Did a little filing on Mr. Sinister's face, built a cowl from painter's tape, and fashioned wings from actual Turkey feathers, lol. The rest was just a repaint. Mixed the facial paint from Cayenne Red, Basic White, and a very bright Yellow. I was afraid of messing up the ears, so I didn't file them to a point. Perhaps later...](userimages/customs/17000/16637-1.jpg) Prince Namor in Black Battlesuit Marvelby twillz1I thought I'd try something outside of the Green Lantern realm. I took a Hal Jordan figure, filed down the limbs and cut off the hands, feet and head. Then, I took the hands and feet from a MacFarland dragon and cut them down to three digits apiece. (I used tiny screws to hold the limbs in place.) Then, I modified the head from a HALO character and attached it. I used a Dremel to achieve the skin texture on the head, and added sculpy for the facial appendages. The rest was a bit of paint. In retrospect, I should have filed the limbs down a bit more to get that lithe, Aquatic look I was striving for.](userimages/customs/15000/14624-1.jpg) Starkaor Green Lanternby twillz1My third custom. I first filed off almost all of Sinestro's big forehead and mask, then repainted the entire head. I left most of the uniformed body alone. (all I did was adjust the shoulder design to keep the uniform accurate.)
I think I really got the skin color right.](userimages/customs/14500/14199-1.jpg) Abin Sur Green Lanternby twillz1This was my second piece. I used a Power Girl as my base figure, and used a Dremel to sculpt the hair from the blonde 'page-boy' style into Dr. Natu's short fade. After I cut off the gloves and boots, the rest was simply a repaint. Very little sculpy was used. (just enough to fill in the calves where I cut off the boots, and the forearms, as well.) This was my first custom, and I didn't know how to properly mix paint at the time. This is why her skin tone is a bit uneven. I don't plan on changing her, tho.](userimages/customs/14500/14198-1.jpg) Dr. Soranik Natu Green Lanternby twillz1For my first figure, I decided to make a female Green Lantern character, as there were none at the time. The three braids are made from an unraveled pair of Nike shoelaces. I filed the claws on the fingers and toes down, and used clay to fashion shoes. (I'm still not happy with how that turned out.) The epaulets on the shoulders are from a Mr. Sinister figure. All else was done with paint and prayers, lol. This is my 4th custom. I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this, albeit slowly.](userimages/customs/14500/14070-1.jpg) Ke'Haan Green Lanternby twillz1I used a Despero figure as my base, and got the horns from a Conan (series one) character's viking-style helmet.
