![[DC INJUSTICE REGIME SUPERMAN (Evil Version)] Hey all,
This guy is a simple repaint and my standard wired cloth cape. Sadly, Mattel made this injustice series very small in stature for the scale compared to the rest of the DCUC line. It's much closer to the Movie Masters slightly smaller scale.
He still looks cool with a little acrylic make-up job and a cape that actually LOOKS like a cape!

As my hometown CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS battle the Boston Bruins (who also ROCK), I bring you the KING of Atlantis: Aquaman! Good thing my computer is next to the TV! LOL!
Aquaman has a Superman DCUC head, and has sculpt all over him to get that look of the armor from the game. There's a ton of sculpt, done in layers, covering all of the legs. The chest pieces required a lot of intricate work to get that shape and detail. But honestly, the lined edging on the gauntlets and boots is the real pain, because you have to be able to work on one leg/arm without squishing the other one you just finished.
Paints for the darker, muted look. OVERTIME--GOTTA GO!

![[Dc Injustice Red Son Superman V2] Hey again,
So I had a great time with my Red Son Superman, but needed a game accurate version for a friend who asked for it.
I took the base Figure and re-sculpted him into the actual game version, matching the gloves, belt, boots, and emblem. Paint scheme matches the graphics. A little sculpt on the hair to level that out as well.
This marks the first time I'm doing a two-tone cape that is sealed together and wired. I used a fabric glue sheet from Michael's, and it worked brilliantly. Had to slice it into smaller pieces, so as not to have the final product too heavy and weigh the figure down.
Used my standard wired cape process and I think it came out fantastic!

![[Bruce Wayne BATMAN beyond] Hey all,
This guy's a dude I did about a month or two ago as a commission. Took the customer wanted a Bruce Wayne in the Batman Beyond suit, and was very specific that he should look much bigger than Terry McGuinness in it.
I used this cool Bruce Wayne as Batman Beyond statue off the internet as a starting point, and then my Batman: War on Crime graphic novel as well. Bruce Wayne is much larger in physique than Terry, so the WWE figure is perfect. Scultped the ears, chest, forearms and smoothed out the legs.
I think he looks simple and clean, like the suits design is meant to be. He also looks like he could pound you silly, as Bruce Wayne does to people on occasion.

I had seen the New 52 Captain Cold and thought that it was cool. I had also decided a while ago to do some Injustice-style concepts of characters that hadn't been done in the game, though some of those characters are becoming avaialable.
For this guy, I figured he'd be done with the 70's parka hood and baby blue suit. He's working with some serious frigidaire-type stuff. And it's the Injustice world I'm thinking, so there would be post-apocalyptic gear. I went with some armor plates for the chest, armoured gauntlets and boots, and a much darker palate. I kept the hood he's had in newer books, but made it darker.
The coat is from a LOTR Strider figure, and is removable. His gun came from a Judge Dredd, I think. Anyway, he was never a serious, murdering kind of criminal in the older stories, so I figured he'd be down to join the regime and be on the 'good' side, biding time to take out Flash.

So my son's basically kicked my butt for several weeks with all the ranged weapon characters in DC Injustice. It's really hard to beat the 12-13 year old kids for me, but I did whip his butt the last few nights, so he's really mad and ready to go! LOL!
I made this guy because I really like the way he fights in the game and I dig this look for him. Sculpted over his hood, added shoulder guards, his righ arm guard is sculpted, and his pants are scultped to resemble the looser, 'fluffed' look from the game. His tunic is cut and sealed cloth, and straps are from LOTR figures. Boots and shin guards are all sculpted.
Bow was a LOTR bow, sanded and sculpted, and with a knife attachment, just like his bow in the game has. Pretty happy with this, though I think he will have a version two or the 'other' world's Arrow version, which might be yellow.

So tonight I will post my Injustice Sinestro--he's been waiting for a while for the madness to die down. I lovethis game and I love this guy's look in it!!
He started life as a DCUC Sinestro, and has had his WHOLE BODY sculpted over, to replicate the armored Regime Sinestro from the video game. I really tried to capture that armored look, and I think I'm pretty close. I had considered at one point having an extra head without the helmet, so I took KatoSuki Customs advice and made the helmeted version with a magnet in it and pushed a small nail through the neck. ![[DC Injustice Regime Nightwing] Hey again!
The concept of the 'dark world' counterparts to the DC Universe in the Injustice game has some pretty hard interpretations. Few more harsh than the Nightwing who supports the dictator Superman's regime and One Earth Government. Without giving away too many spoilers, he is NOT who he seems at first, but the story's reveal actually does fit in with what MIGHT have happened in the mainstream universe, given the Bat-Family's chaotic history.
Took a Mr Fantastic that had been modded for a Nightwing before, and added sculpt to make up his head and armor. This suit is one of my favorite versions and takes on the character of Nightwing. It harkens to some Nightwing styles from the comic, as well as serves as a precursor to a Batman Beyond style suit.

So first I chopped off the plastic cape--if you know me by now, that's just not gonna stay!-LOL! Next I had to sculpt his chest armor and then sculpted that bat symbol on top of that. The armor isn't seemless, it's more like plates that are matched. More like samurai plate armor than an anime style. I also sculpted his bicep and leg plates, boot and knee armor, and his guantlets. I took off the head and cowl and put the cloth covered cape in there, anchoring it under the cowl.

This DC INJUSTICE Green Lantern is the 'hero'. There is a Yellow Lantern version you will all see soon.
Took Hal's headless body and added a SOTA Guile's 'screaming 'face. Sculpted his mask and hair. At first I was leary about using that head, as it obviously leans towards one expression, but the game is a FIGHTING GAME, so I was like 'what the heck.'
All the armor is sculpted in a lot of detail from the photos I had. It isn't 100% game accurate, but it's not too far off. There is sculpt all over this dude. I tried to paint the bright 'Lantern' light that lines parts of his uniform.
In the game there are several Lanterns-two green and one yellow. At points they tend to look like cheap Tron knock-offs, so I did use creative license to avoid that.

I had to remove the hair, and trim off the collar. I used rubbery hair from a LOTR figure and scultped it over it-that way the pony tails were loose and flexible while the top of the hair is solid. I read this comic a few years ago an have made this dude before, but wanted to do one in the scale of DCUC (my last was a WWE scale), as well as keep him in line with the new game.
Took the Lead figure (I think it was Lead) and cut off his tunic. The base was a beautiful mettalic gray-blue and after a solid wash, held onto paint outstandingly. I love this figure, as he's bulky but not barrel-chested as most DCUC are. I sculpted the chest emblem in layers over a couple days. That Soviet symbol is quite difficult to nail, so I got as close as I could. Sculpted the hair and collar, and boots. Belt is black pleather and the buckle is cut fodder.

Same basic recipe as before, but with some refinements to the sculpted armor which now covers even more of his body, and a much more metallic and darker paint scheme. The 'S' design is closer to the Frank Miller style than the game, but that was a creative license I thought would look cool. Wired the cape, as is my specialty and preference, and DONE!

This custom was HARD TO MAKE. For me at least. It was extremely time consuming and required patience the likes of which I wasn't sure I had. The tedious amount of stuff scultped and glued, collectively, was gargantuan, even though it wasn't a huge quantity. So here's what I did:
I trimmed up the head and sculpted the hair and the goatee. I knew from my Black Sabbath shirt Tony that I needed to paint the face better, to achieve a better Downey Jr likeness, so it's been completely repainted. I sculpted the tank top shirt he had into the sweater, with a super thin layer across the top of his pants, as the sweater comes down his torso that far.

Finally finished off my WATCHMEN series. Tonight, you can see OZYMANDIAS. He started out as a DCUC Captain Boomerang. I chose that as the base body because he was tall and slender, like the actor from the film. I sculpted his boots, gloves, chest armor, back collar, head/hair, and belt/crotch area. The little loincloth is a piece of cape from the fodder box.
I painted his mask versus sculpt, since it was pretty skin tight in the film. His gold headband was a problem, as the color tends to blends with his hair a bit. His cape was a cut piece of sealed cloth with a wire that runs down the center for poseability. Oz didn't have a huge flowing cape in the film, like Nite Owl, so I kept it simple. I think he fits in good, and would love to hear what you all think!

However, this time I wanted lots more detail than I did before, and I wanted lots of accessories. He's BATMAN for cryin' out loud, right? He should have stuff!
So I've taken the standard Neca Batman recipe several of us have used, and really went to town sculpting the armor more correctly from the movies. The blades on his guantlets are cut pieces of AKUMA's coat, glued on first and then sculpted around the edges to secure them in. Rubbery but solid.
His head is ENTIRELY sculpted, over the Ninja Gaiden head. I tried to get as close to Christian Bale's look as possible, even sculpting his lower lip and jaw from close up photos, as his lower jaw is pretty distinct.

He was built off an Abin Sur body, with lots of sculpt on the face and head of a Movie Masters Dark Knight Batman head. So I sculpted the head (hair, mustache), his chest/torso armor, armor buckles, shin guards and knee pads. For his shoulder pads, the were from a Dark Knight Movie Masters Batman figure-I sculpted a star on one and the three-tiered, red and white striped armor plate on the other. I used black pleather staps, glued to the top of the shoulder, and then glued under the pad, same is with my last Freeze custom. This allows the shoulder pads free movement and doesn't restrict the arms at all.
His belt and handgun came from a Battlestar Galactica figure, and the over the shoulder straps are the same strips that hold the pads on. His machine gun and riot gun are from the weapons bin. A far cry different than his ultimate appearance in the Arkham City game, but Stefan is a fan of the older style Freeze, and he's happy with it.
It took a long time due to the sculpting and my not-so-stable schedule of late at work, and was a lot of work itself. The base figure gave me some grief midway through, but I finished it to his Specifications.
The entire upper torso was scultped with Aves to get the look of the armor, which is like an old-style deep-sea diver suit. The helmet was plastic a cap from a hair product bottle, that I cut to fit over his shoulders. Next, I sculpted out the crevice that the helmet would fit into, so it would actually slip over his head, and into a sculpted lip that holds it in place. Anyway--I'm posting work that's been done a while but I couldn't get posted. I owe 'Ol Jade Jaw' like a bottle of scotch for his encouragement, though he probly doesn't know he was helping me through some rough patches!
So first up, I decided after seeing Avengers to do a Tony in the Black Sabbath shirt. Scuplted his hair, goatee, the shirt, short and long sleeves, and shoes. Rest is paint. I tried to use one of those magnifiers in order to get as much of the detail into the shirt, but it really just got in the way, so went on without it. Bad idea--took about three days fro my eyes to stop hurting after painting that. My eyes still hate me over this. I hope you enjoy it.
