I liked the suit design on this except for all of the groves and detailing on the ears of the cowl-so I ground them down and smoothed them out. The original color was completely black graphite, which was repainted to the black/Grey combo.I made a new cape with wire in the ribs for a more dynamic pose. ![[Batman vs. The Chiefs!] This is just a "Break and Pose" job.
I changed #31 from having...
"running a touchdown action"
to
"gettin' his butt kicked action".
I live in K.C. and am not a football fan.
I don't Hate football, I just don't want to hear
people TALK about it all the time! This just seemed
like a healthy way of venting my frustrations.
Recipe:
Break.
Wire and pose.
Touch-up paint.

![[Batman - Night Shadow Batman - Statue conversion] This started as a 10" Wild CATS Grifter.
The top of his head was cut out off and re sculpted into the cowl.
straps on chest were ground off and re sculpted.
I the liked the trench coat look, so I went for a Coat/Cape hybrid.
The ribbed fabric inside the collar was ground down smooth, rolled up sleeves were changed to tuck smoothly inside the gauntlets, a
scalloped edge was added on to the bottom, and the coat-belt was removed
and sculpted smooth. Gauntlet "spikes" were made from styrene. Then all
joints were glued and filled. Some of the low spots were filled with Bondo spot filler putty, sanded, then sprayed with auto primer, and given a light final sanding (the bondo spot putty is the red areas showing through the primer in the WIP).
the base is made from wood and molding then textured with spackle.

It took some pretty extensive modifying to get his proportions a bit more human. His torso was lengthend, hands and feet trimmed down, thighs trimmed down and re sculpted with more muscle definition, then bigger jaw and cowl were added.
All joints were glued and filled.
sculpting was done with Apoxy.
Homemade cloth cape.
