![[Hawkeye] I think that the biggest blunder Toy Biz made was Hawkeye. That figure was TERRIBLE!
So, I needed new hands to hold his bow which seems designed to be un holdable, and new legs all together because he fell down like a drunk on a funhouse ride.
I used the heands from Cyclops and just straight swapped them out, and the lower torso from Captain Marvel. I had to saw their torsos apart with the dremel and used a dowell to glue the torso peg from Hawkeye to Marvel's hips. There's a rubber band in there under the belt and loincloth to tighten up the waist. Then I mixed a bit of purple into some blue and finished it up with Citadel color.
It's not fancy but it takes Hawkeye from the junk heap back to the display shelf.

I started by painting it completely silver and coating it in red and yellow ink all from Citadel. Then, I sanded the features down off of the helmet and sculpted the new face out of Aves Epoxie. I filled in the chest plates gap with epoxie after I'd sanded down the corners so they didn't stick off of his chest so far. Then, sculpted his chest emblem circle and painted it all as mentioned. I have two other helmets too, so I may attempt to sculpt a more modern helmet. I'm also thinking I may try and ball joint his neck and use an Iron Man movie fig for a new head altogether.
Just for kicks, I painted the Batman head under the mask Iron Man colors. I dunno. If I can get one in good shape I may scalp a Stark face and slap it in there.

![[Superboy Prime Sinestro Corps] Sorry bout the pictures, I got lazy. Anyway.
Lots of sanding down, basically. I popped the shoulder pad deal off, ditched the cape and sanded down the yellow piping. Then, sanded his chest to get rid of the shield. Painted it all black, sculpted on the piping, painted it white then yellow, printed the logos and glued 'em on.
Not too hard, I must say.

Head- Batman And Son Joker
Body- GL rebirth Hal
Hands- That creepy guy from Sin City that Elija Wood played. I think it's a McFarlane figure.
I cut off the fingernails and sanded down the cuffs of the shirt, swapped the hand pegs for the ones off of the Hal body, painted the Joker head and painted the hands and gloves on his arms flat white. Then, I spent the morning sculpting tiny tiny GL rings and gluing them on.
This is my favorite comic book cover ever so I'm pretty dang happy with this figure!

![[Sinestro Corps Sinestro] Okay: This figure broke the second I opened it. His wrist broke off the peg and the right elbow was half jointed so I hadta fix that all up. Then, I painted it black and sculpted the seams, wristbands and belt out of apoxie, painted it white where it would be yellow then slapped yellow all over it. Printed up the logos and glued 'em on and called it a day.

Then, painted everything, did the bands and visor out of apoxie and sanded them down to shape a bit and made the pouches out of sculpy. I painted all that yellow and glued the pouches on and bam! I'm not crazy about the base figure so I may very well do this again when I find a better base.

![[Astonishing Cyclops] Okay:
Took Bullseye's calves down and forearms down and attached them to Cyce's arms and thighs then painted the whole affair midnight blue from Citadel, which I feel ended up being too dark, but hey. So then, sculpted the piping belt and X symbol and got busy with the yellow paint. Silver on the visor, and ta-daa, Astonishing Cyclops.

I painted the whole figure silver after shaving down his belt, wrist and shin cuffs. Then, I sculpted the gauntlets and bracers and the chest spider out of epoxie and painted that silver. Then, I went to town with red and yellow Citadel Color ink, which was a pain to apply but worked out okay.

![[Luke Cage] This one was harder than it needed to be...
The head and hands are the JAKKS wrestler and the rest is the ToyBiz. Sorry I forgot their names. Anyway, the wrists and head are rare earth magnet-ed on, after I tried wood dowels that didn't work. I had to swap the forearms after I glued the magnets in with reverse polarity for the right wrist! Anyway, then just paint and the cage chain out of epoxy and bam!](userimages/customs/6000/5534-1.jpg) Luke Cage Marvel Legendsby solorioThis one was harder than it needed to be...

This one was a step up from the Hal Jordan I did. I shaved off the hair and nose and sculpted the head. Kept the eyes visible. Then, just painted it red. The tricky stuff was the sculpting, for which I used Aves Epoxy Sculpt. I'm still not sue it's strictly better than sculpey but it definitely cures easier.
Then, just slapped the black on 'I'm with the white highlights and called it a day!

![[Jim Lee Rouge] Seen this mod on here before but had the idea all on my own even earlier so I went on ahead. The biggest work was on the legs, making her highwaters and sneakers into seamless boots, then adding sculpey boot tops and bands. I boiled the sculpey which worked really well. The rest was a straightforward repaint with a little alteration to the nose. The belt is from the Legendary Heroes Star fig, who'se getting turned into Spidey. Hard to tell at all but I attempted a wash in the hair and a drybrush on the jacket.
Not bad for try number two.

I started simple and popped the hands and feet off, painted the body matte black and the head matte white to get past the shiney skin underneath. The rest is re- and re-applying the paint.
