![[Venom] "Never wound...what you can't kill."
If any of you out their have been wondering where I have been this is why. This has got to be the hardest custom I have worked on...ever. Here is the recipe:
Body-DCUD Black Suit Superman (in the movie he was bigger than Spider-Man but not drastically. This figure was a perfect choice on muscularity and height)
Hands-Hasbro's Spider-man 3 Venom figure.
Teeth-Tooth pick ends
and this layers of Fix-It sculpt.
I didn't like the storyline for Venom in Spider-Man 3, but I did love his look. I never found a Venom figure that really captured his essence from the movie, so here his my little interpretation of what he is. One thing I've noticed about all Spider-Man movie figures is that they sculpt the "texture" of the costume on the "non-wbbed" areas of the body. I do not mind that but on venom the costume texture is everywhere. I did my best to get the "honeycomb" design of the costume by putting thin layers of](userimages/customs/18000/17769-1.jpg) Venom | ![[ROTF Megatron] This is a simple repaint useing the common metal colors. I did what most do and hand painted the figure flat black. Drybrushed with silver and a silver/gunmetal mix on the tank treds. I took a good look at him in the movie he does have a goldish huge to him. So in order to replicate this by mixing silver with gold and lightly drybrushed all over minly focusing on the torso area to get champagne effect. It is not meant to stand out but rather have a subtle look. You may notice in the pics. Finally I painted smaller details in regular gold. Enjoy](userimages/customs/17000/16620-1.jpg) ROTF Megatron |
![[Optimus Prime] I have been working on this for a really long time. There is still much more that needs to be done, but seeing as how so many of these are now popping up on the realm I figured I would add mine before it is as common as a Deadpool custom.
This is a repaint like everything else but mine has a twist. Even though it is not pictured I too have magnetic asthetics for the swords, and I am going to buy the TFC guns when they come out. What makes this custom so special is that I learned how to use choming techniques and I applied these skills to all the truck parts to make them look more like the live action truck. I air brushed Aclad laqures to get that "chrome" affect and trust me the pics do not do it justice. For those of you who do not know, to get this chome affect you need to use Aclad gloss black base, then use Aclad chome and trust me you will love the outcome (Remember they have to be airbrushed) My only regret is that I had to go through 2 Prime figures before getting it](userimages/customs/16500/16411-1.jpg) Optimus Prime | ![[Chucky] I am in great anticipation of mezco's 3 3/4" cinema of fear figures. Out of all the characters in the genre of horror my 2 most favorite characters were chucky and michael myers... Which aren't going to be in this new line of figures. So I decided to start off by making my own. So here he is the lakeshore stangler charles lee ray or as many of you know him... Chucky! This one was tough because of all the detail on such a small level. I used a minimate figure because of its small stature and it's decent articulation. I dremled it all over to take away the "blockyness" and covered it with fixit sculpt. The pictures do not do it justice but trust me his face has all the same replicated detail of a classic chucky doll. I went with his old school look of not being stiched together which I always felt was much better. So it is now time for all of your g. I. Joe, starwars, marvel universe, dc infinite heroes, or any other 3 3/4" figures you have to start being afraid. ![[Nick Fury (Movie Style)] It seems that 3.75 inch figures are whats hot right now. Well they also are great for customizing and seeing as how many companies have made many figure like this for a while...this custom idea hit me like a bolt of lighting. I was at a couple of my local stores looking for figures and it just hit me...Nick Fury. I thought Samuel L. Jackson's cameo in Iron Man, as Nick Fury, was awsome. I was looking at my Mace Windu figure and then I started thinking about all the figures that are in the same scale and here he is. Nick Fury as portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson.
Here is the recipe:
Mace Windu: Head.
Snake Eyes: Torso, abdomin, and thighs.
Cobra Trooper: Lower legs, forearms and hands.
Gambit: Biceps, and coat.
I gave the figure some random weapons, I glued the pistol holder from the Snake Eyes figure's belt to the left leg, and an unsheethed twisty-tie and some Fixit Sculpt for the eye patch.
I hope you all enjoy, and it wouldn't suprise me to see that a figure like this one will be](userimages/customs/14500/14390-1.jpg) Nick Fury (Movie Style) Marvel Universeby VIPER PRIMEIt seems that 3.75 inch figures are whats hot right now. I was in the the midst of doing a couple different customs but then I came across another green ranger figure and I dropped everything to do this MMPR Red Ranger custom.
Here is the parts list:
Head, torso, gloves, and boots - SLE MMPR Green Ranger
Arms, and legs - PR RPM Red Ranger
Gun - random 1994 MMPR figure
Sword - 13th Anniversary MMPR Red Ranger Collection figure
Apoxie sculpt, Fixit sculpt, a combination of models master and vellejo paints, white craft foam for the gun holster, and the ability not to self destruct when things go wrong.
I must admit I wasn't too impressed with the vallejo paint, but in it's defense it seems I have trouble with any red paint reguardless of brand, mabey it has something to do with the dye formula...anyway about the custom.

![[Lord Zedd] I have worked really hard to make this one. Sculpting was never one of my strong traits but I think this turned out pretty good considering all I had going against me.
So here are the parts I used:
WWE Deluxe Aggresion Batista for the body,
a combination of Apoxie Sculpt and Fixit Sculpt of the chrome exo parts,
clear wires for his plasma tubes, a stic for the staff, and a lot of patience.
First I engraved the entire body to look like muscle with no flesh, then I placed the wires where they should belong, I sculpted around everything just about, and finally I sculpted the "Z" and the spear head on his staff.
I got the Super Legends Extreme Green Ranger a while ago and I really wanted a Lord Zedd to go with him. I am more of a Sentai fan as opposed the the American version of power rangers but I always felt that Lord Zedd was the coolest idea the american version came out with. ![[The Green Ranger] This is one of the best green ranger figures ever made but I still found many flaws with it. I decided to give it a little customizing to give it that show accurate look. First thing I noticed was that there were no white diamond patterns. Next I figured that since his gold vest wasn't removable I added the staps that hold it in place like on the the tv show. I only painted the straps, I was going to mold them but doing that would have interfeared with the articulation. If you look in the 1st photo you'll see that there is a big concave area going from the arm pit out to the chest, this is only on the right side of the figure. This is to allow him to hold his dagger in flute mode like on the show. I was going to fill it in but it really isn't that bad. Granted a shoulder joint, and a double hinged elbow would have done the same job if not better but I do not work for the company that manufactured this figure <:)
I also added detail to the helmet. When I first saw this figure a few things ran thru my mind. It was just about the best Spider-Man figure I have ever seen. Seriously, I hate it when they try to get to complex with a Spider-Man figure by adding wrinkles in his costume or making his either super bulked up or supper skinny. I prefer this simple design is a Spider-Man figure...less is more.
However, there were 2 things that disappointed me with this figure. First, at this point and time in the comicbooks back in 1996 he was refered to as Spider-Man, the Scarlet Spider persona was over. Second I was upset that there were no ingraved web lines in his costume. So here is what I did...
I got a dremel for Christmas and ingraved all the weblines in his costume. Gave him a head-to-toe repaint for the more shady look like in the comics at that time, and there you have it.

![[Red Hulk] Body: FO Hulk
Head: BAF Red Hulk
This custom is a funy story. I went out black friday and saw all the BAF red hulk figures except for adam warlock. I haven't been seeing any of these so this was the closest I came. I ended up no t getting them because I didn't want to wind up haveing a hulk figure with no leg. I was going to get Spiral since she came with a head and make a custom but I wasn't going to stand in line for 1 figure, and trust me the lines were long. I went back the next day and Adam Warlock was there. I was ticked off because I kept asking workers the previous day if they had any more and they told me "whatever is on the shelf is all we have." If I had know at the time that I can get the Last part of Red Hulk I would have got the rest of the figures on Black Friday.
Because of my resentment towards both Hasbro and Target I decided to "Stick it to the Man" by making this awsome custom. I bought the body, dirt cheap, on a website, and I did go to Targe](userimages/customs/11500/11240-1.jpg) Red Hulk Incredible Hulkby VIPER PRIMEBody: FO Hulk

I used them for years but after reading the tutorials I found a hobby shop in my area that carries the testors model master acryl paints. I like it much better now because the paint has a much smoother texture and is more durable.
I also decided to redo this custom Hulk Movie figure because it was suggested to me to do more shading on the figure, and after seeing CaptianZero's custom of this figure I had a feeling of envy and inspiration to start over the project. BTW the old paints I used were of such cheap quality the they came off from simply washing the figure in soapy water.

![[Iron Man Night Armor] I was using this figure as a test subject for using new paints and paint methods. I give Kyle Robinson props for this because it is the same paint detail used in the Metallic Colors tutorial. I have been using the apple barrel paints for years and it never dawned on me that there was something better. I never had luck with testors paint in the past but thank to the tutorials and getting introduced to the master acrylic paints I an now a happier customizer. I now can pose a figure without the paint scratching of and it no longer feel like tericota:)
Again I want to thank Kyle Robinson, Jin Saotome, Dr. Nightmare, and the many great customizers here at the realm for the tutorials, great advice on materials, and inspiration.

For some reason it is hard to find joker goons lately but I found one and I now have an awsome Scarecrow. Like many of you out there I prefer Scarecrow in his business suit because that is what he wears most of the time. He isn't supposed to be a colorful villian but the toy companies can not get that in thier heads. Putting him in the strait jacket makes him seem more villiany or at least that is what the marketers think.
Anyway...
I swaped the heads, hands, and feet. Painted the shirt white, and used craft foam for a tie (hey I was using limited resorces but it works)
