![[Iron Man - Silly Thing Iron Man - Custom] Since everyone is doing an Iron Man custom. I thought I'd give it a shot as well.
This custom is based on a Hong Kong exclusive Hot Toys 1:6th scale Iron Man figure for the Record Label "Silly Thing". You can easily 'google' it.
I really like the concept and the figure itself, yet I was not willing to shell out an Hot Toys amount of cash - so I decided to do my own "Silly Thing" Iron Man. In my version "Silly Thing" stands for the stupid idea of Tony Stark creating a new version of the Iron Man suit - a Matk 3.5 of sorts, en route to the Mark IV seen in the new film - and taking it out directly into a live fire exercise. Tony takes an unpainted version of the advanced suit to a compat training simulation and sees how it holds up to the latest in weapons manufacturing. The results can be seen on the figure. Tony waits out the computer's results while enjoying an apple slush drink while Pepper Potts hates his guts for the risks he takes.

It has been ten years since a group of unlikely allies has rid the peaceful country of Shadaloo of unspeakable evil.
Ten years since one man defeated the ultimate warlord known as M. Bison - or has he?
Through the mysteries of science and black magic the ultimate evil has returned to the realm of Shadaloo and only one man stands in his way...
Jean Claude Van Damme returns as Colonel William F. Guile, a man determined to end Bison's reign of terror once and for all. But the forces of darkness are strong. Can Guile survive the ultimate showdown in Shadaloo?
Find out, in "Street Fighter - The Movie Part 2 - Bison Forever"
(End trailer guy voice)

I used an original "Street Fighter the Movie" Guile head for the Jean Claude Van Damme likeness. The body came from a "G.I. Joe - The Rise Of Cobra" Lt. Well, I liked the head with the beanie hat better, so I had this in spare and wanted to give it a body.
So I went and bought some wrestler figure from Jakks (I don't know who it was... some blonde guy) and decapitated him.
The clothes were made from cloth and superglue. The accessories came from my fodder bin and the robot parts (chest, legs and such) were built from polystyrene sheet. All was painted (to look like rubber skin and clothing) and sealed.

Searching through fitting figures I came across the Norman Bates figure from McFarlane's Movie Maniacs line and found that he bears a striking resemblance to Mr. Bale.
Hair has sanded down, repainted and swapped, the rest of the figure was repainted as well. I carved and dremeled the 'old' John Connor head out of the helmet and glued a strap to it, then fixing it onto the figures belt. Then he was given a fitting weapon and presto - Leader of the Resistance!

John Connor after raiding the Skynet bunker gets downed in his chopper and has to fight a pretty beaten up T-600.
The T-600 lost his legs to my Dremel, details were added, such as the sides of the figure, where I added inner detailing. The ammo belt came from the figures's original weapon and the head came from a Kubrick's like T2 Tin Box set Endoskeleton fiugure.
John Connor was made from his own 4inch toy with the help of a 4inch The Dark Knight civilian Bruce Wayne head. (The figure that came with the converting sports car/Batmobile toy.) It is the best (only?) 4inch Christian Bale likeness out there and looks OK with a little paint.

![[Terminator Salvation - 4inch T-600 'Guardian Versi] As with my other 4inch T-600s this one I wanted to make since I heard that the toyline was cancelled and I wouldn't be able to get another version of this character. Since I think that the sucky paint job is responsible for the bad rep the toyline received I tried my hands on a more 'up-to-date' paint app. And I think it helps a lot.
This one was based on the scene where the captured humans were held captive by Skynet and guarded by a T-1 and a T-600 wearing a beanie hat or bandages around his head.
The beanie was made from cloth and superglue. The 'naked' foot came from that super ugly Force Unleashed 'Battle Damaged' Darth Vader. Different paint scheme on the head and there you go.

So I wanted to try myself at a repaint of that toy.
I decided to give him the flamethrower seen in the street scene where Markus Wright sees his first T-600 and meets Kyle Reese later on. The flamethrower was made from a Star Wars blaster of sorts with a handle from a Wing Commander Movie 4inch gun. The hose came from my fodder bin.

![[Terminator Salvation - 6inch Street Scene Diorama] Terminator salvation had one thing going for it - and that was cool Terminator designs. That was what got me intereted in doing customs of it. The stills we got to see of the T-600 in the streets or in the desert really got me exited, so I set out to do a diorama of it.
The scenery, the car and base were all made of polystyrene sheet, or whatever that stuff is called. Basically it's 5mm strong plastic sheet that you can cut using a scalpel and bend using a heat gun on it.
First, the car was built, I measured the Terminator figures for scale and got to work. At first I planned on doing the full car but that would have made it ridiculusly large for a figure backdrop. So it's pretty much half a car and some piece of street with house walls.
And there's more to come...

![[Harley Quinn - Dark Knight Style - 'the Arkham] This is a set I did pretty much right after I had the idea for the 'Arkham' spin on my customs.
The woman only known as Harley Quinn is obsessed with cutting herself and all sorts of pain, for her and all the people around. If she's not shooting someone (preferably in the face) she breaks out her medical instruments and wreaks havok on anyone not running fast enough. "Rearranging the facial expression to show more happiness" is what she calls it... The Joker is in love. Her makeup mimics the Jokers, but done in broad strokes of eyeliner and lipstick.
The Harley was made from a Matrix Switch figure, I liked the overall appearance of the figure, especially the shoes and the shirt. The design overall is 'understated' as it should be in the Nolan-verse, I think. The medical gloves are originally the hands of the Trinity figure that also supplied the head.
The Joker uses Spider-Man Norman Osbournes arms (and I honestly was too lazy to paint the shirts pattern on) but since he](userimages/customs/20500/20248-1.jpg) Harley Quinn - Dark Knight Style - 'the Arkham Dark Knightby BirdmanThis is a set I did pretty much right after I had the idea for the 'Arkham' spin on my customs.

Mr. Freeze is probably one of the more 'unrealistic' Batman villains of the bunch, yet he's one of the most interessting. My original idea was to make him some sort of serial killer that hangs his victims in an abandoned meat plants cold storage. That would work on film, but not in a toy so I decided to do him more traditionally...
A fine role for Willem Dafoe.
