![[Pretty Poison] Batman: The Animated Series has long been my favorite Batman series and TAS Ivy has been my favorite villianess right up there Julie Newmar's Catwoman. Thanks to the HUB airing the series again, I got inspired to finally finish Ivy.
Ivy's body and head are Obitsu and her hair is hand-rooted. Her bodice is from a pattern created from the Mattel version of the character's costume which was adapted for the 2-part soft bust body. Her tights are from the Mattel Ivy as are her boots. The bodice, gloves, and boots have been painted with fabric paint to simulate the look of leather.
The crossbow is made from a Barbie wrist cuff and GI Joe crossbow, modified and repainted.
Her flower pot (seen in B:TAS) is hand made from milliput, styrofoam, paint, and paper flowers.
The round base is also from the Mattel Ivy. The stand was removed and wood skewers fill the hole.](userimages/customs/35000/34731-1.jpg) Pretty Poison Batman Animatedby LaSirenofEireBatman: The Animated Series has long been my favorite Batman series and TAS Ivy has been my favorite villianess right up there Julie Newmar's Catwoman...4 comments | ![[Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith] "The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world, or a relationship... Everything has its time. And everything ends."- Sarah Jane Smith, Doctor Who (2005) "School Reunion"
~*In Memory of Elisabeth Sladen (Feburary 1, 1946- April 19, 2011)*~
If the Doctor is the definate article, then Elisabeth Sladen was the Companion, the definate article. So in tribute to this remarkable actress who turned her three year tenure on Doctor Who into a 30+ year odessey, here is Elisabeth Sladen as the Doctor's iconic companion in her most memorable attire, the Andy Pandy outfit, from her final episode of the original series, "The Hand of Fear".
This figure began as the Sarah Jane figure from the Sarah Jane Adventures two pack set, Sarah Jane and the Slitheen. The hair and red shirt of the original figure were removed, all paint stripped from the head sculpt and hands, and the entire figure was sanded down](userimages/customs/32500/32342-1.jpg) Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith Doctor Whoby LaSirenofEire"The universe has to move forward. I retained all of the original pieces of the Sarah Jane base figure with the exception of the coat, the bottom of the shirt, and original hair. The hair and all factory paint was removed from the head sculpt. The missing part of the scalp was sculpted with milliput. Saran hair was used to replace the original molded on hair and styled. The face was repainted with acrylic paint, watercolor pencils, and prismacolor colored pencils and sealed. The top part of the shirt was stripped of paint, sanded down, and painted in fleshtones. The cuffs of the coat were cut off with an exacto knife and the arms were sanded down. The hands were stripped of paint and repainted. The blue shirt and vest are hand-made. The purse is from the SJA set the base figure came with. The sonic screwdriver is borrowed from the 4th Doctor (who is in the process of being redone himself).
Hairstyle is based on Sarah's hair in New Who "School Reunion" episode.

Tarrant has been redone from head to toe to be as screen accurate as possible from his removable thimbles and functional pin cushion ring to his black rose suspenders and pink star lined top hat.
The original Medicom figure was stripped of its top hat and plastic hair. A new scalp was sculpted and angora mohair dyed bright orange was added. The Medicom head sculpt received a full repaint with the exception of the already accurate lime green eyes. The original lavender shirt was dyed pink and new lace added at the cuffs. The collar was modified to stand up and the Velcro replaced with tiny, functional buttons (the cuffs also button). The original vest was given working pockets and new interior lining. Purple stitching along the diamonds was added and the dark green diamonds painted an accurate black. The original pants remain the same with the exception of a button snap be](userimages/customs/29500/29135-1.jpg) The Mad Hatter |
![[Jack Sparrow] All of the original factory paint was removed from the HS and the hair cut off and more Johnny Depp-esque features were sculpted. The dreads are made from Caron Simply Soft Quick yarn. Body was given a tan base coat after a base coating of Modge Podge. The tatoo was drawn onto excess clear sticker paper, put on Jack's arm, and enhanced with acrylic paint. Jack's clothes were all done by hand after extensive research and screencapping. Will's shirt was modified into Jack's. The compass was is a scaled down model of a 1:1 paper model and actually opens. The weapons were all modified. The original Zizzle boots were repainted. The majority of Jack's beads are hand-made as are his rings and palm glove which are removable. Jack is as screen accurate as possible. Hidden detail: in a deleted scene from Curse of the Black Pearl, Jack shows Elizabeth scars on his chest and right arm- I included those scars on my Jack.
This attempt was completed in 2008. Another attempt is on the horizon.;D](userimages/customs/28500/28495-1.jpg) Jack Sparrow | |
