A modern incarnation of Batman's personal aircraft (a.k.a., the Batplane), which first appeared in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman motion picture. The Batwing was designed by Anton Furst and the initial model construction was done by Derek Meddings. At least five versions of the iconic vehicle, in a range of sizes (everything from a one-foot-long miniature to a full-scale replica), were fabricated by staff for use in filming the various scenes in which it appears. This bat-symbol-shaped aircraft proved quite popular and was subsequently adapted to the comic book source material as well as other Batman media.
The Batwing is armed with two side-mounted GE M134 miniguns, four wing-mounted missile launchers, and retractable "jaws" concealed within the nose of the aircraft. An Annelid tunnels rapidly through its sandy environment, attracted by the vibrations created by moving objects (footsteps, spinning tires, digging, etc.) Upon reaching its destination, the upper third of the worm bursts up from the arid earth and attacks (said eruption is so violent that it usually knocks anyone nearby off their feet and has been known to overturn vehicles as well). While I was brainstorming ideas, I considered a variety of skeletal projects, but ultimately decided on an undead creature, simply because they have play value beyond inanimate bones. I pity the museum's staff and patrons when this little critter inevitably escapes (only having an understanding of medieval technology, it's convinced that the plexiglass imprisoning it is some kind of magical force field that it must overcome) and starts causing mayhem...

It also suffers from an exposed heart, a flaw common to many Tyrant variations, although, in this case, the organ protrudes from the creature's back, rather than the chest. These two shortcomings were ultimately corrected in the improved T-092 model (Morpheus D. Duvall).

Strange flora that can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. While a Watcher Plant can deliver painful slaps with its serrated leaves at close range, it is the vegetation's baleful eye that an adventurer must truly be wary of, for it can emit deadly beams of searing light that will pierce armor and flesh alike.

![[Shadow Tower Monster Assortment #1] Barrel Snail
Unusual gastropods that can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. The monsters Barrel Snail and Cannon Snail share the same polygon game model but differ in color and combat capability. While these creatures are quite large, they're just as slow as the much smaller common snail, so it's a relatively simple matter to outmaneuver or avoid these titanic molluscs. However, lest one become too eager for a taste of monstrous escargot, keep in mind that the Barrel Snail can and will emit noxious clouds of poisonous gas from the end of its cylindrical shell to defend itself from anything that it perceives to be a threat.
Materials:
Newsprint, white glue, a wire twist tie, acrylic paint, and gloss nail polish.
Dimensions:
5.9 cm/2.3 in. x 5.4 cm/2.1 in. (widest point x highest point)

One day: June 17, 2012.

Reanimated dragon skeletons that can be encountered in Squaresoft's 1993 SaGa III: Jikuu no Hasha - Kanketsu Hen (SaGa 3: The Ruler of Time and Space - Final Chapter) Nintendo Gameboy roleplaying video game (more commonly known as Final Fantasy Legend III in North America--however, that name choice was a rather dishonest marketing ploy as the SaGa franchise is not part of the Final Fantasy series). Said title was also completely remade, with 3-dimensional polygon graphics, for the Nintendo DS in 2011 (SaGa 3: Jikuu no Hasha - Shadow or Light), but it's only available in Japan. The monsters Dragon Bone (D.Bone) and Dragon Fossil (D.Fossil) share the exact same game sprite but differ in power and combat capability.
