![[The Pink Crusader] Howdy! We, at the WGC have been hard at work trying to create and auction off customs to raise money for Samantha Scott, fiance of Toymaker B, Bill Doetter. Samantha is battling her second bout with cancer and the treatment costs, as many are aware, are astronomical. Many creators in the art community, including pros like the Shiflett brothers are donating, creating and auctioning items to help with these costs.
This is The Pink Crusader. She's a superhero that fights against and educates people about breast cancer. I thought she was a great choice for the benefit.
The figure is a Donna Troy base with Raven lower legs and restructured Harley Q. arms. A Black Widow head got a Mickie James hairdo and all the other details are sculpted. The cape was from Big Barda I believe.
The "Pink Power" base is included in the auction. If interested, ALL of the profit from the sale is going directly to Sam's Youcaring account. The top half is a Clown Face that I restructured from the chest up and totally resculpted the arms. The hands are from an SMC Juggernaut. I got rid of the knuckle bands and fixed the fingers. The wrist bands and belt are sculpted and the metal nipples are casts of pen tips. The head is an original sculpt built on the HOM Hulk head. The 2 weak points of the body for me were the tiny bodybuilder's waist and the fact that this guy could tie his shoes without bending over. I totally resculpted the mid-section and the waist. (after several failed attempts, mind you) The arms both got cut 1/2 inch shorter and the forearms were sculpted in. The veining was done with resin dragged along on a pin as it was congealing. Each finger and toe was cut off and sculpted individually.
The head was cast from the Art Asylum statue. It has 2 holes for different heights. A higher one for "pissed off" and a lower one for "really pissed off" I built a small scaffold to suspend the statue upsidedown while the rubber cured.
