![[SUPERMAN - George Reeves] Hey all...I'm guessing FitzJedi is gonna LOVE this one! Made him using a DCUC First Appearance Batman to avoid any paint rub and modified a DCUC Lightray head since it had the smiley face. Basically sculpted all the costume details over the existinig body and added the folds and designs. He's still fully articulated and the paint is good and sealed. Oh yeah, the cape actually came from a Movie Masters Batman. I chose it because George didn't have a big flowing cape, just a straight down cape and this one worked perfectly. thanks for looking. This is a 7-inch statue/figure...I guess it could be a "staction figure". Made from a NECA Dolph Lundgren Drago figure with a wrestler's head that was re-sculpted and the ENTIRE surface of the suit has been sculpted, again using my ball stylus and sewing needle tools. I think this time, I got REALLY close to total accuracy in terms of sculpt and paint colors. The upper portion of the cape is sculpted while the cape itself is cloth.
Other than the head, there is NO poseability, but the head tilts left, right, up, and down, and of course it rotates too so you can kinda pose him in a variety of looks/positions. He'll be on eBay by the end of today.

![[HE-MAN(Dolph Lundgren)] ***Uploaded new better pics
What can I say? I started this figure over a year ago and just got around to finishing it. Why so long? Well, a bit of engineering went into it. You see, I wanted this to be a fully articulated version of Dolph Lundgren, not just a stand-in-one-upright-position figure (statue). When DCUC came out with Samurai, I knew I had my base!
Getting high quality images of the costume details was difficult but I finally managed to do so. Sculpting these details in a way that didn't hinder the articulation was another task all in itself. I sculpted the shoulder pads in the following way:
- put tape onto the shoulder areas and sculpted the pads with Apoxie Sculpt
- removed them once they cured and then painted them
Once that was done, I had to figure out a way to attach them to the upper BACK of the figure so when the arms are raised, they raise up too. So they are totally separate from the shoulders. This method helped me figure out how to make the shoulder pauldron](userimages/customs/48500/48202-1.jpg) HE-MAN(Dolph Lundgren) | ![[MAN of STEEL - Henry Cavill] WOW! It's been a long time since I posted anything new, but I have some stuff that's almost finished that I should be able to show soon (Move Masters Dolph Lundgren as He-Man anyone?). So here is my second MOS Cavill figure using the HML Constrictor body which is just perfect for this suit! The sculpting is once again taken up a notch and this time the paint details are taken up too, to reflect the semi-shiny look of the actual suit. I also tried to capture the true essence of the reds and yellows. He has lost NO articulation at all. The cape top at the shoulders is sculpted over a cloth cape that is glued in place. Not 100% happy with it (wish it had more folds), but overall, I think it works.
I also sculpted a nice display base for him by sculpting the "S" onto a clear cd case with the cd silver side up. Thought that would look nice for it. The "S" is actually removable too, so whoever ends up with it can pull it off if they want and just stand the figure on the](userimages/customs/48500/48182-1.jpg) MAN of STEEL - Henry Cavill Movie Mastersby matthancockWOW! ![[Scarlet Spider] Hey - Been awhile since I posted anything, but here's a custom that isn't Superman or Batman-related, so it's a little change of pace. No worries though, got some MAN OF STEEL figures and statues coming really soon! A pretty simple recipe...DCUC Mercury with a bunch of sculpting. I chose this base so there wouldn't be any paint rub on the joints and it worked out really well. Been awhile since I did a Marvel character but always thought this was an interesting look.

Used a ML Constrictor as a base so the joints have absolutely NO rub as they are the exact same color as the paints I used for the suit! I basically sculpted the entire surface of the suit and textured it with my ball stylus. Everything has texture, even the gold parts of the belt and even the belt buckle itself.
The head was a third attempt to sculpt one from scratch. Cavill has a difficult likeness to capture, but this is pretty close in my opinion. The photos' filter is made to look like the footage from Comic Con. With no touch ups, the suit color is navy, the reds are normal bright, and the "yellow" parts are gold.
On the cape, I went with a cloth one but sculpted the area where the cape attaches to the shoulders. It's something I've seen GeekSummit do with good results and to be more accurate.

![[SUPERMAN: MAN of STEEL Henry Cavill] In December, a customer asked me to sculpt a 1/6 scale Henry Cavill MAN OF STEEL statue. This was right after I posted my first Henry Cavill Superman figure here and at SuperHeroHype. At the time, the only pics of the suit were the dark set pic at the bank vault and the spy pics from the set. I used a Marvel Icons Human Torch figure and literally sculpted over the entire surface after I immobilized the joints. The entire suit was textured after I sculpted it with a Super Sculpey and Apoxie Sculpt. I've done over 300 custom figures and this is by far the BEST one I've ever done...and the most challenging. The cape is sewn cloth.
Another requirement for the statue is that it would hover/float above the custom base I made. The base is a 3 inch tall wooden pentagon that is topped with a ceramic sculpted "S". The wooden pentagon is a rich blue and the "S" is burnished red and gold. As for the method for floating the statue, it's not something I am allowed to reveal out](userimages/customs/40000/39964-1.jpg) SUPERMAN: MAN of STEEL Henry Cavill Supermanby matthancockIn December, a customer asked me to sculpt a 1/6 scale Henry Cavill MAN OF STEEL statue. Okay, we have a DCUC Killer Moth with DCUC Hawkman head. The entire surface is sculpted over except for the biceps and shoulders. The armor for this suit has crazy amounts of little details that are really tough to sculpt in this scale, but I think I got pretty close. I opted for this suit because I wasn't doing a nipple suit...although I am considering doing this Clooney and O'Donnell suits since my sculpting skills have improved a lot since I last did those back in 2007. Will make an Alicia Silverstone Batgirl too...probably.
Let's see, I also added some soles on the boots for a little extra height, and finished it off with a pleather cape that hangs very nicely! Thanks for looking!

Now that that's outta the way...All the armor is as movie accurate as I can possibly get it all the way down to the Air Jordan VI details on the shoes/boots. Alot of fine-tuning went into this sculpt and while the likeness isn't spot on Michael Keaton, I'm very satisfied with it. I simply used an ML Bullseye head. The cape is pleather. He still has a great deal of articulation including the waist twist.I just realized that, for a SUPERMAN junkie, I've been posting a lot of Batman-related figures lately! Thanks for looking. The symbol IS sculpted and not just painted on. The cowl was tough in this scale and I got it as good as I could. Hope you guys like it. This was ONE TOUGH COOKIE! Oh yeah, and the cape is leather.

Had to completely resculpt the neck to make it compatable with the head. Sculpted a new chest, boot designs, belt, and finally the "S" symbol. The Superman Returns "S" is VERY difficult to sculpt. In the past, I've just chickened out and gone with a flat "S" rather than the contoured one, but this time, I went for it and it paid off nicely. Also painted the "S" on the cape which was tricky because of the cape folds, vut again, it worked out.

![[Action Comics SUPERMAN] Okay, so this one doesn't have the extensive sculpting as my other recent customs, but it still wasn't that easy to pull off! SOTA Guile as a base for the new "Lumberjack-looking Superman" from Action Comics...the one with the boots and blue jeans. I considered sculpting the cuffed pants, but the Guile boots were just too sweet to cover up...plus it threw off the articulation. The T-shirt is some blue spandex I bought to use for a 12" Chris Reeve figure I plan to do. I wanted to give him both heads because in the new comics, he often has the red pissed off eyes and the Guile screaming expression fit that well! Both heads got new haircuts and the pants and boots got a heavy drybrush paint treatment to make it more comic-like. Finally, the cape is just cloth. Hope you guys like this one!
