![[Bane (Hardy Hybrid)] Well... I think everything about TDR that can be said has been said. So I'll keep my opinions to myself. That being said, I think Tom Hardy did a great job as Bane. But remember back in '97, when Batman & Robin came out? What if, instead of Mr. Freeze, Arnold had played Bane? That would have been really cool...
So here we have Arnold's body, with Hardy's Head, and a little bit of comic styling thrown in. I decided to forgo the venom, but decided to give him some green vein tattoos to act as a visual nod. So far, the easiest custom I've ever done, all in one sitting. Painted the shirt and veins, dremmeled out the head a little, and Dullcoted. Also, my first completed custom since moving to LA! This figure is a character from that same sci-fi, but based on his appearance in the sequel (It's never too early to write sequels to unfinished novels). So: Edgar Latterndale, once U.S. Secretary of Defense, ends up inheriting the presidency (yes, inherit: if enough people die/resign/are incapable of serving in a short amount of time, SecDef can jump ahead in line pretty far). By the end of the first book, Ed is left in charge of the heavily irradiated remains of the U.S. By the middle of the second book (300 years later), he's a ruthless dictator, immortal through cloning (and super powers!) I'm not going to go into any length describing who (heh-heh) the Doctor is. If you know, you know. If not, shame on you. It's on Netflix. Anyhoo, this is no specific doctor; its sort of a blend of 10th and 11th, with a bit of 8 thrown in (sacrilege!) The custom came about because I happened to put an MM Thug jacket on an MM Joker and thought to myself, "You know, that sorta looks like the Doctor..." So, I shaved down the facial wounds (not perfectly :( ), sculpted over it and any joint holes on the figure, popped on some hands from an X2 Logan, and painted. That's all... Hope you like...
Oh, and a bit of advice to posterity... This was my first serious attempt at a 6-inch figure, and I've discovered that, while I'm good at smaller scale figures, those paint skills don't necessarily scale up with the figure. ![[E.H.U.D.] Okay, before I launch into the story, and while I have everyone's attention, I'll go into the technical details. This figure was made entirely from an IM2 Mk V Iron Man figure with lots... and lots... of Apoxie sculpt and green stuff. In the end, I find it reminiscent of the toys based off of Mike Mignola's work.
The figure represents not a single character, but a type of combat armor. The armor concept is 100% origional and based on my forthcoming sci-fi novel, "E.H.U.D.: Prelude to Apocalypse". You can find out more on its tvtropes page. Which has a link to my blog. Where I publish the book WIP. Please read it. Y'all are my free editors...

Anyhoo, I thought it a bit weird that Hasbro portrayed Darth Vader as being Anakin-ish right up until the lava bath. I always assumed his descent into evil would be a more gradual thing, especially following 2002's removable limb Anakin.
So here's Anakin Skywalker- Darth Vader- during his last days as a Jedi, wearing Jedi battle armor that's been pimped out with a bit of life-support. Oh, and a cape. Maybe he survived a fighter crash or something. He won't really survive this last battle, though...

![[Obi-Wan Kenobi] So, if you're like me, you were a little dissapointed with Episode One. It was okay, it definitely felt like Star Wars, but there was just something subtly off about it. There were high hopes that the next film would be better, but sadly, Lucas dropped the production, and the final two films of the greatest SF franchise ever remained unmade. That didn't stop the SW liscencees, however, from making great new What If style products. Of particular note are the figures that Hasbro produced showing what Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader may have looked like in their younger days. The figures were a bit lacking in imagination, though, merely building upon the Jedi robes concept from TPM. This is where I came in. I always felt like the Jedi should somehow represent the "knight" part of their names, so I decided to do my own What Ifs. Somewhere to his left, an air quality monitor beeped. He pulled himself up from the chair he had fallen into and gasped as a jolt of pain shot up his leg. “By Oa…” He collapsed back and examined his wound; there was blood.
