![[Power Rangers Masterpiece Megazord] I present to you a figure that has been in the works for quite some time. As a kid, I loved Power Rangers and the coolest figure you could own was the Deluxe Megazord. Sadly, it is the epitamy of a plastic brick with only 6 POA. I've always wanted to articulate one, but they are too expensive and there is no way I'm ever cutting up mine.
Years pass.
In 2010, Bandai decides to create all new molds of the original Power Rangers and releases a new deluxe megazord. I buy it, cut it up, and paint it.....over a 6 month period. The base figure has 8 POA (being lenient) my improved version has 21 POA. Yeah, cool, right?
Here's a breakdown:
T-Rex:
Basecoated black
Drybrushed with Games Workshop Codex Grey, Chainmail Silver, Chaos Black, Blood Red, and Enchanted Blue
Megazord head put on ball joint
Crotch dremeled out and replaced with one from a Lego Knights Kingdom figure. Ratchet joints embedded in hips allow forward, backward, and outward motion.

Here is my take on a Classics Headmaster Hardhead and Duros. The recipe is listed above for both figures. I chose to deviate from the original color scheme and layout for a few reasons. First, I thought that with such large treads, it would blend in too much with the black. Secondly, the orginal's avocado green had to go. This isn't the 70's, we can update the color to something less obnoxious.
I know that there's a few touch ups that need to be done. Some of it is a little bit of paint wear that's occurred from handling it, the rest is spots I just missed with the base coat.

![[Triceratops Dinozord] Overhauling the original Power Rangers Megazord is something I've always wanted to do but finding a complete figure for cheap is a rariety. My prayers were answered with the release of the 2010 megazord that was near identical to the original but it comes at a fraction of the price.
Overall the figure isn't bad, but for being roughly 10 inches tall it only has "8" points of articulation. My custom megazord has an improved 25 poa and is almost completely handpainted.
The first of the zords I am posting is the Triceratops Dinozord. The head has been placed on a ball joint and the tail blaster was strategically cut to make it look like the original instead of a chunk of crappy plastic. Quickly confronting his target and his cronies, his bulky t-rex and robot modes were proven useless when paired against the high speed attacks of his enemies. Barely escaping with his life, he re-analyzed the situation and devised a new strategy.
Realizing the bulkiness of his bot mode, he decides to shed it for the quicker, faster, more practical alt-mode of a motorcycle. Still needing to possess some bite, he made modifications to slim down his dino mode and incorporate it into the bike.

But what's an eye stabber without his knife? His blade is comprised of fodder for the handle and a much manipulated nail. Yep. That sucker is made with real metal. Must have burnt myself on it about a gagillion times.
He doesn't look like much, but a lot of time went into him to perfectly capture his look.
