I like to start with parts that will help minimize paint rub in the joints, so he's built from DCUC Iron, Deathstroke, BL Flash and Dr. Impossible. His head is a modified cast of Ultraman since its got a nice gritty expression. Added straps came from the fodder bin and the guns too. Other than that, a few weeks and a few layers of paint and he's complete. Painting the SHIELD logo was probably the most difficult part, but I did the best I could.

![[Marvel Universe Classics Psylocke] Good Evening Realmers. Tonight's submission is a classic to me in that I remember picking up several copies of Jim Lee's X-men number one twenty one years ago. All the variant covers to boot, this was one of my favorite Marvel titles back in the day. As much as I wanted to do the armored version of her gear before she debuted this suit, this is the suit that she wore when I read X-men the most, so that's the look I went with for Psylocke.
There really isn't much to her despite taking me a few months to complete, I started piecing her together in May. A Star Sapphire Wonder Woman body and Zatanna head. Sanded down most of the details, added some new ones and repainted her. Added her sash and a pair of Katannas and she was done.

Today's custom has been a long time in the works, classic Hawkeye. I started with the upper torso from a DCUC Golden Pharaoh and a ML Hawkeye headcast from DMC. The forearms and shoulders came from Samurai in order to eliminate the paintrub. Hands, quiver, arrow and bow were donated from Green Arrow. I did remove the "string" from the GA bow and replaced it with some elastic cord so he could draw his bow for action shots. The shoulder gear came from Forager, cut to size, with scales from Copperhead glued down to resemble chainmail. I used styrene for the trim on it.
The lower body was a combination of Dr. Midnight, a cloak from Raven for the loin cloth and boots from Deathstroke. Again, I used styrene squares individually cut for the loin cloth. I don't think there's anything else to add other than I enjoyed making this one...

I used the forearms from Golden Pharaoh, and the lower legs from Robotman. I dremelled down the ankle folds and inserted a few wings from an old Namor toy. I also used the buckle from the toy for the belt and lined the top and bottom of it with styrene. Black Adam donated his head and a few other details rounded him out. ![[DCUC Tim Drake Robin V2] Another blast from the past. Yesterday I was browsing my submissions and noticed I left a few out, so here's another. This is actually the fourth version I've done of Tim in this gear, but I think I only have the first submitted, and the other two were commissions, so I don't have them to even snap pics of.
So, Mattel gave us a TD Robin in his original gear, but it was lacking a few details. I added some pouches to his sleeves and gloves, as well as detailed the sleeves on his biceps. Made a new "R" out of some vinyl, swapped out the pouch belt. The one I used was Sinestro's with the buckle from Robin's. I then cut tiny pieces of styrene out to make the compartments and painted them gold to match the center of the buckle. This time around I left the original tunic clasps because I like they way they look and the 4Horsemen did a nice job sculpting those details into them. Lastly, I gave him the proper sloped boots to mimic his tabi boots.

I've been trying to come up with a recipe for this guy for a few months now. The DCU fodder available just doesn't really exist to do any other style armor without heavily modifying it and I prefer to steer clear of any sculpting. Plus, this is Tony's classic armor, the one I always think of anyways, so I guess it fits well with what I'm doing these days.
I started with putting Cyborg's lower arms and legs on Robotman's body. I removed the chest piece and dremeled down the straps on the torso. I plucked a piece from my fodder bin to serve as the arc reactor. Followed that up with a couple other pieces I cut from Orion's harness for the recharge ports. His rendition was fantastic and inspired me to do one since I had most of the fodder in my bins. I did alter up the recipe slightly in order to suit what I wanted to see on the custom.
The base body is primarily a DCUC Red Tornado. The head and forearms came from a GL 5 pack John Stewart, the lower legs from SC Batman and the feet from Hawkman. The feathers on his ankles were sculpted. I plucked the wings from the ML Falcon as well as the headpiece on his forehead. I embedded the wings into the DC arms by dremeling out a channel in the biceps and forearms, while leaving "tabs" on the wings in order to insert and secure them to the arms. That was the most complicated part in that, anytime I'm using a dremel on my figures and doing something I haven't tried before, I always get a little nervous. Last but not least, the head. I was almost tempted to use Slade's head, but the eye patch was the problem. So, I lifted his hair and put it on someone else..Added the com-link to his ear and receiver/transmitter on his shoulder pad. Basically a Black Manta with the ML Havok head. Gave him Omac's collar so he'd have a little more costume detail than just a metallic painted neck and black suit. I didn't want to paint on his energy signature, so I found an alternative route by using a lid from something around the house with ridges in it already. The base body used was the Sinestro from the GL 2pack. I wanted mine to be slender and tall, athletic but not too buff. I swapped out the T-rex forearms with a set from Spectre-his open hand as well, fist from Dr. Midnight and a new set of feet from Nightwing. The head was a cast from DMC. I also imbedded magnets into his arm and limbs so I could swap out the ML hand to give him his trademark stretch look. I snatched some pieces from the ML Ghost Rider; the head, collar, chain and feet and incorporated them onto Jonah. Originally, I was gonna do Johnny Blaze in his classic look. I used an ab section from Cyborg so that the seam on his armor would have a seam to line up with going into the belt, which was from OMAC and modified to look like Thor's. The lower legs came from a Public Enemies Batman as they added a little extra height than the standard DCUC leg. He's not supposed to be that much taller than 6ft and some change, but according to the statistics, he's supposed to weigh 600 lbs, so the wrappings add a little extra mass to the lower legs. Red Tornado boot cuffs were placed on top of some Flash lower legs so his boots would look nice and thick.
The head was the most challenging in that I ordered two ML casts, one with the classic visor and one with his modern visor and neither was a good fit; one too small, the other too big.
