength(maybe later) so I settled on one of his 'calling cards.'

And because of the lack of warhammer customs out there, I'm focusing on the 40k universe. There are so many cool characters to choose from and I think they really put my skills to the test.
I decided on a Necron because I had a couple Judge Deaths lying around and the skeletal frame really suits it. More specifically a Lord because they are more visually appealing. On the distant horizon will be some space marines(and chaos) but, I haven't figured out a way to do the armor with minimal sculpting. That, and they're so freaking massive to begin with. So for now I'm focusing on human sized and shaped characters(since I already have the bodies lined up). So in the vein of 40k I plan on some Eldar, Imperial Guard maybe, and perhaps some tau Fire Warriors.

![[Movie Two Face] I really wanted a Two face to go with my movie masters so this is what I came up with. A lot of planning and care went into this one to make it as accurate as possible. I know it isn't 100% accurate in terms of anatomy and or appearance but I think I got pretty close.
For the head I used a ML Ronin which I sanded off the hair and entire left side of the face. Filled the bottom with sculpt and drilled a new hole to accommodate the Goon body's ball joint neck. Used the dremmel to make a rough bone structure and then sculpted the teeth and all that burnt mess. Also re sculpted some of the right forehead and new hair and a bit of burnt skin on the neck.
Hands are from MM scarecrow. Coin was ball of FIXIT smashed to make a disc and painted.
Tie was from some cape cut to shape and then painted(Not too happy with it but w/e)
